‘But Davina isn’t focused on getting married to Michael. She doesn’t want to get married right now. Instead, she wants to travel the world and have some amazing adventures with him.

‘One of Davina’s favourite things is being in nature and we reckon she’ll be planning some amazing road trip with Michael. Michael is very easy company. With him she can be exactly who she is. So going travelling will be easy for them because they get on so well.’

It comes after Davina revealed that she’s been given the all clear from her brain tumour.

And taking to Instagram on Saturday, the star appeared in a video with partner Michael where she gave a health update following a recent MRI scan.

Davina also shared unseen before and after snaps from her scan revealing that the tumour has completely disappeared from her brain.

Accompanying the video, Davina penned: ‘So here it is. Our final brain surgery update. Had the final MRI this week. @brain.surgeon.uk got everything out during surgery, it’s not coming back.

‘Thanks so so much to everyone at @onewelbeck and @clevelandclinic . To my mum and @mdlondon for taking such good care of me . To Sarah for being my BFF to my amazing kids. To @brain.surgeon.uk for being the GOAT.

‘I am so so grateful particularly because I know a lot of people have inoperable tumours and and I know I’m lucky to be able to draw a line under this and move on with my life when so many people can’t. And I’m just gonna say this one more time. Benign does not mean fine.’

The clip saw the Masked Singer judge and her celebrity hairdresser beau sitting in the sunshine, with Davina telling the camera: ‘We thought’s we’d post a final brain operation update’, with Michael chiming in: ‘It’s good news!’

She told how she had her final MRI last week and admitted that she was nervous’ as if any of the tumour was left that it would grow back and she’d have to ‘go through the whole thing again’.

She noted that she’d ‘mentally prepared herself’ for that scenario, while Michael added that he too was nervous as it had been ‘a huge journey’.

Laughing with joy and relief, Davina then added: ‘but it was clear!’

The pair then held up two scan pictures, the first showing the tumour in her brain and the second showing that it had completely gone post-surgery.

Davina went on: ‘I want to say a massive thank you to everybody that looked after me so well. A special heartfelt thank you from both of us to Kevin for being such an absolute legend.’

The couple also thanked the supportive fans and also their own families and friends, with Davina concluding by blowing a kiss to the camera.

Last month, Davina broke down in tears live on Comic Relief as she discussed her recent brain tumour surgery.

The presenter emotionally reflected on life and ‘what really matters’ after undergoing an operation to remove a colloid cyst five months ago.

Speaking on the programme, she said: ‘Doctors found a brain tumour and after thinking about it for a while I decided it would be best to have it removed.’

Davina struggled to hold back tears, with the camera crew being forced to step in and ask if she was ok.

As her voice cracked, she added: ‘This whole experience, kind of weighing up all the risks and all the positive things about having this tumour removed made me really think deeply about what life is really about and what matters when life gets tough.

‘I needed the brilliance and the skills of lots of experts to make me okay. And oh my goodness, I’ve needed the love and support of friends and my family, and in particular, my Michael to get me through.’

Davina concluded: ‘It really made me think that there are so many people who are in trouble and danger and they don’t have the support that I had. I was really lucky.’

Davina revealed the news back last year on Instagram, she said in a video: ‘I was offered a health scan which I thought I was going to ace but it turned out I had benign brain tumour which is very rare, three in a million.

‘I slightly put my head in the sand for a while, I saw a few neurosurgeons, had quite a lot of opinions and realised I needed to take it out.

‘It’s quite big, it’s 14mm wide and it needs to come out because if it grows it would be bad. I’m having it removed. Say a prayer for me. I’m in good spirits.’

Davina explained that while she was at no immediate risk, doctors were concerned that the tumour could grow larger and cause complications.

A colloid cyst is a slow-growing tumour typically found near the center of the brain. The benign growth contains gelatinous material.

          WHAT IS A COLLOID CYST?

A colloid cyst is a slow-growing tumour typically found near the center of the brain.

The benign growth contains gelatinous material.

Most patients present with headaches, although other symptoms including vertigo, memory problems and double vision can occur.

If large enough, a colloid cyst obstructs the movement of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the brain.

This results in a build up of CSF in the ventricles of the brain and raises pressure in the skull.

