Usher’s ex Chilli brushed off his recent revelations about how she rejected his proposal, while enjoying a getaway to Jamaica with boyfriend Matthew Lawrence.
The member of the popular R&B group TLC, 52, and the actor took to their Instagram Stories on Thursday to share a clip as they relaxed at the Sandals Dunn’s River resort.
The duo cozied up next to each other on pool chairs while celebrating the Boy Meets World alum’s 44th birthday.
‘@Sandalsresorts was a blast,’ the singer, born Rozonda Ocielian Thomas, captioned the clip, adding a heart-eye emoji.
Chilli is reportedly not thinking twice about Usher’s, 45, recent confessions detailing how she denied his marriage proposal while they were dating, according to a source who spoke with TMZ.

Instead she and Matt have been enjoying the local hot spots, the island’s nature, and even had a romantic candlelight dinner.
The insider also told the publication that Chilli takes marriage very seriously, and will not ‘hop into a commitment’ if she doesn’t believe that she and her partner are both ready for marriage.
Last year Matthew discussed the possibility of the couple having kids in the future, telling Entertainment Tonight: ‘I hope. That’s the game plan. That’s what we’re trying to do.’
He further gushed about his girlfriend, saying, ‘I’ve never gotten to be able to experience [this] kind of relationship before. She’s a really, really special human being.’ He added, ‘I wish more people on the planet were like her. We’d be much better off.
He also revealed they first met when they were on the same flight to Atlanta.
Eventually they took their relationship up a notch, and now the actor has met Chilli’s family, including her son Tron, 26, whom she shares with ex Dallas Austin.
Matthew and Chilli started dating following his divorce from Cheryl Burke, in November 2022.

It comes after Usher opened up about feeling heartbroken following his split from Chilli after three years of dating in 2004.

‘If I am to be honest, I was her No. 1 fan,’ he admitted. ‘At the age of 8, I put her poster on my wall and said, ‘Man that girl is so beautiful. One day I’m going to meet her.’
While Usher is seven years her junior, he insisted that, at the time, he wanted a more serious relationship, but she ‘didn’t believe that’ he was ‘actually in love with her as much as’ he said.
‘I was a young man, and she had very specific rules that didn’t work for me,’ he told People. ‘We were missing each other. I really did want to have a different type of relationship where she was there with me, and she couldn’t be.’
Still, he said he ‘wanted to marry her.’
‘I proposed and she told me no,’ he revealed. ‘I went through a great deal of pain after that, not trusting women or wanting to open up.’
The performer admitted he ‘hurt her too’ but their separation ‘broke’ his heart.
Chilli previously told the outlet that while their relationship ‘looked great,’ she said ‘he knew he had to be a certain way with’ her, but ‘couldn’t.’
Meanwhile, Usher said they ‘were cool with each other’ after their breakup.
‘I was very careful with that,’ he insisted. ‘I really did love that girl, and I was like, I don’t want to play with you. Like, ‘I can’t give you what I gave you. I did everything that I thought you would’ve wanted me to do, but I guess my good wasn’t great enough.’

A source told DailyMail.com that the OMG singer made the decision to wed after taking advice from his spiritual advisor Amba Kahly Su.
This is Usher’s third marriage. He was previously married to Tameka Foster, 53, from 2007 until 2009. They share two teenage sons, Usher ‘Cinco’ Raymond V, 16, and Navid Ely, 15.
He was also married to Grace Miguel from 2015 until 2018. The pair did not have any children.
