Celebrity SAS Star Exits Early Due to Traumatic Injury

Patsy Kensit has broken her shoulder in three places reportedly while training to appear on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

The actress, 57, revealed to fans she’d suffered the painful injury last week, but remain tight-lipped on how it had happened.

But according to The Sun, the accident occurred after she slipped off a treadmill in the gym, during her training for the gruelling Channel 4 series.

As a result of the shocking injury, Patsy is reported to have had to exit the show early and fly back home to recuperate.

An insider told the publication: ‘Patsy had been running at pace on a treadmill while wearing a weighted backpack filled with books and weights as part of her intense training regime.

‘The added weight caused her to lose balance and fall backwards off the machine, bruising her arm and shoulder in the process.

‘She even flew out to Morocco, where the filming was taking place, but production soon spotted the injury and she was sent home.’

Last week, Patsy was seen sporting a sling while attending the Gala Night performance of Fawlty Towers: The Play in London.

She later took to her Instagram to explain the reason for the arm support, revealing that she’d broken her shoulder in three different places a month ago.

The soap star wrote: ‘I broke my shoulder in 3 places 3 weeks ago!!! I’m healing and a slight boogie with my besties I’m staying with this week will be a tonic for sure…. Have a great weekend’.

It comes after she abruptly shut down a question about Oasis at the Fawlty Towers gala night, after Good Morning Britain asked if she’d be attending one of the reunion shows.

Patsy was married to frontman Liam Gallagher, 52, from 1997 to 2000, and they share son Lennon, 25, together.

The couple split shortly after the singer had an affair with Lisa Moorish, who had given birth to their daughter Molly in 1998.

Patsy told GMB: ‘My 25-year-old son is gonna be there, and gonna have a lovely time, great for him to see all of that.’

However she added: ‘I’m happy for his dad, I think it’s a wonderful thing, but I won’t be attending.’

But when GMB attempted to probe her about how well Liam and his brother Noel would be able to keep things civil on the tour, she was quick to shut them down, saying: ‘I think I’ve said enough now about that… I send only love and light.’

Patsy’s injury and alleged SAS exit comes after it was reported that Dani Dyer will appear in the upcoming series.

The reality star shot to fame on Love Island back in 2018 and is now best known for her podcast with dad Danny Dyer and family life with now-husband Jarrod Bowen and her three children.

But speaking to The Sun last month, friends of the mother of three, 28, claimed she is keen to show fans a new side to her.

A source said: ‘Dani may be small in stature but she’s incredibly tough. Any woman who can juggle working while being a mum to three children under four is impressive — and that’s the woman Dani’s friends and family see on a daily basis.

‘Celebrity SAS is a really difficult show, both mentally and physically. It will push her to her limits but she can’t wait to get started.

‘If people thought her dad Danny was the hardman of the family, wait until they see what Dani’s capable of.’

While last week it was reported that Celebrity SAS will also see an appearance from former rugby player Ben Cohen.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, 46, is said to be looking forward to ‘throw himself into a new challenge’, following his shock split from his fiancée of 12 years Kristina Rihanoff.

A TV insider told The Sun: ‘Ben has had a difficult few months with his split from Kristina, having to sell their home and also having spiralling business debts.

‘Celeb SAS is not only a good pay day for him, but it’s a new challenge to throw himself into.

‘Ben is obviously a sportsman and a very physical, competitive player so if anyone can handle the SAS recruitment process, it’s him.’

Ben and Kristina famously fell victim to the Strictly curse while partnered together on the 2013 series, with him leaving his then-wife Abby for her.

However, they eventually split in March last year, with MailOnline was told that it was severe financial difficulties to blame for the break-up.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins pits stars against the challenges of the special forces’ official selection course, in an intense two-week programme.

Contestants are not voted off, rather they are culled by officials when they begin struggling or they voluntarily withdraw when the going gets a bit too tough.