Surgery may be required promptly in order to reduce the relatively high risk of sudden death.

‘So she said to me – this is a good example – she said to me ”what kind of pyjamas are you taking to the hopsital?” and I was like ”what kind of pyjamas do you think?” and she went ”oh my God, are they really sexy?” and I would have read that five years ago as an insult ”oh you think I’m too sexy”, now I was like ‘yes!” and we laughed and we laughed about it.

‘I took off ”you wish I’d never come to live with you” and I put on ”I think you always wanted me to live with you” it’s amazing, they’re much nicer glasses.

‘We’ve talked about it non-stop it’s unbelievable, she looked after me for two weeks, we walked arm in arm, we talk we laugh we’ve been so honest to each other.

‘My mum and I have gone deep, since this operation we’ve had the most amazing time ever. We were both aware that we were like two cogs that were just slightly out of kilter, as we were just getting stuck sometimes.

‘I’d noticed she was reaching out to me a bit [before] because I think she’s 75 and like me, she’s looked death in the face and through ”I want to heal everything”.

‘I am so annoyed about this, if everybody’s watching, or if you’ve got anybody in your family, please talk to your family because doing anybody else’s thinking is none of you business.

‘I think that we both felt that our feelings about how the other person was feeling were correct and both of our feelings about each other were making us feel like it was correct.’

The star underwent life-saving surgery in November 2024 after a rare colloid cyst was discovered in her brain, and though benign, it carried the risk of sudden death

While sharing insight into how much Gabby supported her during her recovering from surgery, Davina admitted that the most difficult time for her partner Michael came during the first few days following the operation, when she was in intensive care.

She said: ‘What’s been interesting, is that I think it has been the most testing time for him ever, to see me who is Mrs in Control of everything.

‘I mean beforehand, the fear and everyhing bought us really really really close together but I think the first month for him in hospital was so painful and difficult and hard, and that Whatsapp group was his therapy, his saving grace, I don’t know what he would have done without it.

‘But this is the amazing thing about him as a man, he is everything. He is strong, he’s soft, he’s funny, he’s serious, he’s really smart and super silly.

‘I think I was in intensive care for two/three days in the end.. I htink for him I think for Michael those few days at the beginning, even after three or four days we had a breaktrough.’

Davina revealed that she wrote individual letters to all of her children – Holly, 23, Tilly, 21, and Chester, 18 – in case she didn’t survive.

‘What I wanted to do was to try and find a way that they would all find a way through if I didn’t make it. They make me very proud’, she said.

Steven also spoke of a WhatsApp group he was added to by Davina, full of her friends and family, to talk about what was going on. ‘If something bad happened, who do I not want to hear it from a paper?’ Davina said of who made the cut.

‘It’s funny because I was put in a WhatsApp group with your friends and family, etc,’ Steven said. ‘My first observation was how big that WhatsApp group is. I was like, “Jesus Christ, she’s got some friends!”‘

Davina replied: ‘Do you know what I was thinking when I made the WhatsApp group, is who do I… if… if something bad happened, who do I not want to hear it from a paper?

‘So, I was kind of thinking, in a way, I want them to hear good things. Who… who do I want to hear the news first before anybody else gets it? And that was my list of people.

‘And it was, you know, people like you, who I work with, who I really care about. And then there were obviously my family members. And it was quite nice putting that list together because I thought, “I have so many people I really care about in my life.”‘

Davina has been open about her health scare and previously gave an emotional update in an Instagram video as she urged others to get private health checks if they can afford it.

The My Mum Your Dad presenter had her tumour picked up at a private clinic when  she was offered a health check after taking part in a talk about menopause.

Discussing her progress after the surgery, she explained: ‘I really feel a lot more myself now. I feel way better.

‘My sense of gratitude is growing by the day, I’m crying a bit less which is good. I’m really looking forward to Christmas.

‘I want to talk about the place I did my health check. I didn’t sing about it from the roof tops is it costs more than most people could afford. It’s expensive – BUT it did save my life. But it is prohibitively expensive for most.

‘The NHS also offers loads of other checks too. So get them – get the health check. Preventative medicine is better than reactive medicine.

‘Eat well, do exercise, be less stressed. I just feel so grateful now. I’d like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at the clinics – I’m pretty sure you saved my life.’

