Chloe Sevigny hilariously revealed her initial treatment of her Feud costar Tom Hollander was influenced by his performance in White Lotus.
The actress, 49, was a big fan of Tom’s, 56, portrayal of Quentin, Jennifer Coolidge’s homosexual frenemy on the HBO drama, and assumed he was a lot like his character when they first met on the set of their Ryan Murphy series.
‘I was like, “He’s my new gay best friend,” until I realized that he had a wife and kids,’ she said with a laugh to Variety.
‘And I was like, “Oh no!” I’d been pushing up against him. He must have been like, “She’s the biggest flirt I’ve ever encountered in my life.”‘
In 2023, Hollander welcomed his first child, a son, after rekindling his romance with interior designer Fran Hickman.

The couple got back together during lockdown, ten years after they called off their engagement in 2010.
Despite Chloe’s concern about her ‘flirting,’ Hollander maintained that she had nothing to worry about.
‘I didn’t feel she was flirting with me,’ he explained to the outlet. ‘One of the wonderful things about ‘Feud’ was, because I was playing a gay man, the relationships with all the ladies in the cast benefited.
He said there was no ‘tension’ like what can be found in heterosexual environments, where everyone is ‘keen to define where they stand’.
‘Here I was essentially playing the gay best friend, so it created this relaxed environment where we were all having fun,’ he added.
In Feud, Chloe costars as C.Z. Guest, Truman Capote’s (Hollander) close friend, who continued to support him even after he faced backlash for his controversial portrayal of the jet set in Esquire.
Hollander went on to say that his impression of Chloe changed after they met as well.
‘She comes across as a tough, straight-talking New Yorker,’ he said. ‘There’s a no-nonsense streetwise-ness to her. But then she breaks out with this laugh, and you realize there’s a goofiness to her that’s very appealing.’
Chloe’s admission comes after Tom humorously disclosed that he once mistakenly received the pay slip of Spider-Man star Tom Holland, attributing it to their remarkably similar names.
He marveled at how enormous Holland’s pay slip was, despite being only a small portion of his Avengers compensation.

Hollander clarified that the confusion with the pay slip happened during a brief period when both actors were represented by the same talent agency.
He also joked that it had been ‘very difficult’ to get mistaken for Tom Holland — who is 29 years younger than him — because he ‘was here first.’
While Hollander may not be as widely recognized as Tom Holland, he has made notable appearances in several major films, such as the 2005 adaptation of Pride & Prejudice and his portrayal of Lord Cutler Beckett in the highly successful Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise.
Additionally, he has garnered acclaim for his roles in Gosford Park, In The Loop and The Night Manager.
