Charlotte Church has called out to gardeners to come work at her retreat, The Dreaming, in Wales in exchange for free accommodation and food and ‘time immersed in the magic’ of the location.
The singer, 39, opened the green wellness retreat in her home country in 2023 to help people ‘reconnect with themselves and the natural world.
And she made a rare social media appearance on Wednesday asking her followers who are ‘feeling a call to the land’ to come stay for up to six months to do garden and maintenance work at The Dreaming.
Sitting in the idyllic green forest, Charlotte filmed a video calling for someone ‘physically capable, adaptable and up for getting stuck in’ to get in touch.
She began: ‘Hello my loves, Charlotte here with a little call out from The Dreaming. We are looking for someone wonderful to join out garden and maintenance work exchange team.
‘So you’ll be working alongside our amazing head gardener Sarah and helping our team care for our edible landscapes and our ornamental gardens. And we are nestled 47 acres of ancient woodland, forestry – total delightful beauty.’

She went on: ‘I suppose this is an opportunity to sort of come have the experience of what it feels like to live in community, what it feels like to live in really close symbiotic connection with nature.
‘We’re looking for someone who’s physically capable, who’s adaptable and who’s really up for getting stuck in.
‘So if this calls to you, we have opportunities for people to stay from either six weeks to up to six months, your food and your accommodation are included.’
Charlotte concluded: ‘So if you’re feeling a call to the land then please drop us a message and we can send you over all of the info. Sending you and yours much love in these times.’
Sharing the video on the official The Dreaming Instagram page, she captioned it: ‘✨Join Our Work Exchange Team ✨ We’re looking for helping hands to join our Garden & Maintenance Work Exchange at The Dreaming.
‘Spend your days outdoors caring for the land, supporting the retreat, and becoming part of our community, in exchange for food, board, and time immersed in the magic of this place.’
The Voice of an Angel star bought £1.5 million mansion, Rhydoldog House, with her husband Jonathan Powell in 2021 and worked hard to convert it into a green retreat boasting eight different rooms and able to accommodate up to 16 people at once.
Branded as a place for paying guests to ‘reconnect with themselves and the natural world’, Charlotte faced a number of building problems and planning battles to transform the property – but finally opened the retreat in 2023.

The seven-bedroom mansion has three storeys, a helicopter landing and a 200-year-old barn on its 47 acres.
It is a wellness retreat with cycling, archery, foraging, hiking and strength and conditioning lessons available – with a hot tub, plunge pool and outdoor cinema.
One of the eight guest rooms is named ‘The Womb’ and is described as a ‘celebration of womanhood’ that is designed to make you feel ‘swaddled’ and contains a pink shower made of tadelakt (a natural, lime-based plaster indigenous to Marrakech) that Charlotte likens to ‘a very large and unusual-shaped vagina’.
The retreat also contains a Healing Room where guests can partake in movement, yoga, sound healing, and group work, as well as many gardens, a Potting Shed, Japanese Tea House and a Waterfall Shower.
Food and drink is included, though alcohol is strictly banned, with meals being communal and mostly vegetarian and vegan, while guests are encouraged to help plant and harvest vegetables and cook alongside the chefs.
Speaking about what people can expect when coming to the retreat during an appearance in 2023, Charlotte said people can ‘pick and choose’ which activities they do to discover what their bodies need.
She told Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett on their Dish podcast: ‘Everything’s supposed to be very much that you, it’s like a buffet. You pick and choose. When you come there, you drop into your body and you, and you start to really feel out, what does your body need? What do I wanna do?
‘For some people, they just need total radical rest ’cause their nervous systems are burnt out, for other people they need to go and explore and like really be captivated by nature, and almost return to that childlike wonder and awe.

‘So, it’s nature connection, sound healing – I’m a practitioner there and I go and do sound journeys and I do singing to the land.
‘And then the third pillar of it is ceremony in terms of like rituals and ways of being, living really close to the land, and really seasonally.’
It comes a month after Charlotte revealed her reaction to taking magic mushrooms, claiming it made her ‘relationship with nature blossom’.
Appearing on BBC Radio 4 podcast, This Natural Life, in July, she opened up about appreciating nature as she gets older.
‘My relationship with nature started to blossom partly when I had kids and then partly when I first took magic mushrooms for the first time,’ she said.
‘When I took magic mushrooms, everything, everything in nature just opened up and began communicating. When you see that you can’t unsee it.’
Magic mushrooms are a type of hallucinogenic drug which can affect a person’s thoughts. They can either be eaten or made into tea.

Charlotte previously revealed that she first took the drug more than a decade ago.
In an interview with The Skylark, she said: ‘When I was about 27, I took magic mushrooms for the first time. That experience created a different sort of connection, a deeper understanding, far more intrinsic and connected to patterns.
‘You can never unsee or unfeel that connection once it happens. Ever since then I’ve been diving deeper and deeper into my spiritual journey – the idea of the unseen world, the wonder, awe, and power of nature.
‘I had such a four-walls, boxed-in life, and so did my ancestors before me for quite a long time. When you’re a working class family, the majority of your energy is spent doing the survival dance rather than the sacred dance.’