Davina McCall has revealed she named her brain tumour, and even threw it a party.

A rare colloid cyst in her brain, though benign, carried the risk of sudden death before the TV presenter underwent life-saving surgery in November 2024.

The Big Brother star, 57, shared on her podcast Begin Again: ‘I called my brain tumour Jeffrey,’ she said.

‘I needed to name it something. And I didn’t have any personal friends that were called Jeffrey, so it seemed like a good name to call him. And we had a Jeffrey happy birthday party with friends.’

She said her boyfriend, hairdresser Michael Douglas, 49, ‘played the piano and sang some songs and sort of did speeches. And we all kind of talked about things and I talked about the fact that I was a bit scared, but “I know I’m going to do it”.

‘And if it was going to happen to anybody, it was good it happened to me because I am robust mentally and I can handle it.’

The mother-of-three was so fearful of dying that she ensured her affairs were in order.

‘I wrote letters of wishes to all the children, and put those in my will.’

‘What I wanted to do was to try and find a way that they would all find a way through if I didn’t make it. They make me very proud’, she said.

The Long Lost Family host believed that ‘in my head, I was literally the healthiest person in the world… And I had this head-to-toe scan.

‘And they came back and they went, “Okay, we’ve got your results. Um… we’d like to talk to you.”’

Despite the severity of her condition, she was determined to avoid pity.

‘I just did not want the drama, right? I felt like the drama would make it a hundred times worse for me. I don’t want limp necks. “Oh my God, oh my…” I don’t want pity. Because a lot of people have said to me since, “When you told me, I thought you could die.”

‘And I thought, “I don’t want people looking at me like I could die. I’m dealing with that myself.” I just want positivity.’

Erotic thriller icon who married much younger actress is unrecognizable in yearbook photos… who is he?

A nepo baby who became an A-list movie star in his own right is unrecognizable in his old high school yearbook photos.

He was born to one of the reigning icons of Old Hollywood, an actor known for his ravishing looks and smoldering performances.

The son, meanwhile, became one of the most recognizable celluloid faces of the 1980s and 1990s, starring in two erotic thrillers that helped define the genre.

In real life he inspired widespread mockery for tying the knot with a much younger actress, but their union has proven to be a rare long-lasting showbiz marriage.

Even diehard fans of this actor would be hard-pressed to guess his name just by looking at his high school yearbook pictures from 1963.

Can you figure out who he is?

The actor in question is Michael Douglas, pictured in his senior year photo at The Choate Preparatory School in Wallingford, Connecticut in 1963.

Various pictures from his yearbook show him as part of the football team, sitting at his desk and taking part in the automobile club.

He is also pictured with a group of his classmates apparently attending a dance, given all the male students were wearing suits with corsages.

Michael is a scion of Old Hollywood royalty, as the son of Spartacus and Paths Of Glory star Kirk Douglas and his actress wife Diana Dill.

Early in his own movie career, Michael was a successful producer, helping bring The China Syndrome and One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest to the screen.

The peak of his stardom came in the 1980s and 1990s when he starred in two of the best-remembered erotic thrillers of the era.

First came the 1987 picture Fatal Attraction, led by him and Glenn Close, and then in 1992 came Basic Instinct, which cast him opposite Sharon Stone.

The 1980s was when Michael delivered his best-remembered performance – his Oscar-winning turn as the ruthless Gordon Gekko in Oliver Stone’s Wall Street.

His longtime fans also remember him in such movies as the adventure picture Romancing The Stone and the dark divorce comedy The War Of The Roses, both starring him alongside Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito.

Later career highlights include his acclaimed performance as Liberace in the HBO biopic Behind The Candelabra, featuring Matt Damon as his lover.

Michael, 80, has been married since 2000 to Catherine Zeta-Jones, 55, with whom he shares his son Dylan, 24, and daughter Carys, 21.

Ever since their romance burst into the public eye in the 1990s, the pair have set heads turning because of their yawning quarter-century age gap.

But in spite of the naysayers, they have soldiered through personal crises to emerge as one of the most enduring couples in Hollywood.

The marriage was not without its rough patches, particularly in the early 2010s as Michael battled throat cancer and Catherine was diagnosed with bipolar II disorder.

