The Traitors’ Charlotte Chilton has vowed to step back from social media amid her ongoing paternity battle with singer Conor Maynard.
The star, 32, claimed in June last year that Conor, also 32, was allegedly the father of her unborn ‘miracle’ baby, having fallen pregnant as a result of a one-night stand and going on to welcome baby Penelope, 13 months.
Two paternity tests have since found that the singer, who recently announced his engagement to his girlfriend Kitty Bertrand, is not the father, although Charlotte has staunchly insisted he is the dad and the test results were incorrect.
In another plot twist, last week it was alleged by Conor that Charlotte slept with her Traitors co-star Jonny Holloway and claimed he could be the father – a fact Charlotte insisted was untrue and alleged Conor was her only romantic partner at the time.
On Monday, she took to Instagram to share a lengthy statement about the mental toll the saga has put upon her and vowed to step back for her mental health.

Charlotte wrote: ‘I recently shared my story in an interview with The Sun, where I was able to speak openly and honestly – to address all speculation and share my truth…
‘This has always been about my daughter, her paternity, her right to have her birth certificate reflect the truth, and to understand her medical heritage…
‘It has never been about money or fame. I am blessed to have a strong, loving family who have supported me from the beginning and continue to stand beside me. I have told my story, and I have told the truth…
‘For my own well-being and most importantly for the protection of my daughter. I will not allow myself or my daughter to be used for anyone’s personal gain…
‘As Conor himself said: “All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news – there is a child at the heart of this and that should not be forgotten”…
‘Sadly that reminder seems to have been forgotten – by him and by others…
‘To everyone who has shown kindness, understanding and support through this time – thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Your compassion has meant more than words can express.’

Now, in another wild turn in the paternity row, Jonny said he is ‘lost for words with everything that has happened’ as he warned fans he will be telling his story soon.
Jonny said: ‘Hello my fellow faithfuls, waiting for me to make a video. I want to speak on behalf of the thousands of men out there, veterans, anyone that’s been in a similar situation to what I have been in and been through and still currently going through, it’s really not been easy.
‘I’ve never felt so mentally weak and this is coming from someone who has been blown up in Afghanistan.’
He continued: ‘It’s been a huge battle in the house over of the past few years. Family divides, break ups, children being essentially taken away from me and I hope to start the future with more positivity and with my determination I’ve managed to get this far, it’s not been easy.’

Jonny added: ‘I’ve had my name trodden through the dirt for a very long time by individuals, all things that aren’t true. Forgot to tell you, I have a new house.
‘What’s supposed to be a beautiful day for me has been tarnished and it’s been so hard for me to fathom what’s been going on.
‘I’m honestly lost for words with everything that has happened. I think it’s time for me to tell my story and what I’ve been through. Not just for me, but what I stand for as an individual.’
He finished: ‘The truth will come out.’
Jonny is yet to publicly state whether he was intimate with Charlotte but he did share a video on social media on Tuesday to say he has never cheated on his now ex-wife Lauren Ward.
