Chappell Roan debuted a new single with country charm during her inaugural performance on Saturday Night Live.
On November 2, the same day Kamala Harris made a surprise appearance on the show, the 26-year-old singer first performed her smash hit Pink Pony Club.
Afterwards, she got back on stage and sang a brand new song titled The Giver about how she ‘gets the job done.’
Onstage, she was joined by a fiddler and showed off honeyed twang dripping from her vocals as she performed in a genre unexpected from her.
In true Chappell Roan nature, however, the song featured her signature anthemic choruses and breathtaking, inimitable runs.

‘When you need the job done, call me, baby,’ she sang. ‘Cause you ain’t gotta tell me. It’s just in my nature. Take it like a taker, ’cause, baby, I’m a giver.’
Complete in a gingham-patterned, frilly bra top and micro shorts, the star danced around on stage in matching cowboy boots.
During the bridge, she got down her knees and spoke to the camera.
‘All you country boys saying you know how to treat a woman right… Well, only a woman knows how to treat a woman right. She gets the job done.’
The Missouri native — who recently wrapped her Midwest Princess tour — recently revealed she has a new album in the works.
Earlier this week, she shared a photo posing with her album cover on a vinyl.
In her caption, she teased an upcoming release while making a Love Island reference.
She wrote: ‘Album kinda popped off [in my opinion] but it is time to welcome a hot new bombshell into the villa.’

Just two weeks earlier, her producer Dan Nigro revealed in an interview that five tracks have already been completed so far.
In a profile with The New York Times, he said that her next album will feature a ‘fun, up-tempo country song,’ a ‘couple of ballads’ and a ‘mid-tempo rock song.’
At the time, he also said that there will be a track featuring a fiddle.
‘I’ll say that much,’ Nigro told the publication. ‘It’s a new version of Chappell.’
It’s hard to ignore that the message of her country-themed single off of her upcoming album coincides with the fact that she shared the screen with the current Vice President and presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
Previously, Roan — born Kayleigh Amstutz — went viral after she refused to endorse the VP for the presidential election.
She faced backlash for not officially endorsing a candidate, and in late September, she doubled down on her prior comments.
At the time, the musician took to TikTok to clarify her political stance.
Prior to her surprise song debut, she performed her hit single Pink Pony Club in a sparkling, figure-hugging gown

She reiterated that while she plans to vote for Kamala Harris, she has no intention of making a formal endorsement.
‘If you don’t understand what I’m saying, it’s a lost cause,’ she said at the beginning of the clip.
‘Endorsing and voting are completely different and I don’t agree with a lot of what is going on with policies, like obviously, f*** the policies on the right… but also f*** some of the policies on the left,’ she said.
Roan continued, explaining ‘that’s why I can’t endorse.’
‘I can’t put my entire name or my entire project behind one [candidate], because there is no way I can stand behind some of the left’s completely transphobic and completely genocidal views. There are huge problems on both sides.’