They briefly separated in 2013, but quickly fell back into each other’s arms later that year, with Michael explaining that he and Catherine were ‘working things out.’

A few years later, Catherine remarked: ‘I’m very blessed. I have a husband who listens to me and I’m a wife who listens to him. That’s why – though every marriage goes through ups and downs – we’ve come to a place where we couldn’t be better.’

Michael Douglas will match donation from his late father Kirk’s foundation to Red Cross amid wildfires in LA

Michael Douglas announced a generous donation from him and his late father Kirk Douglas’ foundation – amid the wildfires ravaging Los Angeles.

The movie star, 80, took to his Instagram page on Saturday to reveal he asked the board of The Douglas Foundation – founded by Kirk Douglas and his wife Anne – to make a donation to the American Red Cross.

He added that he was planning to match the donation himself and donate his portion to American Red Cross.

Kirk passed away on February 5, 2020 at age 103, and Michael’s stepmother Anne died at age 102 on April 29, 2021.

The devastating wildfires in LA have led to over 40,000 acres burned and 24 people killed.

Over 150,000 people have evacuated due to the massive infernos – with the Palisades Fire being the largest ongoing fire and the Eaton Fire as the second.

Michael started off the video with: ‘How’s everybody doing? we’re off to a pretty rough start for this new year.’

‘I don’t live in LA but i know the city well. And this is just a nightmare tragedy. Not anything I could have comprehend it – probably anybody else,’ he continued.

Adding: ‘I know some people talked about the movie stars who lost have their homes, but a hell of lot of the people who have too. People who work in the industry. People who make an hourly wage. Republicans and Democrats,’ Michael said.

‘It’s a huge, huge number of people who lost their homes and possibly don’t have any insurance. I know most of you are aware of this so what are you going to do? My father Kirk [Douglas] and my stepmother they have a foundation and I asked the board to make a contribution that I’m going to match. So I’m going to try to get the ball rolling there,’ he added.

‘We are going to give our contributions to the American Red Cross. But I hope everybody across the country. This is not a question of blue states or red states. Republicans or Democrats. This is humanitarian. And this really, really is a major crisis.’

‘So please please whenever you can, try to help everybody out. We are focusing on the Red Cross,’ he concluded his video.

The Douglas Foundation was created by Kirk and Anne in 1964, with a focus on making healthcare, the arts and education more accessible to California citizens, per the website.

Michael and his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones currently split their time between Bermuda and Europe, after putting their New York home on sale last summer.

They lived in a massive Irvington, New York mansion – which was 11,653 square feet -but put it in the market after their children Dylan, 24, and Carys, 21, moved out.

The Malibu home late Hollywood stars Ryan O’Neal and Farrah Fawcett lived in has burned down amid the ongoing wildfires in Southern California, his daughter Tatum O’Neal said Saturday.

‘It’s the saddest ever so sad I could cry,’ the Oscar-winning actress, 61, said on Threads. ‘My father’s house is gone Malibu gone.’

Tatum subsequently spoke about the fire damage in a comment thread adjacent to a post actor Michael Douglas shared to Instagram Saturday.

‘My father’s house in Malibu is gone Malibu house gone,’ said Tatum, who won an Academy Award performing opposite her father in 1973’s Paper Moon.

The blaze to the Love Story actor’s longtime residence off Pacific Coast Highway comes more than two years after he died at the age of 82 on December 8, 2023 from congestive heart failure.

It also comes more than 15 years after Fawcett’s death at 62 from cancer on June 25, 2009. She and O’Neal never married, but dated and lived with one another on-and-off (sans a split from 1997-2001) from 1979 until her death.

Insiders told the New York Post a report published following Ryan’s death in December of 2023, Ryan left a $30 million estate that included the 2,344 square foot home, which was valued at $5 million.

A recent Redfin listing estimated the home, which had three bedrooms and three bathrooms, for $3,348,606.

Confirmation of the home’s destruction occurred during a weekend firefighters spent blocking the explosive growth of fires that destroyed thousands of homes and killed at least 24 people in the Los Angeles area.

The death toll surged late Sunday with an update from the Los Angeles County medical examiner. At least 16 people were missing, a number authorities said was also likely to rise.

