Christine McGuinness shows off her incredible figure in a sheer co-ord set in racy snaps from Ibiza after quitting Celebs Go Dating at the last minute

Christine McGuinness has made a quick return to social media after announcing she has quit the upcoming series of Celebs Go Dating.

The ex-wife of Paddy McGuinness, 37, was part of the star-studded line-up for the fourteenth series of the E4 hit alongside celebrities like Kerry Katona.

Christine had already flown to Ibiza to start filming but took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal she had quit the show because it was ‘too soon’ after her divorce from her ex-husband Paddy.

However, she brushed off her U-turn decision on Friday as she took to Instagram to share a stunning video of herself lounging by the pool in Ibiza.

In the clip, Christine showed off her incredible figure in a rainbow knitted co-ord set, made up of a sheer crop top and matching trousers.

She wore her vibrant ensemble over a skimpy pink bikini and struck a series of sultry poses for the camera.

She accessorised with an array of beaded necklaces and added to her height with a pair of wedged sandals.

Christine poignantly captioned the post: ‘Your ability to trust when you can’t see the outcome is what makes you unstoppable. The Universe loves that energy.’

Christine announced she was quitting Celebs Go Dating in a sudden statement on Thursday, hinting at a personal revelation during production.

Pals close to the mother-of-three believe she may have left the programme over ‘fears’ of upsetting ex-husband Paddy, 51, by discussing their recent divorce on TV.

According to insiders, the model, who split from the former Top Gear host in 2022, had been ‘enjoying’ filming and going on dates after flying to the White Isle this week.

On Wednesday, she got stuck in at the show’s Ibiza pool party, which was attended by Celebs Go Dating alumni and surprise guests Wayne Lineker and Dean Gaffney.

The reality star, who was set to date both men and women on the show, had been revealing more about her ‘type’, explaining that she likes ‘feminine women with an edge’ at the show’s ‘mixer’, where celebrities met the contestants for the first time.

However, Christine then suddenly quit the series, with insiders saying she had become anxious over her private life, including feelings surrounding her divorce, being made public.

A source said: ‘Christine was really up for this show and discovering more about herself with the help of the relationship experts.

‘She settled in really well in Ibiza and treated it like a bit of a holiday.

‘Hours before she pulled out of the series, she was having so much fun at one of the show’s pool parties, chatting away to former contestants Wayne and Dean.

‘She had even struck up a flirtatious relationship with one of the contestants, who she flew to Ibiza as part of the dating series, and was finally opening up about her feelings towards women.

‘But all of a sudden her mood changed and she began to have real doubts over her appearance, especially with how she may be upsetting Paddy by discussing their divorce on a TV show.

‘It’s a real shame but she just wasn’t in the right frame of mind to take part and it was best for all concerned for her to leave the process.’

In her statement, she confirmed: ‘I joined Celebs Go Dating with great intentions but have realised that dating on a public platform and the attention is brings is just too soon for me.’

Christine also said that she may appear in the future, adding: ‘They’ve said the door is always open for me which I’m so grateful but for now I’m returning home to my family.’

Christine was married to TV presenter Paddy for 11 years before they split for good in 2022.

After they stayed living together for the sake of their three children, twins Leo and Penelope, and daughter Felicity, who have all been diagnosed with autism, the ex-couple finalised their divorce out of court last summer.

Christine has revealed how ‘difficult’ the breakup had been for her, as the pair’s marital home, a Cheshire mansion worth £6.5million, was put on the market.

She said: ‘I’ve never spoken about the reasons for our divorce, and I don’t know if I ever will.

‘It was a difficult time. It wasn’t something that, you know, I just decided to do overnight, or that we chose to do.

‘We tried, and, yeah, there just, unfortunately, there was no repairing it, you know?’

And it appears that she’s keen to prove that she has well and truly moved on from the presenter with an appearance on the huge dating show.

The TV personality has admitted that she hasn’t ‘dated much before’ so this will be a new experience for her.

She said: ‘I’m really excited to be joining the agency, I’m going to have a summer of fun! Who knows what might happen? I’ve not really dated much before, so I feel like I’m doing a crash course!

‘I’m looking forward to getting to know the other celebs and I’m especially looking forward to the coaching side of things with the agents. I think that’s going to be good for me.’

Christine will be joined by the likes of Kerry Katona, 44, Love Island star Olivia Hawkins, 29, S Club 7 singer Jon Lee, 43, and Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, 59, on Celebs Go Dating.

The cast of singletons jetted to the White Isle on Monday to start filming with relationship experts Paul C. Brunson and Anna Williamson, as comedian Rob Beckett returns as the show’s narrator.

A TV source told The Sun: ‘Show bosses are delighted to have snapped up Christine, they think she’ll be great on-screen and appeal to lots of other women in their thirties dating after getting a divorce.

