‘My incredible husband @tompitfieldphotography brought our babies out to see me before I board the ship.

‘He’s been holding the fort for a long time now- and doing the most wonderful job. We are so blessed to have you my love. What an incredibly special time we had.’

It comes after Catherine’s latest musical, a theatrical rendering of Bonnie & Clyde, has left ticket holders outraged after it suddenly announced its closure ‘with immediate effect’ just hours before their next show.

She was touring the UK while starring as leading gangster Blanche Barrow in Bonnie and Clyde.

The production, which was scheduled to tour the UK from April to October, was set to take to the stage in the Southend, Cliffs Pavilion last Tuesday.

But just four hours before the show, they issued a statement revealing that it had been cancelled, leaving fans ‘gutted’ and ‘disappointed’.

MailOnline can confirm the reason for the cancellation was due to ‘disappointing ticket sales’ which meant the show was ‘no longer financially viable’.

Taking to X, the production teams penned: ‘Bonnie & Clyde The Musical will conclude its UK & Ireland tour with immediate effect.

‘We would like to thank the extremely hard working and endlessly talented cast and company that have entertained thousands of audience members across the country with this production.

‘Ticket holders will be contacted by their point of purchase shortly with further information.’

The call to cancel the show devastated fans as they dubbed the decision ‘disgraceful’.

Theatre buffs confessed their anger on X as some tickets were bought as gifts for Christmas and many had travelled down to city for this evenings performance.

One penned: ‘A disgraceful decision to do this half way through a tour & just hours before a show in which people have travelled for. Just play out the rest of the shows, pay your talented cast and call it a loss then. Your producers shouldn’t be allowed to lead any show or tour again’

‘You used the word ‘conclude’ when you should be using ‘cancelled’. A disgraceful decision just a few hours before a run of shows in Southend which people have already travelled to. Well done to your producers for ruining a great show with a cult following that’ll now be lost.’

‘Gutted we had tickets for Blackpool! A Christmas present too!’

‘Aw sad news, was due to see it in September and was really looking forward to seeing the show’

‘Just had an email about this – really disappointed as we were due to see this tomorrow at Cliffs Pavillion. So sad that it has been cancelled half way through the tour!’

‘Wow, shocked. Glad I caught it early in Wolverhampton but had been planning to go again. It is massively underrated.’

Representatives for the musical told MailOnline: ‘Bonnie & Clyde The Musical will conclude its UK & Ireland tour with immediate effect.