Twelve people were missing within the Eaton Fire zone and four were missing from the Palisades Fire, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said.

Investigators were reconciling whether some of the missing might be among the dead but so far no children were among those reported missing, he said.

Meanwhile, the death toll rose to 24 over the weekend. Eight deaths were attributed to the Palisades Fire and 16 to the Eaton Fire, according to the Los Angeles County coroner´s office.

The toll could rise still more as cadaver dogs conducted systematic searches in leveled neighborhoods. Authorities established a center where people could report the missing.

While a relative calm Sunday allowed some people to return to previously evacuated areas, however, the National Weather Service issued red flag warnings for severe fire conditions through Wednesday, with sustained winds of 50 mph and gusts in the mountains reaching 70 mph.

The most dangerous day will be Tuesday, warned fire behavior analyst Dennis Burns at a community meeting Sunday night: ‘It will kind of ebb and flow over the next couple days. Tomorrow night, it will really ramp up.’

Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone said 70 additional water trucks arrived to help firefighters fend off flames spread by renewed gusts: ‘We are prepared for the upcoming wind event.’

Fire retardant dropped by aircraft will act as a barrier along hillsides, officials said.

Fierce Santa Ana winds have been largely blamed for turning the wildfires sparked last week into infernos that leveled entire neighborhoods around the city where there has been no significant rainfall in more than eight months.

Officials also were building an online database to allow evacuated residents to see if their homes were damaged or destroyed. In the meantime, LA city Fire Chief Kristin Crowley urged people to stay away from scorched neighborhoods.

Officials warned the ash can contain lead, arsenic, asbestos and other harmful materials.

About 150,000 people in Los Angeles County remained under evacuation orders, with more than 700 residents taking refuge in nine shelters, Luna said.

In all, four fires had consumed more than 62 square miles, an area larger than San Francisco. The Palisades Fire was percent contained and containment on the Eaton Fire reached 27 percent. Those two blazes alone accounted for 59 square miles.

Crews from California and nine other states are part of the ongoing response that includes nearly 1,400 fire engines, 84 aircraft and more than 14,000 personnel, including newly arrived firefighters from Mexico.

The fires that began Tuesday just north of downtown LA had burned more than 12,000 structures. No cause for the largest fires was determined.

Early estimates suggest they could be the nation’s costliest ever , as much as $150 billion according to an AccuWeather estimate.

Davina McCall, 57, puts on a leggy display as she slips into Baywatch swimsuit and hotpants in Masked Singer video

Davina McCall ensured all eyes were on her as she slipped into a Baywatch costume in a BTS Masked Singer video on Saturday.

The TV star, 57,  sizzled in a pre-recorded behind-the-scenes clip shared on her Instagram as she prepared for her stint on the ITV show.

Davina was recently forced to take a step back from her busy work schedule to have surgery after doctors discovered a benign tumour on her brain that affects three in a million people.

The tumour was picked up at a private clinic after she was offered a health check after taking part in a talk about menopause.

In the clip, which was taken before her brain tumour surgery, she wowed in a pair of bright red hot pants and a Pamela Anderson inspired swimsuit.

The star teamed the racy ensemble with a pair of white flip flops and left her raven locks styled in bouncy curls.

The video showed Davina preparing for the talent show while her husband, hairstylist Michael Douglas, sorted out her locks for the appearance.

He penned alongside the post: ‘Its a mad one tonight!! All aboard the goodship Masked Singer this SATURDAY on @itv it might be cold outside but we are in holiday mode!’

It comes as Davina revealed she feels like she’s been given a ‘second chance at life’ after surviving the life-threatening brain tumour.

Weeks after a successful operation to remove the growth, Davina told how her survival feels like a ‘gift’ while reflecting on the success of her new Begin Again podcast.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, the TV star recorded a video as she thanked fans for their support over her latest project, while also looking back on her own health journey as she admitted she feels like she’s ‘begun again’.

She explained: ‘Thanks for joining me on my Begin Again podcast. I’ve loved recording this podcast, and I’ve loved meeting everybody.

‘What I’ve enjoyed about recording this podcast is, it’s so so broad. Begin Again can mean anything, it can mean something similar to what I’ve just been through, which is having a life-threatening tumour and it being removed.