‘Fans will see a new side to Christine too as she opens up about her personal life and films coaching sessions with the show’s dating experts.

‘Christine has been open on social media about how she found spirituality and healing in Ibiza, so she’s thrilled to be working over there.’

Cherry Healey’s shock feud with her best friend revealed: BBC presenter’s joint project turned sour after the TV star ‘backed out over other commitments’

BBC presenter Cherry Healey has said her belief in the power of ‘manifestation’ has enabled her to attract her dream life, including her job and ‘the specific man’ she wanted.

Yet the TV star, 44, who competed in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, probably wasn’t intending on manifesting a bitter fall-out with her best friend over a joint book deal.

I hear that Healey’s decision to pull out of a lucrative project has left her co-author, Alexis Lee, fuming and struggling financially.

The pair have previously run workshops together called Manifest That Sh** and were approached by a publisher to write a book about it.

Manifestation refers to the process of bringing desires or goals into reality through focused thoughts, beliefs, and actions.

The topics that were due to feature in the book included journaling, intention setting, alignment and finding stillness.

Sadly, according to Lee, the work will never see the light of day.

‘There was a lot of excitement about the book and a bidding war among the publishers and a brilliant advance and we were incredibly happy,’ says the London-born author.

‘Since the book deal in 2022, and after writing at least 70/80 per cent of the book, my co-author Cherry Healey pulled out. It coincided with her TV work increasing at the time, so I can only assume this was the real reason.’

She alleges that Cherry, who is Paddy McGuinness’s co-presenter on Inside the Factory, made damaging comments about her personality including that she was ‘difficult’ and ‘intimidating’ to work with.

‘When she told me she wanted out, the book was almost finished,’ she claims online. ‘I explained I couldn’t afford to pull out as I was banking on the income, and I wouldn’t be able to pay back the advance as well as all the work we’d both put into the project.

‘Initially, she said she’d pay the whole advance back herself since it was her decision, but she later retracted this. It’s taken me a long time to recover emotionally, and I’ve still not recovered financially.’

The divorced mother-of-two who runs the Style Me Sunday blog, says the loss of their friendship has ‘rocked her world’.

She says: ‘It’s the betrayal and lack of care from someone who I viewed as one of my closest friends, that hurts most.

Paddy McGuinness believes he should have received a pay out from the BBC when Top Gear was canned following his co-star Freddie Flintoff’s terrifying crash

Paddy McGuinness believed he should have received a pay out from the BBC when Top Gear was canned following his co-star Freddie Flintoff’s terrifying crash, MailOnline can reveal.

The television presenter, who joined the show in 2019, complained to friends that he believed that like Flintoff – who was seriously injured from the incident – he should have been given cash because the programme was canned and he lost an income.

Paddy, 51, spent three years working alongside Freddie and Chris Harris when in 2022 the former England cricket star was left with horrific injuries after the open-top car he was testing flipped over and slipped along the track at the Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey.

The vehicle had no airbags and the crash left Freddie with severe facial injuries and several broken ribs. The BBC decided to axe the show and Freddie reportedly got a seven-figure pay out.

One source familiar with the former Take Me Out host Paddy’s bewilderment told MailOnline: ‘Paddy was moaning because he had lost his job, the show went so really it was a case of him being made redundant.

‘It was a big income for him and suddenly it was gone after Freddie’s accident.

‘He couldn’t understand why he didn’t get a pay out, I guess you can see his point. Freddie did get one but he was so badly injured.

    ‘His life changed, he didn’t leave the house for months and months and while it was sad for Paddy that his job had gone, he did go on to find other work,;

BBC insiders have speculated that Paddy’s upset at not getting a pay out may have been the reason why the Corporation created a new show, Paddy and Chris: Road Tripping alongside Chris Harris.

‘The talk at the Beeb is that was done to appease him,’ said one.

During this Disney+ documentary called Flintoff, which takes an intimate and unprecedented look into his life, Freddie revealed that he has barely spoken to Paddy since the crash – saying it is ‘triggering.’

He said: ‘We’ve been in contact,’ he said. ‘When I saw Chris we hugged each other, he got upset and I got a little bit upset.

‘I feel bad I haven’t been more in contact with him and Paddy. I think there were some comments that I’ve not spoken with Paddy for a while and part of it is for myself a little bit.

‘I hate the word triggering… but I’m worried about that. It’s also something that has stopped because of what’s happened to me. Their careers have been halted as well.

‘So I feel bad for them and also it’s like what happened gets dragged up enough in my own head without adding to that (by seeing them).’

Paddy, who last year divorced from wife Christine, was handed the role at Top Gear with thanks to some help from a long-term cheer leader of his, Sumi Cannock, who he worked with at ITV.

She landed at job as the creative director of BBC Studios, the organisation’s commercial arm and shortly afterwards poached Paddy and gave him Top Gear as well as Question of Sport.

