Cher admitted that she doesn’t know who she lost her virginity to as she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday.
The music legend, 78, (born Cheryl Sarkisian) got candid about her life as she spoke to the chat show host about her memoir at his studio in Los Angeles.
Jimmy noted that in her memoir, Cher speaks about the night she lost her virginity to a guy in Toluca Lake – which he said was not far from the studio.
But Cher appeared to have forgotten that she noted that personal detail in her book and burst out laughing.
Jimmy then asked if she would be able to point out the spot that it happened in the nearby neighbourhood.
‘I wouldn’t remember the spot and I don’t remember the guy!’ Cher declared, as the audience

As Cher sat down to chat to Jimmy, the chat show host asked: ‘You wrote about losing your virginity to a guy in Toluca Lake.
‘I did?’ Cher asked, sounding surprised, before she started laughing and turned to the audience.
Jimmy continued: ‘Which is not far from here – do you think we could find the spot? Like do you think you would know?’
Cher laughed as she replied: I wouldn’t remember the spot and I don’t remember the guy!’
‘He hasn’t reached out to you?’ Jimmy asked. ‘You know he must have been telling everybody right?’
Cher said: ‘No. I have people that I’ve mentioned in there and I’m wondering what do they think?’
During her Jimmy Kimmel appearance, the singer opened up about why she stayed with Sonny Bono for so long while promoting Part One of her new memoir.
She first gained fame in the mid-1960s as part of the duo Sonny & Cher, during her tumultuous marriage with Sonny from 1964 to 1975.

They also starred in The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, which debuted in 1971, and which the pop icon attributes to their marriage staying together as long as it did.
‘I have to tell you something. Doing the show kept us together, because on the show, we had so much fun. We were equal, you know?’ Cher began.
‘That was — I mean, I loved — I loved it. We loved it. We worked so well together. We had so much fun, and it really kept us closer longer than I really wanted.’
She also mentions a man she named in the book, but wouldn’t name on television, who was a big part of helping Cher leave Sonny.
Cher said: ‘I have people that I’ve mentioned in there, and I’m wondering, you know, what do they think. Like, one guy in particular, who was… he was very instrumental in helping me to leave Sonny.
‘I wonder, I mentioned his whole name, so, I wonder, how does he feel about it? But he must feel good, because he was a really good person.’
She added that she thinks this particular person is in Texas right now, though she bristled when Jimmy wanted to find him and get him on the phone.

The first part of her memoir – which covers her early years before taking a music hiatus to focus on acting – was released in November 2024, with the second part set to arrive in November 2025.
However, Cher admitted with a laugh that she hasn’t even started the second half, as Jimmy questioned whether the book would actually arrive in November.
‘I was late. I was at the end of everything, and I finished it when they had to publish it,’ Cher admitted.
‘My book came out by the date that they wanted it out. But it just — I’m a little tardy. But I
think I’ll be better this time.’
