Cher revealed that she has gone back to work on her memoir after ‘totally chickening out’ while promoting her Christmas album on Thursday on a talk show.
The 77-year-old actress and singer during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon was asked by Jimmy, 49, about her memoir coming out.
‘Yeah,’ Cher said unenthusiastically while wearing an all-black outfit along with fingerless black gloves.
‘This is exciting,’ Jimmy said.
‘Uhhh,’ Cher said.

‘No, what do you mean?,’ Jimmy said
‘No, you know why? Because I just totally chickened out because I guess I was, I don’t know what I was, I was just totally chickening out,’ Cher said.
‘I didn’t put in some things that need to be in and they’re not comfortable, but they need to be in. So I have to go back and man up,’ she added.
‘You got to do it,’ Jimmy said.
‘Yeah,’ Cher agreed.
‘It’s like beyond therapy, it’s tough,’ Jimmy said.
Jimmy asked if she had a title for the memoir and Cher said she did not have one yet.
‘Should we come up with one?,’ Jimmy asked and Cher agreed it could be a great game.

Jimmy then excitedly suggested it could be titled ‘Over-Cher-Ing’, but Cher did not share his enthusiasm for it.

Cher was on the NBC talk show to promote her 27th studio album titled Christmas, which is her first album of original material in 10 years and her first Christmas album.
She shared how she recruited Stevie Wonder, 73, to perform with her on What Christmas Means To Me and Darlene Love, 82, to join her for Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).
Cher at age 17 sang backup for Darlene who originally sang Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) on the 1963 seasonal compilation album, A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector.
Christmas was released in October and has reached number one of the US Top Holiday Albums chart.
DJ Play A Christmas Song was released in early October as the album’s lead single.
Cher performed the song on Thursday during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

‘Um, you know my song If I Could Turn Back Time?,’ Cher said.
‘Of course, it’s a classic,’ Jimmy said.
‘Well, I wrote it when I found out I was gonna be booked on your show,’ Cher said.
Jimmy, who was accused of creating a ‘toxic work environment’ in a September article by Rolling Stone, has been host of the NBC talk show since 2014.