Sumi is also understood to have been behind Paddy and Chris: Road Tripping.

A representative for Paddy has been contacted.

It comes after Freddie revealed the first image of the Top Gear crash that almost killed him – ahead of the release of a new documentary looking back at his life.

The cricketing superstar turned television presenter, 47, was left with horrific injuries after the car he was testing on the BBC motoring show flipped over at the Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey over two years ago.

Freddie retreated from public life for months as he recovered from severe facial injuries and broken ribs – but until now, footage of the crash that almost claimed his life has never surfaced.

But a trailer for Flintoff, Disney+’s new unprecedented documentary on the star has been released this morning – and gives viewers a glimpse of the horrifying scene.

Flintoff was driving a Morgan Super 3 three-wheeled sports car when it overturned and crashed off of the Top Gear test track on December 13 2022 during filming .

The car is an open-topped motor capable of hitting 130mph – and the cricketer wasn’t wearing a helmet when the car flipped over.

Despite the car being equipped with roll bars designed to protect occupants in the event of turning over, Flintoff suffered egregious facial injuries. He still bears the scars to this day.

‘I remember everything about it,’ Freddie says in a voiceover in the trailer, adding: ‘It’s so vivid.’

As he speaks, the video cuts to a still image of TV crews in high-visibility jackets gathered around the blue Morgan sports car.

Flintoff says in the trailer that he wanted to film the documentary in order to give his side of the story after spending months out of the public eye, prompting concerns about his welfare.

‘I’ve lived under radar for seven months,’ Freddie says in the video. ‘One of the real frustrations was the speculation, that’s why I’m doing this now. What actually happened.’

Following the terrifying ordeal, Flintoff quit Top Gear and reportedly received a £9million settlement from the BBC of the crash, paid for by the broadcaster’s commercial arm.

Freddie opens up about his injuries in the trailer and says, ‘I’m not saying embracing them, but I’m not trying to hide my scars.’

He goes on, ‘It’s almost like a reset, I’m trying to find out what I am now. I’ve always seemed to be able to flick a switch, I’ve got to find that switch again.’

Alongside motoring journalist Chris Harris and comedian Paddy, Flintoff had fronted Top Gear since 2019, guiding the show back to success following a period of turmoil after its star presenters were sacked and quit in 2015.

The trio had been praised for improving the quality of the show after a tumultuous period that came with the departure of Jeremy Clarkson, sacked for punching a producer, and his co-stars James May and Richard Hammond.

However, co-star Chris Harris had previously raised concerns over the safety of some of the stunts on the show, which had gradually moved away from providing consumer advice on cars in favour of motoring-based entertainment.

Speaking to podcaster Joe Rogan, Harris said he had warned the BBC three months before the accident that there could be a ‘serious injury’ or ‘fatality’.

He said: ‘What was never spoken about was that three months before the accident, I’d gone to the BBC and said, ‘Unless you change something, someone’s going to die on this show’.

‘So I went to them, I went to the BBC and I told them of my concerns from what I’d seen – as the most experienced driver on the show by a mile.’

While McGuinness and Flintoff were ‘brilliant entertainers’, he said they ‘didn’t have the experience I had in cars’.

She added height with sparkly silver open-toe heels and accessorised with beaded bracelets and a silver watch.

The pair were joined by co-stars Louis Russell, Jon Lee, and Olivia Hawkins as filming got underway.

Christine and Kerry are among the star-studded lineup for this year’s Celebs Go Dating.

The upcoming series, which will air later this year, will follow a group of single stars as they navigate the dating world, supported by experts Anna Williamson, Paul Brunson as well as Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn and Tom Read Wilson.

Filming for the popular show has now began, with the series hitting screens later this year.

And this year should be just as drama-filled as ever, as a slew of new single stars return for the show’s 14th series, with Christine as the programme’s star signing following her split from Paddy.

The lineup includes a range of famous faces including reality stars and singers, with a big change in store for the contestants as they’ll be jetting off to Ibiza.

Christine’s journey on the show will no doubt have viewers invested after her divorce from ex-husband Paddy McGuinness.

The pair split in 2022 after 11 years of marriage but remained living together for the sake of their three children.

However, it appears that she’s keen to prove that she has well and truly moved on from the presenter with an appearance on the huge dating show.

Another TV source told The Sun: ‘Show bosses are delighted to have snapped up Christine, they think she’ll be great on-screen and appeal to lots of other women in their thirties dating after getting a divorce.

‘Fans will see a new side to Christine too as she opens up about her personal life and films coaching sessions with the show’s dating experts.

‘Christine has been open on social media about how she found spirituality and healing in Ibiza, so she’s thrilled to be working over there.’

Joining Christine will be S Club star Jon, who is hoping to find the one on the dating show.

The singer and actor, 42, was part of the 90s pop band, which disbanded back in 2003 before reuniting in March 2023.