‘I feel like I’ve begun again, I mean in the weirdest sense, I guess because I’ve had a positive outcome. It’s like being given a second chance at life. It feels amazing, almost as if I’ve been given a gift.’

The former Big Brother host then went on to list other ways that beginning again relates to other people, as she listed things such as an enormous crisis, losing a job, a divorce or an accident.

Davina added that she’ll be on hand to support those who feel like they’re ‘stagnating’ in life or just need ‘a kick up the bum’ as she opened up about her hopes and plans for the podcast’s future.

After a few moments of reflection, she concluded by adding: ‘I have found Christmas so challenging in the past and now I don’t find it challenging. So there’s always the possibility of new beginnings… always.

    ‘I think I’m gonna be a nightmare next year – I’ve gone very self-reflective!’

Davina previously explained that she received the diagnosis by chance after booking in for a ‘health scan’.

She said in a video: ‘I was offered a health scan which I thought I was going to ace but it turned out I had benign brain tumour which is very rare, three in a million.

‘I slightly put my head in the sand for a while, I saw a few neurosurgeons, had quite a lot of opinions and realised I needed to take it out.

‘It’s quite big, it’s 14mm wide and it needs to come out because if it grows it would be bad. I’m having it removed.’

She added: ‘Say a prayer for me. I’m in good spirits.’

Davina explained that while she was at no immediate risk, doctors were concerned that the tumour could grow larger and cause complications.

She revealed she had been feeling ‘up and down’ and explained she would be in hospital for at least nine days before coming home.

A colloid cyst is a slow-growing tumour typically found near the centre of the brain, containing gelatinous material. The benign growths are often asymptomatic and found incidentally during imaging tests.

If symptoms do occur as the tumour grows, they are commonly reported to include headaches that are most severe in the morning upon waking, nausea and blurry vision, with other key signs including vertigo and double vision.

Most patients present with headaches, although other symptoms including vertigo, memory problems and double vision can occur.

If large enough, a colloid cyst obstructs the movement of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the brain which leads to a high risk of sudden death.

Davina McCall continued to show off her new haircut on Monday, after stylist boyfriend Michael Douglas lovingly cut her locks.

The TV presenter, 57, was treated to a new do – her first since her surgery to remove a rare benign tumour on her brain – and appeared delighted with the results as she joined her handsome partner, 50, for an Instagram Live.

The couple beamed and packed on the PDA in the fun clip as Michael poked fun at Davina who modelled a new pair of red trousers.

She couldn’t wipe the smile off her face and was in stitches as she gave her partner of five-years an impromptu fashion show.

On Sunday, Michael explained he wanted to pamper the former Big Brother host as he shared the entire haircut on Instagram, to show fans his techniques and tips.

During the pampering session Davina revealed having children caused her to lose a lot of her hair, as she opened up on whether she would ever get Botox again.

She also showed off her scar for the first time and said: ‘It’s all healed, it’s a bit crusty’ but mourned the loss of hair around it, saying ‘we lost a big chunk here’ and lamenting it would take ages to grow back.

But Michael assured his partner that hair grows around ’15cm a year’, and insisted that ‘by this time next year, you won’t notice’.

He then showed her longer locks and said: ‘People think you’ve got really thick hair but it’s actually quite thin’ as Davina turned around with mock outrage, to yell: ‘What!?’

She then admitted she hadn’t got much hair, but it was thick as Michael amended: ‘The strands are pretty thick, but you haven’t got loads of hair.’

The former Big Brother host explained she used to have lots of hair until falling pregnant with her three children, Holly, 23, Tilly, 21, and Chester, 18.

She sadly said: ‘I did have [thick hair]. But I had babies,’ before joking: ‘They took my hair! They put it on their own heads – they’ve all got lovely hair.’

Michael then cut in a stylish fringe for Davina, talking through the process to watching fans, one of whom joked in the comments: ‘A fringe is cheaper than Botox’.

Davina laughed as she agreed and explained how despite having had Botox before, she wouldn’t choose to get it again as it was ‘important I can move my eyebrows’ for her job.

She responded: ‘You are absolutely right. I’ve got lots of wrinkles in my forehead. I mean I can’t and I don’t have Botox. I have had it before, like in my frown lines.

