Chaos on live radio as US star gets her head stuck in a giant Easter egg leaving her co-hosts in stitches

There was chaos live on Heart Breakfast on Thursday morning as a huge US star on the show got her head stuck in a giant Easter egg.

Ashley Roberts appeared on her usual slot with co-stars Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden when things quickly went pear-shaped during the seasonal segment.

The former Pussycat Doll singer, 43, had to have Amanda rush to her aid as she began to get covered with chocolate on her head and down her back. 

The trio were discussing on the show when Easter falls this year and had a call in from a chocolate expert called Naomi. 

She introduced herself on the airwaves saying: ‘I work for a chocolate cooking brand called Cocoba Chocolate, and we are based down in Kent in Rochester, and we have set ourselves the task of making quite large eggs this year.’

Jamie replied saying: ‘When you say quite large, what, are you talking like ostrich eggs?’

The expert responded saying: ‘Well, it’s actually a four kg Easter egg. So, it’s 52 cms. 

‘Naturally, guys, we’ve actually sent something into the studio, so it should be with you. That’s your special breakfast sorted, Amanda!’

As Amanda exclaimed ‘oh my God!’, Jamie added:  ‘Our producers just bought into the studio an egg the size of… I mean, to give a sense of scale…’

Ashley then decided to put it over her head as she exclaimed: ‘I’m in an egg right now, you guys. A chocolate egg.

Hello everybody… Wait, I’m stuck! Oh my gosh!’

As thing started to get messy, Amanda screamed: ‘Oh my gosh, you’ve got chocolate all round your chin! That is so funny! No, let me have it.’

Amanda then helped her pull it off as Ashley added: ‘Oh yeah. For the next Avengers, I’m Chocolate Woman!’

Amanda continued: ‘Oh no, she’s got chocolate down the back of her neck. Oh my God. No, don’t move. Oh my God, don’t move’, as Ashley added: ‘You’re rubbing chocolate into my skin!’

The chaos live on air comes a day after Amanda flashed her followers in a tiny lavender skort as she channeled iconic Legally Blonde character Elle Woods at the Heart FM studios on Tuesday afternoon.

The presenter and TV personality, 54, looked just like the film character played by Reese Witherspoon as she strutted her stuff and filmed a hilarious new video for Instagram.

She looked ready for business in a cinched light purple jacket which she wore with a matching skirt that flaunted her tanned legs.

Amanda then boosted her height with heels in the same hue and toted a small, stylish bag.

With her cute dog in tow, she wore her honey tresses in a perfect bouncy blow dry and opted for a glowing and bronzed makeup look. 

In her social media clip, she flaunted her ensemble and said: ‘Good morning. It’s Tuesday and I’m wearing another outfit by the fabulous Dethia. I think they’re a Vietnamese brand, they ship worldwide. Super cute, spring colours.

Amanda continued: ‘Oh no, she’s got chocolate down the back of her neck. Oh my God. No, don’t move’

She then suddenly said: ‘This is a skort!’ and dramatically pulled up the skirt to show the hidden shorts underneath. 

Amanda continued: ‘You think it’s a skirt but it’s a pair of shorts, which is good because your decency’s all intact. Nice and fitted, I mean it’s the perfect fit for me.

‘You also think I’ve got a shirt on.. well I do not,’ she added as she unbuttoned the front of her blazer to reveal nothing underneath.

She said: ‘It’s just one of those things that stick inside so it’s not very hot to wear and I just like it. I feel very Legally Blonde.’