Jon said: ‘I’m absolutely rubbish at dating. My dating life is very bleak. So, I’m happy to put my trust into the agent’s professional hands. Fingers crossed we have a good time!’

And it’s not the first time the star has tried his luck on a dating show, after he appeared on a Dinner Date’s Celebrity Special back in 2018.

On the show, he confessed: ‘Dating in S Club didn’t really happen. I met people here and there, but you can’t just say “hi, I’m Jon, by the way I’m off for six months.”‘

He also hinted at what he was looking for as he said: ‘Humour is a massive, massive thing for me.

‘You can have a guy stand there with a six pack and pecs or a guy who looks like an average Joe Bloggs, but if he’s funny, I’d pick him every single time.’

Also part of the lineup is Love Island star Olivia, who appeared on the All Stars version of the series earlier this year.

The reality star, 29, spent the series coupled up with Marcel Somerville before they parted ways shortly after filming ended.

She also stirred drama when she exposed Grace Jackson’s alleged messages saying she wanted to win, causing a bitter row on the show.

The former ring girl first shot to fame on the ITV reality show as one of the original Islanders on the 2023 winter series.

Olivia faced backlash from viewers and was labelled a ‘schemer’ during her series for clashing with her co-stars and dividing audiences with her upfront opinions.

Speaking of joining Celebs Go Dating, Olivia said: ‘I’m excited to be joining the agency. I’ve been a fan of the show for a long time. It will be nice for the public to see a more vulnerable, open side to me.’

Kerry is also joining the show for a second time, six years on from her first appearance after taking part back in Celebs Go Dating back in 2019.

She said: ‘I’m so excited to be back at the agency. At the moment, I am just learning who I am. I always seem to change my whole persona for whoever I am with for their needs instead of prioritising my own.

‘I can’t wait to see Anna and Paul again and get to meet Dr Tara, and see what they have in store for me.’

Kerry is freshly single after splitting from her ex-fiancé Ryan Mahoney last year, and is now ready to find love again.

The former Atomic Kitten star confirmed she and Ryan, 36, had split up last November and he moved out of the house they shared after six years together.

But time heals all wounds and now Kerry believes the breakup has done her the world of good.

The media personality recently returned from a trip to Thailand where she experienced a ‘real spiritual awakening’.

Writing in her New magazine column, she wrote: ‘Splitting up with Ryan was the best thing to happen to me.

‘I’m over that chapter of my life and when I think about him there is nothing romantic there any more.’

The final name on the lineup is Too Hot To Handle star Louis – a model who also plays semi-pro football and dabbles in professional boxing.

The show debuted in April 2020, which puts a unique twist on the reality dating genre, following a group of singles looking for love… but they’re not allowed any sexual contact whatsoever.

On the show, he was one of the most memorable personalities and biggest rule breakers.

‘His hobbies include boxing, football…and making a girl fall in love for the night. As someone who spent a lot of their school years in detention, Louis has never been one to follow rules.

‘He’s likely to do his best to steal the girls from Lana’s gaze and we bet this dapper sweet talker won’t have to try too hard,’ his description for Too Hot To Handle adds.

Christine McGuinness reveals the devastating true toll of her divorce from Paddy, how she really feels about selling their £6.5m family home – and their co-parenting plans: RICHARD EDEN

She was 33 when her memoir, A Beautiful Nightmare, came out. But while that might have seemed premature for others, it felt entirely fitting for Christine McGuinness.

Now 37, the beauty queen turned reality television star is contending with another challenge – the impending loss of her seven-bedroom marital home, which is finally on the market following her divorce last year from comedian and TV host Paddy McGuinness, 51.

Christine, who was a cast member on The Real Housewives of Cheshire, tells me exclusively: ‘I’m devastated about the sale. We don’t know how long it’s going to take.’

Although she still shares the house with her former husband, from whom she split in 2022, she says it feels impossible for her to move out.

‘I can’t. It’s not an option for me. We both own the house,’ explains Christine. She reveals that the divorce cost her £300,000, which she says she had to pay ‘out of my own money, that I didn’t even have. I’m still paying for it.’

The house is also home to all three of the couple’s children – twins Leo and Penelope, 11, and Felicity, 8 – who have been diagnosed with autism, as was Christine herself in 2021.

She was recently named Media Champion of the Year for her autism and ADHD advocacy at the British Diversity Awards and says the condition has become a motivating force.

‘I think being a closed book for so long and being undiagnosed, masking it, trying to fit in and not understanding why I wasn’t like other people all of those years and years, to then finally understanding myself and have three little children experiencing the same thing. That’s why I’m happy to be doing what I’m doing.’

While Christine hopes ‘a good offer’ will soon be made on the family home, which is on the market for £6.5million, she says she is looking forward to the next chapter of her life, adding: ‘I want to continue being myself and be on my own as a single divorced mum. It just feels like I’m finally falling into a place that I’m supposed to be in.’

