Chloe Brockett has revealed the real reason she quit TOWIE after five years – and the status of her relationship with Love Island winner Jack Fincham.
The Ex on the Beach star, 23, says she feared still being on the show in a decade, admitting, ‘It has happened for some people, but it definitely wasn’t going to happen to me.’
After being cast on the ITVBe show aged 19 alongside her mother, Chloe became known for her fiery personality, romances with the likes of Roman Hackett and James Lock, and bitter fallouts, including blazing rows against her former best friend Amber Turner.
But as she has matured over the years, Chloe told MailOnline she dreaded still being on the show in her late 20s, like her former co-star Pete Wicks, 36, who left the series after nine years in 2023.
In an exclusive interview, ahead of the new Ex on the Beach launch, Chloe said: ‘Now I’ve left TOWIE, I’m really happy.

‘I got to the point that I had been on the show for five years and I didn’t feel like I could progress anymore. I have things going on where I can progress, so I wanted to put all my focus there.
‘I am really aware that those five years have gone by really fast and if I blink again, I’ll be on the show for 10 years and I just don’t think I can do that. It has happened for some people, but it definitely wasn’t going to happen for me.’
Chloe features on the new season of MTV show Ex on the Beach, which sees reality stars from America, Australia and the UK face their former partners in paradise, often with disastrous results.
But Chloe revealed she decided to leave the series early, opting out of being stuck between exes Yazmin Oukhellou and James Lock, who she had a fling with in 2021.
She explained: ‘I don’t want to spoil anything, but I actually wasn’t there when James arrived. I had left before he got there, I skipped it.
‘I left the show early, but it wasn’t because I couldn’t face it. It was reported that I left because I had a series of rows with different cast members but that wasn’t true.
‘The closer it came to Lockie entering the villa, I could tell Yaz was getting more anxious so I took myself out of the situation so she could continue being with him without me being there.
‘I thought him and Yazmin could have that awkward encounter. It was a good choice of mine and not a regret.’

TOWIE stars James and Yazmin have had an on-and-off relationship for many years and were even photographed together last week, sparking speculation they have reconciled.
Chloe enjoyed a brief romance with James, causing huge arguments between herself and Yazmin, and ultimately the end of their friendship.
When the former pals came face to face for the first time in over a year during Ex on the Beach, emotions ran high between them, with Yazmin sobbing over their past drama.
Chloe said: ‘I did not anticipate the situation to be as awkward as it was with Yazmin, we had really good times together and we were really getting along at certain points but there were certain moments that it was a little bit awkward.
‘When I spoke to her more about why she got so upset, I think she got herself worked up because we hadn’t spoken in a year, she was living in Dubai, I had been busy filming, and we hadn’t spoken… and not because there was any animosity, we were just busy.
‘I walked in expecting everything to be fine, but she had built it up in her own head, which was understandable.
‘It happened four years ago now with Lockie, I said sorry when it happened and I’ve moved on from it but from her, which I fully understand, they did have a long relationship… there are still unanswered questions there. I wanted to take myself out of it so they could deal with it together.’
Chloe, who stars on Ex on the Beach alongside former Love Island winners Paige Turley and Finn Tapp, and Married At First Sight Australia bride Tamara Joy, says she didn’t find romance on the show.

She said: ‘It’s a funny one. We posted some pictures, and everyone thought we were back together but we have arguments and then deleted the pictures, and we won’t talk… it’s best just to stay out of it.
‘If I decide to explore things with Jack then I’ll be keeping it off social media. We have such a nice relationship whether that be a friendship or romantically, but our problem is we will have an argument, delete all our pictures and everyone thinks we have broken up again… then I’ll be angry and say something so it’s just best if I keep it off social media.
‘The max between us is six weeks so you’ll probably never see a photo of us again. We have been on and off since I started TOWIE so five years now.
‘But no, I’m not ready for marriage… I’ve got a couple more girls’ holidays left in me yet.’
