Chrishell Stause Joins Neighbours as New Cast Member

Chrishell Stause is heading to Ramsay Street.

The Selling Sunset star, 42, who is married to Australian musician G Flip, made the bombshell announcement in a Thursday morning Instagram post.

‘I am honored and excited to join such a beloved and iconic show,’ said the US reality TV star of the Melbourne-produced soap.

‘Coming from the world of soaps in the US, it’s back to my first love in the entertainment industry. They pitched me an idea for a character, and I was immediately excited to figure out a way to make it happen. 

‘Ramsay Street here I come.’

Stause has previously appeared in American daytime television series All My Children, Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless. 

Her scenes on the iconic soap will air in late 2024. 

An executive producer for the series said viewers could ‘expect intrigue and surprises – and many implications for the residents of Ramsay Street’ when Stause’s character makes her debut. 

The big news comes after Stause addressed partner G Flip’s December claim that the lovebirds are planning to have children together. 

Chrishell stepped out looking incredibly glamorous last weekend at Netflix’s FYC event in LA to spruik season eight of her reality TV show.

And she didn’t leave the red carpet without giving fans a hint that she and her love, 30, are taking a big step toward starting a family, reported Access Hollywood. 

‘Our [family] update is in season eight. We really opened up on the show. So, I would hate to tell you now,’ she told reporter Lauren Herbert, unable to contain her smile.

‘And I have a little bit more time of peace before everybody knows so let me relish in that please.’

It comes after non-binary pop singer G Flip, whose real name is Georgia Flipo, revealed in December they are ready to settle down with wife Chrishell.

The Melbourne-born producer is reportedly excited at the idea of starting a family with Chrishell and said the pair ‘cherish’ the idea of becoming parents.

‘They [my future kids] can do whatever they want,’ they told The Daily Telegraph when asked if they’d like their future kids to be musicians. 

Stause stepped out at Netflix’s FYC event in LA to spruik season eight of her reality TV show, and she didn’t leave the red carpet without giving fans a hint that she and her love are taking a big step toward starting a family

However, the songwriter said at the time they had no plans yet to establish a ‘permanent’ home since Chrishell has a career based in the  US.

‘I think, just with work, it’s actually impossible for me to be based [anywhere] because I’m always on tour,’ G Flip explained.

‘So I just feel like I live out of a suitcase, so I don’t really have a base. But I do have 2 beds to rest my head, and one’s in LA, and one’s in Australia,’ they said. 

‘Our [family] update is in season eight. We really opened up on the show. So, I would hate to tell you now, and I have a little bit more time of peace before everybody knows so let me relish in that please,’ Chrishell told Access Hollywood

Elsewhere in the chat the ARIA award winner talked of the support they receive from Chrishell.

‘She’s great, and she’s always up for an adventure, she’s up to fly wherever and go wherever,’ they said.

G Flip and Chrishell tied the knot in a surprise Las Vegas wedding in May last year, with the pair hosting an intimate ceremony in front of a ‘very small group’ of people.

Chrishell first confirmed her romance with G Flip on the Selling Sunset reunion in May 2022, but the pair first met back in October 2021.