It comes after the bombshell revealed she barely knew anyone at her wedding because she doesn’t have friends.

The TV personality tied the knot with comedian Paddy, 51, in June 2011 in a large ceremony which saw more than 200 guests attend.

However, Christine only invited around 15 family members to the festivities and didn’t know anyone else who was in attendance.

Speaking on The Shizzio Show podcast, Christine explained how her autism makes socialising difficult and said she prefers to have a small group of people close to her.

Autism refers to a broad range of conditions characterised by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication.

‘The wedding was massive, I didn’t really know anybody there, but it was huge,’ she said of her nuptials to her now-ex-husband Paddy.

‘I had no more than 15 people from my family that I knew and I think there was over 200 guests in total. But it was an incredible day, it was amazing!’

Discussing her struggles with socialising, Christine said her only friend is Blue singer Duncan James, who she is often seen out with, but insisted her close-knit circle is by choice.

In the previous Instagram story, Christine captured her trainers shoes and added a question box captioning: 'Todays filming???', hinting she is working on a new venture

‘Now, I have no friends other than Duncan. None at all, people set up an OnlyFans, I’ll set up an OnlyFriends,’ she joked.

‘But it’s by choice, I’ve got lots of industry friends and that works for me, it works really well because I haven’t got the time. I can’t keep in touch, I try to but I can’t so then I feel like a s**t friend.

‘So industry friends, you work together and you’re in your bubble – like The Games and Hunted – you all know each other, there’s a WhatsApp group for the first couple of weeks and then it fizzles out, and there’s no pressure to keep in touch.

‘But then you see each other at events now and again, and for me, that’s much more suitable for me to keep up with.’

‘I’m not a social butterfly for the sake of it,’ she added.

Christine said she is very close to her children – twins Leo and Penelope, 11, and Felicity, eight – her mother Joanne and her other family members.

She confessed she also has problems with trusting new people because she has been ‘burnt’ in the past, realising that not everyone has good intentions.

Paddy McGuinness has announced his latest solo project amid his ‘expensive’ divorce from wife Christie.

The comedian, 51, is set to take part in a video series across social media platforms called Training Days.

During a talk at advertising week, Paddy revealed: ‘I think health and fitness and that world is like a trillion-dollar industry. Everyone wants a quick fix.

‘Everyone wants to go, “why does that person look like that? If I do that, will I look like that?” Well, that isn’t the case everyone’s looking for that, certain protein shake, that doesn’t work either.

‘There’s a series called Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, with is Jerry Seinfeld. Training Days is essentially like that, but in gyms. Not necessarily a weights gym. It can be anywhere as long as it’s involving some kind of exercise, and it’s coming at it from a non-expert point of view.’

Paddy added: ‘I will have chat with someone interesting, whether it’s a celebrity or someone from the industry. But it’s just about putting it out there for people and saying look this is what they do.

‘So they know where their home is and where their bedrooms are and all their things, so it doesn’t matter what day of the week it is. They come home from school and they know where they are going.’

Elsewhere in the interview, Christine opened up about the ‘unforgivable’ reason she split from her former husband.

She revealed that it was a ‘difficult time’ for her to decide to divorce TV presenter Paddy, 51, but there was ‘no repairing’ the relationship.

She said: ‘I’ve never spoken about the reasons for our divorce, and I don’t know if I ever will.

‘It was a difficult time. It wasn’t something that, you know, I just decided to do overnight, or that we chose to do.

‘We tried, and, yeah, there just, unfortunately, there was no repairing it, you know?

‘I’ll always, always love him as the father of the children, and I still live at home with him, which says a lot.

‘We separated three years ago, and we are completely divorced, and we live in separate parts of the house, but we share a family home.’

Christine went onto reveal that Paddy has started dating again and they have one strict rule at the £6m mansion they share.

She continued: ‘I feel like it’s ok for me to date, I want to have a relationship again one day.’

Asked about Paddy, Christine replied: ‘He’s dated, he’s dating, and he’s always been open and honest.’

But she revealed they do have a rule, he’s not allowed to bring women back to their family home.

MailOnline have contacted representatives of Christine and Celebs Go Dating for comment.

Filming for the popular show is set to begin in May, with the series hitting screens later this year.

It comes as her ex-husband Paddy put their marital home on the market for £6.5million and Christine is furious as she believes he has inflated the price so it doesn’t sell.

Her friends now fear that she will have to continue living with the former Top Gear host for ‘the foreseeable future’ because buyers will be put off by the cost of it – which is a staggering £4.4million more than what they paid for it in 2020.

MailOnline can also reveal that relations between Paddy and Christine are at ‘an all-time low’ as she desperately hopes for a fresh start after telling him in recent weeks that she could no longer live with him following their divorce which was finalised last year.

