Celebrity Traitors Star Cat Burns Proud of First Home After £40,000 TV Deal

Cat Burns celebrated buying her first home after securing a £40,000 fee for Celebrity Traitors.

The singer, 25, told fans it was one of her ‘big life achievements’ as she shared a glimpse of the luxurious property on Instagram.

However, her milestone was tinged with sadness as she revealed she was hit by grief that her late father and grandfather aren’t able to see it.

She wrote: ‘just moved into my first home that I bought and this is one of those moments people don’t prepare you for with grief, because all I want is my grandad and dad to have been able to see this’.

Cat announced her grandfather John Burn’s death last April, just weeks after coming out to him. The singer’s father tragically passed away on Christmas Day, five years ago.

The TV personality showed off the living room with terracotta walls, huge floor to ceiling windows and a guitar hanging on the wall.

Meanwhile, the dining area had pendant lighting which went into an open plan kitchen with a red and white checkerboard tiles.

Putting her feet up on the sofa, Cat told fans: ‘My house is basically finally done now guys. I spent my first night in it last night, if I wasn’t a homebody already, getting me out of the house now is gonna be a mission.’ (sic).

She added in another post: ‘Alexa add big life achievements to the grief list… there’s happy tears in there as well like I’m so beyond proud of myself, but just miss who’s not here to see this.’

Fans took to the comment section and told Cat: ‘They’re seeing all of your beautiful achievements my babe! We are all so proud of you’

‘Well done and they are so proud of you!’.

Cat made it to the final of the Traitors before she was rumbled by the Faithfuls.

Her fellow Traitor Alan Carr, however, managed to scoop the £87,500 prize pot for his chosen charity.
Rather than being paid individual wages, all of the celebrities were paid the same £40,000 fee to appear on the show, according to reports.

The career high and personal life achievement comes as Cat revealed she felt ‘so lost’ after splitting from her long-term girlfriend Jodie Rockett earlier this year.

Jodie and Cat began dating in 2021 with the pair often appearing on each others’ social media accounts.

She spoke to The Times about the difficult period. She said: ‘Having two massive losses is a real defining moment, your first heartbreak and your first death of a loved one who you were really close to.

‘Either you go back into the hole and you never really come out – and I know people who have never been able to get over those things – or you go through it and you come out the other end a completely stronger person than you were before.

‘I was intrigued to see if I was going to get through it because I felt so lost at the time.’

Speaking to the publication she wouldn’t reveal if she was now dating again but said she was ‘feeling hopeful’ about finding a partner again the future.
