CHARLOTTE Dawson’s troubled relationship with her fiance Matt Sarsfield has thrown doubts over their future wedding plans.
The couple split after an explosive row at the launch of her beauty brand’s lip kits last week – but reunited just days later.
It’s the second time they’ve ended their nine-year relationship, having previously split in August last year after Charlotte found messages to other women on Matt’s phone.
Charlotte is claimed to have confided in pals about their problems – and admitted fears about walking down the aisle.
A friend of Charlotte told The Sun: “Charlotte is extremely apprehensive about marrying Matt.
“They’ve been engaged for five years but their relationship has been far from smooth sailing.
“Their latest explosive argument has planted further doubts in Charlotte’s mind.
“When they’re good, they’re good – but problems often arise when either one or both of them are out.
“They have blazing rows that, in the moment, make it seem impossible that they’ll make it down the aisle, but then they’ll kiss and make up.”
The pair have been dating since 2016 and have three children together.
The Sun previously revealed how Charlotte’s family and friends have begged her to bin the shamed rugby star in the past.
Despite her quiet confession to pals that the wedding won’t go ahead, Charlotte has put on a united front with Matt.
The pair even got matching tattoos after their latest split in honour of their kids, Noah Jude and Gigi.
In September poured cold water over her wedding plans – admitting it’s not at the forefront of her mind.
She told The Sun: “I mean I can’t even think about a wedding right now but Matthew’s dream would just be to take me to Vegas and get married with no one there and for it to just be us, but obviously I have different plans.”
She continued: “I cannot have a small wedding. If I’m getting married, I want the full thing and I want it going on for days and days and days. I don’t like saying bye.
“We’ve got FOMO, and I like saying ‘I’ll see you in the morning.’ I don’t like leaving people.
“So I just feel like I just want it to go on for days. I don’t want anyone to go home.
“The guests will be like ‘please let us go,’ and I’ll say ‘just one more.’”
Charlotte is now determined to enjoy her youngest child’s first Christmas as she looks ahead to a fresh start New Year.
Our source added: “With Matt and Charlotte it’s like they can’t live with and can’t live without each other.
“Her friends are here for her no matter what happens in the future.”
The Sun has reached out to Charlotte’s rep for comment.
