Channel 4 has axed two more programmes in the run-up to Christmas – the latest in a long series of cuts.
The station has issued a series of money-saving measures, with previous casualties including Steph’s Packed Lunch and SAS Who Dares Win.
Now it has been announced that The Lateish Show with comedian Mo Gilligan and The Hobby Man with Alex Brooker are the next in the firing line.
Mo’s BAFTA-award winning chat show began in 2019 and has featured interviews with Rio Ferdinand, Jack Whitehall, AJ Odudu and Joel Dommett.
Meanwhile The Last Leg’s Alex travelled the world in The Hobby Man, picking up new hobbies as he went.

The show’s axe comes despite celebrity appearances from the likes of Scarlett Moffatt, Joe Thomas and Joe Wilkinson.
Mo, who has hosted the Brit awards, took to Instagram to issue an emotional statement, revealing that the Christmas episode on December 20 will be the programme’s last.
In a lengthy message, he said: ‘I can’t even begin to describe how proud I am of this show. It genuinely changed my life and has created an industry-wide impact.
‘It’s won numerous awards and achieved even more nominations, but it’s the army of people behind the scenes that made it happen who are so important.
‘There are so many moments that I’ll always look back on with so much happiness.’
Fans were left gutted, as one said: ‘Made history and such an inspiration to so many!’
Another said: ‘Gutted! But look at what you achieved. Can’t wait to see what’s next for you.’
A third commented: ‘One of the greats of the UK, period.’

The axe comes amid a slew of cancellations with the broadcaster reportedly battling to cut costs amid financial challenges.
Controversial cult late-night show Naked Attraction, big-money celebrity flop Scared Of The Dark and groundbreaking medical documentary Rescue: Extreme Medics, based in Scotland, have all been canned.
Meanwhile Steph McGovern wiped away tears as she bid a farewell to her show Steph’s Packed Lunch during its final episode last Friday.
The Channel 4 daytime show was axed after three years amid a slew of cancellations with the broadcaster reportedly battling to cut costs amid financial challenges.
At the end of the show, Steph, 41, looked into the camera and said: ‘We’ve had a proper laugh doing this show.
‘Thank you for sharing your stories with us and being part of this dysfunctional family. Before we go I thought it would be nice to take a trip down memory lane.’
She then played a montage of some of the show’s best moments over its three years on the small screen.
It was confirmed in October that Channel 4 had decided not to renew the show for another series and would let it finish in December.
A statement said: ‘With audience habits changing quicker than ever, we have to make difficult decisions about which programmes to invest in to best drive our digital-first strategy and we have decided not to recommission Steph’s Packed Lunch when its existing production contract ends in December 2023.’
MailOnline has contacted Channel 4 for comment.