One source close to the warring couple says that Paddy has even told his estranged wife – the mother of his three children Felicity, eight, and 11-year-old twins Leo and Penelope – not to discuss their situation with anyone.

‘It is so overpriced, Paddy doesn’t want to sell which seems like another tactic by him.’

‘It’s insane that Paddy would put the house on the market for that much, they only bought it five years ago and house prices have hardly gone up at all since then,’ said an insider familiar with McGuinnesses.

‘The house is on for two thirds more than what they paid for it, it will never sell. It all feels a bit like Paddy wanting to control the situation and keep Christine living in the house with him for longer.’

‘Christine made it clear that she can’t live with him anymore but now it looks like she will have to for a long time yet.’

Friends of Christine fear for her happiness now after the couple announced their split in the summer of 2023 when she found a new lease of life taking part in the ITV reality show The Games back in 2022.

They have noticed how she has become increasingly sad as she continued to keep her home happy for the sake of her children, all of whom have autism.

One pal said: ‘It feels like Christine has been living through a nightmare and things have become bad between them.’

‘Paddy doesn’t like Christine discussing their business with anyone. She hoped that selling the house might put an end to this but she won’t be celebrating until they have a sale in the pipeline, and even then she’ll be anxious that it all goes through and won’t properly celebrate until it’s sold.’

Multi-millionaire Paddy McGuinness leaves onlookers baffled as he drives a humble Ford van around Cheshire

Multi-millionaire Paddy McGuinness proved his down to earth nature as he was spotted driving his humble Ford van around Cheshire on Monday.

The comedian, 51, looked in high spirits, flashing a smile as he waved to onlookers on his daily ride.

Paddy, whose character drove a Ford Transit camper van in his hit shows Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere, sported a beige cap for the sunny outing as he kept it low-key riding through Alderley Edge, before nipping for a coffee at a local cafe.

Paddy’s sighting comes after he revealed what traits makes him ‘putty in a woman’s hands’ as he discussed what he looks for in a partner.

The TV host split from his wife Christine in 2021 after just over a decade of marriage and the former couple have now put their sprawling seven-bedroom marital home on the market.

Joining Jessie Ware and her mother Lennie on their Table Manners podcast, Paddy opened up about his past relationships and they sat down for lunch.

While the singer and songwriter made him a chicken dinner, Paddy recalled: ‘Growing up it was just me and my mum and I would see my dad on weekends.

‘She gave up her life for me and I didn’t realise until I was older, after she died. I wish I could have spoiled her rotten. My mum would make pies, big Sunday dinners.

‘I am a real mummy’s boy and she would do all my dinners and washing. Weirdly, every partner I’ve had, from right way back when, we never did any cooking or anything like that.’

‘The mad thing about Take Me Out is that when I’m out and about kids still ask me about it because it’s still repeated,’ Paddy replied.

‘I think the way things are in the world now, we live in a strange time where things get taken out of context. If you did it now, there would be too many people saying, “you can’t say that”.’

‘We are one of the most successful dating shows. We’ve had about six marriages.’

Elsewhere, Paddy is selling the marital home he shares with ex-wife Christine for £6.5million, MailOnline can reveal.

The TV presenter put the sprawling seven-bedroom mansion on the market amid claims from sources close to Christine she is ‘miserable’ and ‘desperate to sell up’ rather than continuing to cohabit the house with Paddy and their three children.

Model Christine previously feared moving house would bring unwanted upheaval to the lives of Felicity, eight, and 11-year-old twins Leo and Penelope, as well as herself.

But the dynamic in their relationship has clearly changed in recent months sparking Paddy, who kept the Cheshire property as part of his divorce settlement finalised in October last year, to put the house up for sale.

The former Top Gear host is hoping to make a £4.4million profit after purchasing the home for £2.1million back in 2020.

He and Christine spent months renovating the property before moving in to cater for the needs of their young family.

A source said: ‘Paddy and Christine were content with living together in the house for the sake of their children.

‘They were getting on fine and didn’t feel the need to disrupt their kids’ lives.

‘But in recent months Christine has grown increasingly unhappy which has led to a change to heart.

‘They felt it was best for a new start, for all concerned, which triggered Paddy’s decision to sell up.’

The mansion features its own gym, a huge kids playroom containing soft play equipment, his and hers dressing rooms, an orangery and a kitchen diner.

Its seven bedrooms have six en suite bathrooms and the house has been described by estate agents handling the sale as ‘tailor made for hosting family and friends’.

In an interview with the Daily Mail’s Weekend Magazine earlier this month, Paddy discussed his living situation with Christine and intimated the pair would continue staying under the same roof.

He said: ‘Yeah, still the same. It doesn’t feel tricky. I think it would if you lived in a toxic household – God forbid.’

