The Critics Choice Awards and Chelsea Handler are both set to return to E! for next year’s event.
The annual awards show, which will be marking its 30th anniversary in 2025, will be broadcast on the E! network for the first time since 2007.
Plus, the always entertaining Handler will be at the helm for the milestone event, which will take place at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, after hosting the show for the past two years.
‘Returning for the third year to host the Critics Choice Awards has been made even sweeter knowing it will now air on E!,’ Handler said in a statement. ‘I feel like I’m returning to my birthplace.’
While the comedian served up all the jokes and bits for the most recent show in January, she also put on a fashion show extravaganza by donning three different dresses in yellow, green, and black.

Handler, 49, had long called the E! network home as host of the talk show, Chelsea Lately, for seven seasons from 2007 to 2014.
She also did three more seasons of the scripted spinoff, After Lately, from 2011- 2013, along with a single season of The Chelsea Handler Show in 2006.
The annual award show, which honors the finest in cinematic achievement, and is chosen by American-Canadian Critics Choice Association, is returning to E! after an 18-year gap by the time of the event.
‘With the incredible Chelsea Handler returning as our host, we know this special 30th anniversary show is going to be our biggest and best show yet,’ said Joey Berlin, CEO of the Critics Choice Association, in an report from the E! network.

The broadcasting of the ceremony moved to E! for the sixth installment, which was back in 2001, and went for four years, until 2004, before it moved to The WB for two years, before returning to E! for a year.

The Critics Choice Association will announce this year’s nominees for the best in TV on December 5 at 12 p.m ET/9 a.m. PT, while film nominations will be made public one week later, on December 12, at 12 p.m ET/9 a.m.
The 30th anniversary show on E! will be getting an earlier start, kicking off with a one-hour red carpet pre-show before the ceremony begins.
The three-hour ceremony for the 2025 Critics Choice Awards will air live on Sunday, January 12, from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, beginning at 7 p.m ET/4 p.m. PT on the E! network.
It will also be available to be streamed on Peacock the following day, on January 13.
