Channel Nine warns MAFS 2025 contestants to avoid attention-seeking former cast

The drama is already heating up behind the scenes of the latest season of Married At First Sight, and it’s not just the new relationships causing a stir.

Channel Nine have reportedly issued a stern warning to the new brides and grooms of season 12, urging them to steer clear of former cast members who are desperately trying to cling to the spotlight.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that the network has become increasingly concerned after it was discovered that several past participants from seasons 8, 9, and 10 have been sliding into the Instagram DMs of the new cast members, eager to forge connections and stay relevant.

‘Producers are not happy about this at all,’ one source revealed.

‘They’ve seen how some of these former cast members have become “fame-hungry” and are now trying to use the new cast to keep their name in the headlines. It’s creating unnecessary distractions for the show.’

The warning comes after Daily Mail Australia revealed a MAFS 2025 groom was in hot water after he was caught messaging a bride from a previous season on Instagram, sparking fears that these behind-the-scenes interactions could derail the already explosive series.

‘It’s one thing to be friendly, but some of these past contestants are blatantly trying to insert themselves into the new season’s drama. The producers have had enough,’ the source added.

‘They’ve been told to avoid getting caught up in the fame game. It’s about finding love, not chasing clout,’ said another insider.

The network is particularly wary of some of the more notorious personalities from past seasons who have been known to stir the pot.

‘There are a few former brides and grooms who are infamous for causing trouble, both on and off the show,’ the insider continued.

‘The last thing the producers want is for these fame-seekers to influence or manipulate the new participants.’