Asked how their unique living arrangement works, Paddy added: ‘If I’m at home with the kids it’s great. If I’m working and Christine is at home with the kids, that’s great.

‘If we are there together, that’s fine. As long as my children are happy, that’s all that matters to me.’

Despite cohabiting, both Paddy and Christine have started dating again, according to the latter, but neither has gone public with a serious relationship.

Recently Paddy revealed his biggest fears when it comes to dating as he navigates being single for the first time in 16 years.

He told The Mirror: ‘This is the first time I have been single in about 16 years and it’s a bit of a mad time for me because the whole dating world has changed.’

He said: ‘Everyone who makes me food now I am instantly putty in their hands. I’m like, “this is amazing, this is the best!”

The presenter continued: ‘I think it’s tricky because if I date someone the same age as me, we probably have more baggage than Heathrow between us.’

‘And if I date someone younger, we’ve got nothing in common. By younger I mean 30 years old which really gets me down because when I was a kid, a 30-year-old was decrepit.’

The former Take Me Out host also jokingly quipped that when it comes to sex, younger women ‘know what they want and they don’t mind telling you’.

Christine has also spoken out about her relationship status and recently opened up on how she successfully co-parents with Paddy.

The model, 36, sat down with OK! Magazine in December and lifted the lid on what is going on in her romantic life as she set the record straight on her relationship status.

Christine admitted: ‘I have absolutely no romance goals whatsoever. I’m just focusing on my children and when I can find time for myself, I’ll socialise. But it’s not the right time for me to have a relationship, while my children are so young.’

Elaborating on co-parenting, she explained: ‘We have a planner in the kitchen between me, Patrick and the children, with the dates of any events we’ve got.

‘We put it on there and try not to clash with each other. It’s the same with family members coming over.’

CHRISTOPHER STEVENS reviews Tempting Fortune on Ch4: This obnoxious woman’s shameless self-indulgence is a sign of the times

    Tempting Fortune (Ch4)

    Rating:

Fashion blogger Imani is determined to become the most loathed woman in Britain. Two days into her unpopularity campaign, she looks unstoppable.

Imani, 32, is one of a dozen contestants trekking through the Malaysian rainforest on the reality show Tempting Fortune, presented by Paddy McGuinness. The rules are simple: everyone who survives 18 gruelling days wins an equal share of the whopping £300,000 prize pot.

But players can make life easier for themselves by purchasing ‘temptations’ — a taxi ride to the next checkpoint, a comfy bed, a plate of pub grub with a cold drink. And if one person grabs a cheat treat, the whole team pays.

Imani isn’t merely giving in to temptation. She’s grabbing luxuries left and right out of sheer spite. The more the others plead with her not to waste their money, the louder she gloats.

On the first night, she blew £1,200 on a night in a four-poster with a mosquito net, while the rest of the players toughed it out on bare planks. When they remonstrated, she swaggered off to spend another grand on five minutes in an air-conditioned booth.

That means every contestant has lost nearly 200 quid so that Imani can have what Imani wants. ‘I’m honestly not bothered,’ she bragged. ‘I’m here to do what I want to do.’

She’s mocking, manipulative and sly. It’s no good yelling at her, or even giving her the silent treatment — unless the others grit their teeth and smile politely at her selfish excesses, she’ll empty the coffers to spoil herself.

On the first night, Imani blew £1,200 on a night in a four-poster with a mosquito net, while the rest of the players toughed it out on bare planks

    Classic art of the night

At Brixton Water Works, chief operating officer Esther showed off a Victorian mosaic, on Thames Water: Inside The Crisis (BBC2). It showed Old Father Thames reclining in a shell. There’s no budget for mosaics now. The company is £19 billion in debt.

A swimming pool was waiting at the second campsite, for a cool £2,000 per dip. Imani declared it a bargain: ‘I didn’t even need to know about the price. It had my name written all over it.’ Since larking around in a pool isn’t much fun on your own, she sweet-talked firefighter Tomasz, 39, into joining her. Splash — that cost everyone more than £330 each.

Tempting Fortune is trash TV, with no pretensions. Unlike other Ch4 offerings, such as The Island With Bear Grylls, this show doesn’t claim to be a genuine psychological experiment or test of endurance. It’s fake, of course it is — the producers have stuck a pub in the middle of the jungle, for goodness sake.

But it does have a social relevance that eludes most reality series. This programme would have made no sense in an earlier era, when people in general still had some sense of shame, even if they lacked a conscience.

Utter self-indulgence was regarded as obnoxious, before Instagram and TikTok made it aspirational. Imani’s contemptible behavour would have seemed beyond understanding. Now, it’s just a reflection of how common it is (in every sense) to think yourself entitled to everything you fancy, at everyone else’s expense.

There’s a simple solution, though. Tell Imani that, from now on, all her spending comes directly out of her own share of the prize. Then we’ll see how eager she is to waste money.

