Australian actor Roger Corser has been confirmed as the host of the Down Under version of Rob Lowe’s US hit game show The Floor.
Channel Nine announced that the quiz will be part of their 2025 programming which was unveiled at the network Upfronts event on Thursday in Sydney.
Like the American version, the Australian franchise of The Floor is produced by Eureka, an Aussie-founded production company headquartered in Los Angeles.
The US version of the The Floor has been a success for the Fox network and has succeeded in bringing 60-year-old one-time heartthrob Rob Lowe back into the limelight.
Corser, 51, is well known to TV fans having starred in Home and Away and Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.
In 2021 fans were devastated when they learned that Corser’s sexy Hugh Knight character in Doctor Doctor would not be returning for a 6th season.
He later hosted Channel 10’s ill-fated real-life mystery series The Traitors, which was dropped last year after two lacklustre seasons.
Nine also announced a number of other new shows bound to excite fans in their Upfronts on Thursday including an Aussie version of US reality hit The Golden Bachelor.

The dating show for older adults looking for romance will be hosted by former Channel Seven star, Sam Armytage, 48.
The outgoing Farmer Wants A Wife host shocked fans in August when she stepped down from Seven after 21 years, with rumours rife about her next step.
The Golden Bachelor is a spin-off of The Bachelor series, but differs in that the contestants of the reality dating show are people in their 50s and 60s.

Nine also announced a number of drama series in their Upfronts on Thursday including New Zealand made comedy drama Madam.
In the daring series 56-year-old Australian actor Rachael Griffiths plays a jilted mother who gets payback by opening a brothel after discovering her hubby has been cheating on her with a sex worker.
Fan favourite Rebecca Gibney is set to return to screens, meanwhile, in Nine’s new crime drama A Remarkable Place to Die.
Gibney, plays a detective who returns home and finds herself digging into family secrets as she investigates the deaths of her father and sister.
Nine is also set to launch a new restoration show set in France called Chateau DIY Australia about expats from Down Under giving abandoned homes a makeover in order to bring them back to life.
It comes after producers of The Floor announced they were looking for contestants in May. However the show will not be filmed in Australia.
Following a cost-saving trend of many recent productions, The Floor will create a local version of the show by using Australian expats living in Europe.

The casting call read, ‘CALLING AUSSIES LIVING OR PLANNING A HOLIDAY IN THE UK, IRELAND OR EUROPE. Do you want to take part of the world’s hottest new game show?
‘To apply, just answer a quick few questions and upload a photo. It’s that easy!’
Casting expats is an approach that aims to reduce costs by utilising existing production infrastructure.
The show is a Dutch format featuring 81 players standing on 81 individual squares.
Each contestant uses their general knowledge to try to acquire all the squares, with the player who succeeds in doing so over the course of the season wins the game.
The US version of The Floor began on Fox in 2024.
According to TV Black Box, Nine has had a 2025 launch in the works after Lego Masters failed to deliver ratings with Married at First Sight as a lead in.
‘Despite lead-in momentum from the biggest series on TV, Lego Masters has failed to capitalise on the ratings juggernaut and has been beaten by Channel 7’s Farmers Wants A Wife,’ the industry website reported.
