Chloë Grace Moretz made a rare remark about her recent wedding to Kate Harrison on Monday.
While promoting her latest projects on the Today show, the 28-year-old actress mentioned the ‘dreamy’ ceremony, which took place earlier this month.
She brought up the subject while musing over the contradiction between her dark acting roles and her happy personal life.
‘Between the film I filmed this summer, called The Edge of Normal, and then doing rehearsals on this project — which is also not a lighthearted project — and then going away and having a dreamy wedding…’ Chloë said, referencing her off-Broadway play Caroline.
‘I think it’s such a funny juxtaposition of being an actor… we’re going and playing these dark characters, then we’re going and having the most monumental moments of our life happen,’ she reflected.
She added, ‘It was a wonderful break and a nice juxtaposition, for sure.’

The Kick-Ass star and model, 34, quietly tied the knot over Labor Day weekend.
The pair, who began in 2018, announced their engagement on January 1, 2025.
At the time, former child Chloë shared a New Year’s Day social media carousel that included a photo of the two women showing off matching diamond rings.
Ahead of the special day, she opened up to Vogue about how she and her now-wife were planning to personalize the event.
‘A big part of the wedding [is about] sharing things that Kate and I love with everyone that’s going to be there,’ she explained.
‘So there’s fishing, horseback riding and poker. Kate made a custom poker mat herself, so we’re going to kind of be leaning into it. Our second day is going to be line dancing and everything,’ she added.
Both brides enlisted Louis Vuitton for their wedding-day ensembles — which included separate getups for the ceremony and reception.
Chloë went in an unexpected direction, making a statement in a blue gown inspired by Old Hollywood.

Earlier this month the longtime entertainer shared an Instagram photo dump featuring her wife and captioned, ‘summery summary’
‘I honestly don’t even know if words can put together how I feel,’ she admitted.
‘The birth of the color [blue] started when I went to the Academy Gala with LV, and I wore this blue leather dress. I remember immediately talking to [my stylist] Nell, and I was like, maybe we should think about doing this [color for my wedding],’ she recalled.
And the performer said she never saw herself as a ‘white dress bride.’
‘It just feels like me,’ she said of the uncommon color. ‘I knew I would do something non-traditional, and not wear white, and kind of have it feel different, and I think it really does.’
The lovebirds have largely kept their romance out of the spotlight, and after seven years together, Chloë said what she cherishes most is the promise to keep choosing each other every day.