Tempting Fortune’s host Paddy McGuinness has revealed the horrifying moment a contestant on the survival gameshow found a leech in a very unexpected place.

The TV presenter, 51, revealed that after taking a dip on one of the local rivers the unnamed contestant left to find one of the parasites on his penis.

Paddy, 51, told The Sun: ‘There are certain parts of the rivers that the locals call “leech city” – one of the contestants found one on his willy!

Joking that he was impressed by the ordeal for one reason, he joked: ‘It’s not a good look, but it’s impressive – if you can fit a leech on your willy, you’re doing well!

‘But it makes my skin crawl. I don’t know how they coped with that.’

Leeches, feared for their blood-sucking abilities, can vary significantly according to species, but they can be as large as eight inches long.

For those who missed season one, set in the South African wilderness, Tempting Fortune follows 12 strangers as they travel across a hostile landscape to be in with a chance of winning a share of a £300,000 prize pot.

Living on rations, the size of the prize could dwindle if contestants are tempted by luxuries like pop-up pubs and spas and give into their desires for any of the trappings of modern life.

‘David the vicar hasn’t told anyone else he’s a vicar, he’s playing the game,’ Paddy admitted.

‘But he’s in a tricky position because if he takes a temptation – particularly a secret one – he’s effectively lying to the others.

However, Paddy has recently lifted the lid on what he finds most difficult about the dating scene in 2025.

He told The Mirror: ‘This is the first time I have been single in about 16 years and it’s a bit of a mad time for me because the whole dating world has changed.

‘I think it’s tricky because if I date someone the same age as me, we probably have more baggage than Heathrow between us.’

Paddy admitted: ‘And if I date someone younger, we’ve got nothing in common. By younger I mean 30 years old which really gets me down because when I was a kid, a 30-year-old was decrepit.’

Paddy McGuinness lifts the lid on dating fears as he navigates being ‘single for the first time in 16 years’ after split from ex-wife Christine

Paddy McGuinness has revealed his biggest fears when it comes to dating as he navigates being single for the first time in 16 years

The TV presenter, 51, split from his wife Christine in 2021 after just over a decade of marriage and the former couple are co-parenting their children together

The former Take Me Out host also jokingly quipped that when it comes to sex, younger women ‘ know what they want and they don’t mind telling you’.

Meanwhile, Paddy’s dating admission comes just after his phone call to X-rated TV channel Babestation has been revealed by one of its models.

The TV presenter previously revealed that he called the adult cam provider with Robbie Williams while they shared a few drinks together around 20 years ago.

Paddy recalled back in 2021 how they bizarrely rang up Babestation during a night at Robbie’s west London home and had an innocent chat with one of its glamour girls.

He admitted: 'I think it’s tricky because if I date someone the same age as me, we probably have more baggage than Heathrow between us'

Now, model Beth Bennett, 38, has claimed to be the woman who was at the other end of the line and admitted she had absolutely no idea who Paddy was at the time.

Beth revealed exactly what she spoke about during the innocent chat with Paddy, which came before his marriage to his now-ex-wife Christine, and Robbie, who has since married Ayda Field.

‘It was a pretty long conversation from what I remember,’ she told The Mirror. ‘[Babestation calls] all time out at about 18 minutes as an automatic thing and I want to say that it lasted all the way.’

New Zealander Beth, who has worked on Babestation for 13 years, said they joked around about football and their favourite biscuits, before having the age-old debate about whether a Jaffa Cake is a cake or a biscuit.

She confessed she later had to Google Paddy because she had no idea who he was, though she had an ‘inkling’ she was talking to popular singer Robbie, 51, at the time.

‘I had to Google [Paddy], really sorry, but I very much encourage him to call again, for whichever path he wants to take – whether he wants to go the naughtier or nicer path we are definitely always open to hearing from him,’ she cheekily quipped.

Beth said neither Paddy nor Robbie told her of their famous statuses at the time, but said they had a ‘fun’ jokey conversation with the pair at the end of their night out.

She admitted she only realised who Paddy was when he spoke about calling Babestation in an interview, which sparked her memory.

Beth also hinted that it is more common for celebrities to call Babestation than people might think as she teased having other high-profile interactions.

Back in 2021, Paddy recalled the memorable evening he spent with his close friend Robbie when they rang up Babestation.

‘So there we were, the king of pop, chatting away to the girl on Babestation who was totally oblivious to who she was talking to,’ he told The Sun at the time.

He revealed they had spoken about Premier League managers, comedy films and biscuits during the innocent chat.

Paddy and Robbie have been close friends ever since they were introduced by their mutual friend Jonathan Wilke.

The Take Me Out host has even appeared on stage with the Angels hitmaker before, though Paddy admitted Robbie’s fans had no idea who he was at the time.

MailOnline contacted Paddy’s representatives for comment.