‘But when I’m doing shows like Long Lost Family, the people I’m talking need to know how I’m feeling. I can tell them how I’m feeling with my face, I can emote.

‘So it’s important that I can move my eyebrows. But a fringe really helps soften your forehead.’

Throughout it all, she was in high spirits, looking very loved-up with Michael as the pair share a kiss mid-cut and teased each other.

The couple have been dating since 2019, but during the video the Davina explained that they had first met 20 years earlier when he had cut her hair for the first time.

At one point in the livestream, Michael pulled her hair to cut some layers in at the front and the TV star could be heard drawing in her breath and wincing as he quickly apologised to her for being too rough.

As she reassured him it was fine, the hairstylist cheekily said to the camera: ‘I was a bit rough there – she normally likes it rough’, causing Davina to giggle: ‘Michael Douglas you are naughty!’

As the couple discussed their health, Michael admitted that he has also suffered from hair loss due to recent stress worsening his alopecia, and showed off his bald patches to the camera.

‘He is called Kevin O’Neill and he has been amazing. Obviously trying to find somebody that knew about colloid cysts and stuff was quite a challenge, and Kevin is very experienced as a neurosurgeon, and he done another colloid cyst this year and he has been brilliant.

‘[He] got the whole thing and I know I gave him and Michael a bit of a scare straight after the op because I was so confused, but I am doing so well now.

Davina McCall says she is overwhelmed by her renewed love for her partner Michael after brain tumour surgery as she urges anyone who can afford it to have private health check

Davina McCall has said that she is overwhelmed by her renewed love for her partner Michael Douglas after her brain tumour surgery.

The TV presenter, 57, recently revealed she was forced to have surgery after doctors discovered a benign tumour on her brain that affects three in a million people.

And she gave an emotional update on Thursday in a video uploaded to Instagram as she urged others to get private health checks if they can afford it.

Davina and her hairdresser boyfriend, 49, have been together since 2019 and earlier this week packed on the PDA on a night out.

The tumour was picked up at a private clinic after she was offered a health check after taking part in a talk about menopause.

She said in her video as she documented her progress after the surgery: ‘I really feel a lot more myself now.

She then penned in the caption: ‘I understand that for most of my followers having a private health check isn’t financially viable. But I do really believe that @onewelbeck deserve a special mention.

‘They were the company that gifted me the health check in return for the talk I gave them, and that health check quite possibly saved my life. I owe Rupal and Simi a special debt of gratitude for guiding me through what has been a mad year.

‘I interviewed @drchatterjee recently and he said that the tough times he’s faced have always ended up being blessings of some sort … and I definitely feel this whole experience is a blessing.

‘The love I feel for life, my family, my partner, nature, sun, rain, wind… everything… it’s overwhelming at times… and I totally understand how lucky I was to get this health check… but there were many health checks that I skillfully ignored, when I got letters from @nhsengland offering them…. so what I’m saying is DO THE NHS HEALTH CHECKS … they r free ! BTW x thank you , for all the messages and support … big hugs.’

Her post comes just days after she broke down in tears as she took to the stage to give an emotional speech at the Brain Tumour Research Campaign last week.

The star made her first public appearance since her operation as she attended the event at All Saints Church, Fulham to support her neurosurgeon Kevin O’Neill.

Tearing up in the speech she began: ‘I’m crying already, that didn’t go well’.

In the short clip she continued: ‘I know lots of you here are on your own brain tumour journey and many of you have lost loved ones to a brain tumour.

‘I lost my sister to a brain tumour in 2012 and my ex father in law a year ago.’

Davina’s sister Caroline died age 50 in 2012 after she was diagnosed with lung cancer, bone cancer and was told by doctors that she had two tumors on her brain.

After the emotional evening, the star beamed in snaps as she was joined by her partner Michael Douglas and surgeon Kevin O’Neil who performed the procedure.

Thanking Davina for her attendance at the event, Brain Tumour Research Campaign shared snaps from the event as they praised her ‘courage and grace’.

They penned: ‘What a truly magical Christmas celebration evening! A HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us in making this event so special.’

‘Our evening began with our incredible Chairman, Kevin O’Neill setting the tone with his warmth and passion.

