Chappell Roan had a laugh at her own expense this weekend, during her performance at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York.
The singer, 27, who is currently on tour, was performing in a sizzling structured red corset and a high-cut black thong, before she seemed to realize her state of undress.
In videos shared to social media, the Missouri-born pop artist — who set up a backstage petting zoo at her recent show in Scotland — appeared to forget she was wearing the skimpy thong when she took a look at herself on the big screen.
‘Oh my god, I forgot my bottom was just a thong,’ she told the crowd, while momentarily putting a hand to cover her bare derriere.
‘I looked up on the screen and saw my a** and I was like…’ she said, making a shocked face, before adding, ‘It’s gone.’
The Pink Pony Club hitmaker took the moment in stride, laughing it off with the crowd.

The Grammy-nominated singer’s corset featured floral patterns and a lace-up back.
It had small gold embellishments dangling from the edges, creating a theatrical look.
Roan delighted fans with a setlist that included hits like Casual, The Subway, and Hot to Go.
The show took a special turn when she brought out an iconic surprise guest. After telling the audience that she always covers Heart’s 1977 hit Barracuda, Roan welcomed the band’s guitarist, Nancy Wilson, to the stage.
Elsewhere during the performance, Chappell thanked her fans for ‘sticking by me.’
‘It’s been quite a year,’ she said, as per Billboard. ‘I can’t believe we’re here, honestly. It’s crazy. Thank you for sticking with me through it, I know it was… it’s been really hard.’
‘I’m so glad I can come to work like this.’
‘I just needed a place like this so bad when I was 13, 14.’
‘I just wanted to dress up however I wanted, and I wanted to wear makeup and look weird. So I hope you know that you’re welcome here, however you show up today. You are cherished.’
Saturday’s concert is the first of eight U.S. pop-up shows that Chappell has added to her European Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things Tour.

While appearing on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, she was asked by the host if she would ever have children.
She answered unequivocally: ‘All of my friends who have kids are in hell. I don’t know anyone who’s happy and has children at this age.’
The star reiterated, ‘I have not met anyone who is happy, anyone who has light in their eyes, anyone who has slept [who has a child under five].’
The remarks prompted a fiery debate online.

One person wrote: ‘Chappell Roan going on Call Her Daddy saying none of her friends with kids are happy, is a prime example of why you cannot just vent to anyone.’
Someone else wished, ‘May the friendship of narcissistic childless women with no sense of loyalty ever find me.’
Meanwhile, others related to Chappell’s statements, with one person weighing in: ‘The people who have made me most scared to become a mother are mothers.
‘What Chappell said is all I see because lots of mothers I see are like, “This is miserable” and mothers can also be the most competitive, nasty and judgmental people.’
