Love Island: All Stars is well and truly underway. 

But once again there is one element of the show that has left viewers cringing and reaching for the remote to turn down the volume – the loud snogs.  

Following the success of last year’s series, the ITV show returned for its second series in South Africa, with the first episode airing on January 13.

However, viewers have already witnessed several stars share a cheeky loud smooch in the first week of getting to know each other. 

During Wednesday evening’s episode, viewers were left in shock as Ronnie Vint snogged Kaz Crossley in the Secret Garden just minutes after kissing Elma Pazar.

Here MailOnline takes a look back at some of the show’s most gross snogs over the years. 

1. Zara McDermott and Adam Collard 

Love Island fans were repulsed when they watched Adam Collard, 29, snog Zara McDermott, 28, in 2018. 

The muscular hunk had waited five days to lock lips with the beauty as he moved onto his third summer soulmate in just two weeks. 

Social media was awash with comments slamming Adam’s kissing technique as he ‘rammed’ his tongue into her mouth. 

During the sloppy kiss Zara left her mouth closed as she had previously told fellow islander Ellie Brown that there would be no tongue action. 

But fans were left feeling sick when they watched the kiss play out on the screen and called out producers for zooming into Adam’s tongue. 

One fan wrote at the time: ‘Zara: i’m gonna kiss Adam but strictly NO TONGUE. Adam: rams tongue down her throat #loveisland.’

While another remarked: ‘They really didn’t need to zoom into Adam’s tongue like that #loveisland.’ 

2. Ronnie Vint and Jess White 

Ronnie Vint, 28, and Jess White, 25, both appeared on Love Island last year and the pair shared a very steamy kiss on the terrace. 

During June all of the islanders played a game of truth or dare which got steamy very quickly. 

During the game, Samantha Kenny, 27, was then dared to kiss the islander who she had an instant connection with. 

The star wasted no time and leaned in for a sweet smooch with Ronnie leaving the other islanders in shock. 

However, when it was Ronnie’s turn, he was dared to kiss the two Islanders that he thought had the best bodies and he chose Jess and Harriett, leaving Samantha less than impressed. 

The kiss set off a spark between himself and Jess as they soon headed up to the terrace for a chat and shared a steamy snog in secret. 

3. Joey Essex and Samantha Kenny

In June last year Love Island viewers took to social media to confess their shock over contestants sharing several steamy snogs in the villa on day two. 

And Islanders Joey Essex, 33, and Samantha certainly didn’t hold back for the cameras. 

The pair shared a steamy kiss around the firepit, however, viewers at home were less than impressed as they complained that the show’s mic’s were too loud. 

One fan moaned: ‘How many times do we have to ask to turn their mics down when they kiss.’; 

‘WHY DO JOEY AND SAMANTHA KISS LIKE THAT.’; 

‘Joey cannot kiss.’;

‘That kiss was horrendous.’;

‘So many kisses already it’s not even been 10 mins.’;

‘Why is everyone kissing with so much passion and it’s only like night two.. can they all calm down.’

4. Anna Vakili and Ovie Soko 

Love Island fans complained of feeling sick in 2019 after Anna Vakili, 34, and Ovie Soko, 33, shared a sloppy kiss. 

Viewers saw the pair sharing a steamy snog in the snug but many were left reaching for the remote as they couldn’t stand the gross slurping noises coming from the screen. 

One fan wrote on social media: ‘Actually just told Anna and Ovie to stop kissing (out loud), not because of Jordan, but because of the DAMN NOISE THEY MAKE.’ 

‘Wish they’d mute the kissing sounds.’; ‘The lipsing noise in HD is so ugly btw.’ 

However, not everyone was disgusted as many viewers were delighted to see the pharmacist and the basketball star together. 

One fan wrote: ‘Lmao this sloppy kiss with Ovie….honestly I understand. I get it Anna. Slurp away.’ 

5. Scott Van Der Sluis and Abi Moores 

Abi Moores and Scott Van Der Sluis appeared on the 2023 Love Island series. 

Initially, Abi, 25, was in a messy love triangle with Mitchel Taylor and Ella B, however, she swiftly moved on from Mitchel after days of back and fourth and set her sights on Scott. 

After choosing Scott in the recoupling, the pair headed up to the terrace for some alone time. 

Abi said at the time: ‘I’m happy now anyway. I think if we’d carried on talking and he was getting to know Ella, I think this would’ve happened anyway – I don’t think it would have been any different.’

Scott said: ‘We had a good cuddle in bed last night,’ before Abi cheekily added: ‘More tonight!’ 

Speaking about asking Abi up to the terrace, Scott said: ‘I had to do this. I couldn’t just kiss you in bed for the first time so it had to be this. Get you up to the terrace, this is where things are done!’ 

The couple then shared their first passionate kiss before cosying up in bed together on the same night. 

6. Tom Clare and Zara Lackenby-Brown

In 2023 Tom Clare, 25, and Zara Lackeby-Brown, 27, locked lips on Love Island but viewers at home were less than pleased. 

The pair shared their first kiss after Zara chose to couple up with Tom during a recoupling ceremony. 

But fans at home complained that their snog was overly long and that the mic sounds were turned up too high. 

One viewer said: ‘Turn off the mic when they’re kissing I BEG UUU’. 

While another echoed: ‘it’s like the producers increase the mic volume when they see a couple about to lips…like im eating #LoveIsland’. 

A third agreed, writing: ‘Who gave the sound engineer the permission to bring back the kissing sounds #loveisland’

Even host Maya Jama commented on the kiss on Aftersun, saying that the noises were making her feel ill. 

7. Casey O’Gorman and Rosie Seabrook 

Casey O’Gorman, 27, and Rosie Seabrook, 26, appeared in the 2023 series of Love Island. 

During the episode newcomer Keanan Brand, 24, admitted to fancying Rosie to Casey, before she and Casey shared a kiss. 

As Keanan and Casey caught up, Keanan admitted: ‘I’ve come to let you know that obviously it’s quite clear I do fancy Rosie, I just wanted to let you know. I just thought I’d tell you before she tells you.’

After their conversation Casey headed to the snug where he was joined by Rosie, opening his arms he said: ‘Come here, come and avoid the drama.’ 

‘I literally came in tonight and was like I can’t wait to chill with Rosie, take her to the terrace, get a little kiss and then I hear Keanan fancies you.’

Rosie said: ‘Let’s just close that for now?’ and Casey questioned: ‘For now?’ 

Rosie and Casey continued to talk in private and shared a steamy snog, despite the fact Keanan previously admitted his feelings for Rosie.