‘We were then moved by the inspiring words of the wonderful Davina McCall who shared her personal story with such courage and grace.

‘Her message about the importance of funding for brain tumour research truly resonated with us all. Thank you, Davina, for being such a powerful voice for this cause.’

The star previously revealed she gave her doctor and her partner Michael a ‘scare’ when she first woke up following her surgery, as she shared an update with her fans earlier this month.

Taking to Instagram she praised her surgeon for performing the procedure, and while she originally woke up feeling ‘very confused’ after her surgery, she’s now doing much better.

Davina added: 'The love I feel for life, my family, my partner, nature, sun, rain, wind… everything… it's overwhelming at times…'

Davina added: ‘The love I feel for life, my family, my partner, nature, sun, rain, wind… everything… it’s overwhelming at times…’

In the video she said: ‘Hi, I thought I’d do a little catch-up post, and I’m gonna out my surgeon.

‘I just wanted to thank him and all the team for taking such really really good care of me thank you. And, yeah I’m gonna take you and your Mrs out for an amazing dinner Kevin.’

Davina previously explained that she received the diagnosis by chance after booking in for a ‘health scan’.

Davina said in a video: ‘I was offered a health scan which I thought I was going to ace but it turned out I had benign brain tumour which is very rare, three in a million.

Davina previously explained the struggles she is facing since her surgery, but how sleep was helping her recover.

She said: ‘Just a little update on here. I’m being brilliantly looked after by Michael and Gabby, my mum. And just to say I’m trying to sleep a lot and get better.

‘My short term memory is really improving everyday. It has been an example to me on how much sleep helps me recover from everything.

‘So if I feel a bit confused or struggling to concentrate I just go to sleep and I wake up completely renewed and refreshed. I know that my brain needs lots of sleep.’

Davina then signed off by thanking fans for their ongoing support amid plans to return to work in mid-January.

Michael also previously gave an update on her health, as he explained after the ‘very, very emotional’ ordeal, she was focusing on resting up.

Taking to Instagram Live last month, the hairdresser revealed: ‘She’s quite tired at the moment. She sleeps really well at night and goes to bed at 10pm and has a nap in the morning, and sleeps for two or three hours in the afternoon.

‘It’s the way your brain heals is by resting. Her body is naturally forcing her to rest’.

However, Michael offered reassurance to fans as he added: ‘She’s off [work] until mid-January. She’s got a lot of time to relax and recuperate.

‘It’s been a very, very emotional and quite an incredible experience. We’re definitely out of the woods.’

Overwhelmed by the support from fans, Davina fought back tears as she thanked her friends and family for their support.

Speaking in a video message filmed from her bed, she said: ‘Hi, I just thought I’d check in and say an enormous heartfelt thank you to everybody who’s messaged me or been in touch.

‘It’s meant the world. It’s been mad and it’s just really nice to be back home. I’m on the other side. My short term memory’s a bit remiss but that is something that I can work on so I’m really happy about that.

‘I’m writing down everything that I’m doing to keep myself feeling safe and I’m being brilliantly looked after by Michael and my mum.

‘I’d quickly like to say big up the step mums. I don’t really say thank you to Gabby enough. She’s been an amazing rock my whole life.’

She emotionally continued: ‘I was talking yesterday to somebody, I said I’ve got a massive dose of vitamin G. I think when something like this happens I just feel so grateful. I’ve always been grateful, I’ve been really lucky in my life.

‘But I feel unbelievably grateful right now. So thanks for everything all of you. I’m on the mend, I’m resting, I’m sleeping loads and I feel really good. I just feel very lucky.’

In the caption, she added: ‘Hey!!! … thank you. For the messages . It’s meant the world. Just want to thank @mdlondon, who gets best boyfriend ever award. Voted for by me and everyone that knows us.

‘Also … best mum ever award … goes to @gabbamccall. Thank you mumma. For being best grandma … and mumma ever.

‘I am feeling much better. Had a great nights sleep in my own bed. Have a couple of sleeps during the day which keeps my brain clear … slowly slowly… huge gratitude, and love for the world and my life and the beautiful people in it.

‘Thank you to all my friends. You are the best. Thank you to @clevelandclinic and my amazing neurosurgeon. Kevin. I love you.
