Charlie Hunnam and his longtime girlfriend, Morgana McNelis, looked more in love than ever as they made a rare joint appearance at the 2025 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.
The notoriously private couple, who have been together for more than two decades, posed arm-in-arm on the red carpet Sunday evening, flashing warm smiles as they leaned into each other for photos.
The Sons of Anarchy star, 45, cut a dashing figure in a sleek double-breasted Saint Laurent suit jacket, paired with a midnight-blue silk shirt left slightly unbuttoned.
Keeping his look effortlessly cool, he slipped one hand into his pocket while standing proudly beside McNelis.
Meanwhile, McNelis, 42, stunned in a golden satin gown that draped elegantly over her figure, featuring a plunging neckline.
She accessorized with a sparkling metallic clutch, delicate jewelry, and wore her blonde waves loose, adding to her understated glamour.

Later in the night, Hunnam took the stage to present the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, which went to Cristin Milioti for her performance as Sofia Falcone in HBO’s The Penguin.
Back in 2020, Hunnam explained he feels ‘indifferent’ to the institution of marriage after tying the knot to actress, Katharine Towne, for the first time at age 18.
The former couple wed in Las Vegas after a whirlwind three weeks of dating in 1999, before divorcing in 2002.
When asked if he had any future plans to walk down the aisle again on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM radio show, Hunnam said he would begrudgingly get hitched again.
‘I’ll do it because it’s important to her but I don’t have any great romantic feelings towards it,’ he said of marrying McNelis.
He quickly retracted the comments just a few weeks later as he explained to TooFab that his remarks were ‘a stupid thing to say.’
‘That really hurt my girlfriend’s feelings and I really regretted saying that,’ the Queer as Folk actor admitted. ‘I actually didn’t mean it at all, it was, frankly, just stupid s**t I said in the heat of the moment.’
Hunnam continued: I’m, like, so romantic, and the reality is I sort of consider myself married. I’ve been with my girlfriend for 14 years. I suppose what I was trying to articulate the official government sanction of it doesn’t mean anything to me but the romance of it means an enormous amount.’

The star went on to blame his comments on spending ’12 hours a day for three days doing interviews.’
‘All of a sudden we’re bantering about one thing and I get asked my opinion about marriage. I just said something that doesn’t really reflect my true thoughts at all,’ he insisted. ‘Family is very important to me.’
When asked if he would like to marry McNelis, Hunnam answered: ‘I was always a late bloomer. I’ve left it for a long time. Everything is great and we were just pursuing other interests in our lives but we’re certainly coming up to that time where we’ve got to start switching it up.’
Back in 2016, Charlie defended his long-time girlfriend after she received bullying comments online.
‘This is a girl I love very much and have spent the last eleven years of my life with and hope to spend the next sixty years,’ he explained via a statement on Facebook. ‘She has been my loyal and supportive partner long before I had any success or money.’

He previously told the U.K.’s 7 Nights magazine via SFGate that they lived on a ranch in California.
‘My girlfriend and I just bought a ranch, so we are getting out of Hollywood completely,’ he said in 2013. ‘We’ve got 30 chickens and a couple of donkeys, a couple of ducks and we’ve got a big, organic garden. We are going to try to live a bit more sustainably.’
Hunnam has also praised McNelis, a jewelry designer, for being his biggest cheerleader.
‘It’s very hard to be with an actor. She’s required to share parts of me that she wouldn’t really want to share, of course. And with the certain nature of this role, it’s going to be times 10,’ he told People of landing the part of Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, before dropping out.
