Vick Hope continues to tease pregnancy with DJ husband Calvin Harris as she admits there’s been ‘lots going on lately’

Vick Hope has continued to tease her pregnancy with a new Instagram post.

The BBC Radio 1 presenter, 35, sparked rumours she is pregnant after appearing to cradle a bump while filming for a press junket in a video released online on Monday night.

And hours after the video, Vick shared another photo of herself posing in a nude dress with her bump on show, as she teased that has been ‘lots going on lately.’

Vick, who married DJ Calvin Harris in September 2023, also shared several images to her Instagram from her recent work highlights, leading her famous friends and fans rushing to the comment section to offer their congratulations.

Lisa Snowden wrote: ‘Congratulations darling. So happy for you both,’ while Laura Whitmore seemed to drop a hint as she commented: ‘She got the glow!’

Elizabeth Day said: ‘Vick congratulations. You look RADIANT AF,’ and Dr Ranj added: ‘Congrats!!!!’

Vick Hope has continued to tease her pregnancy with a new Instagram post, admitting their has been ‘lots going on lately’ as she posed with her bump on show

    Other fan comments included: ‘Omg are we going to talk about you expecting! Huge congrats!’;

‘Congratulations to you and Calvin. Fabulous news. Exciting times ahead,’; ‘Knew she was pregnant at the Brits!’

During a new BBC Radio 1 interview with actress Florence Pugh, the presenter supported a bump as she sat in a cream bodycon dress.

Next to her co-host Jamie Laing, Vic gently stroked her stomach throughout the interview, also proudly showing off her dazzling engagement and wedding ring.

The recorded interview hasn’t yet been published on social media, including Radio One’s Instagram page nor Vick or Jamie’s.

However, it was posted to YouTube on Monday night.

Vick, 35, and husband Calvin previously sparked pregnancy rumours after the Grammy Awards in 2024.

The speculation started after the presenter posted a photo from the awards event where she was seen gently placing her hand on her stomach, which led fans to wonder if this was a subtle hint at a pregnancy.

However, Radio 1 presenter Vick quickly put an end to the rumours on Instagram.

She responded to a fan who urged others to stop commenting on women’s bodies, saying: ‘Yep, just placing my hand on my tummy! I think I was smoothing my dress or checking my post-brekkie bloat or something but thank you all for all the lovely messages.’

Vick and Calvin, whose real name is Adam Richard Wiles, celebrated their first wedding anniversary late last year, after tying the knot in a lavish Ibiza Glastonbury-themed wedding in September 2023.

After their wedding, the newlyweds jetted off to Brindisi in Italy on a £25million private jet for their romantic honeymoon.

Previously, Vick revealed her and Calvin’s love story actually goes all the way back to the mid-Noughties.

Vick shared that when she was 19 she rejected a 24-year-old Calvin’s advances when he was riding on the high of his hit Acceptable In The 80s.

She told You Magazine: ‘It’s something that we laughed about on our first proper date. We still laugh about it now.’

While Calvin went on to become one of the world’s highest producers, racking up an estimated £200million fortune, Vick previously admitted she was ‘shallow’ and had no idea he would turn into ‘an Adonis’.

Talking about her engagement to Calvin, Vick confessed she kept the details of her engagement private noting it was a ‘very special moment’ and that ‘it was… perfect’.

She added: ‘We don’t really put anything on social media because the time we have together is ‘real life’ and it’s our own.

‘For the first time in a long time, I’m finishing work and going home to a life that is just mine. I’m learning to find balance and peace.’

Vick Hope’s and Calvin Harris’s representatives were contacted for comment.

PATRICK MARMION reviews Apex Predator: Yes the title sounds promising, but John Donnelly’s muddled new play is as bloodless as its victims

    Apex Predator (Hampstead Theatre, London)

    Rating:

It’s a horror show at the Hampstead Theatre. John Donnelly’s muddled new play, ostensibly the tale of a young mother suffering from severe post-natal depression, turns into a one-woman, blood-sucking revenge mission against toxic masculinity.

How did it all go wrong? Well, after discovering her ten-year-old son’s primary school teacher is a 200-year old vampire, our formerly miserable mum becomes the ‘apex predator’ of the title in a mirthless, Hammer horror rerun of Killing Eve.

Despite some snappy dialogue, Donnelly’s sketchy characters give the actors little to go on.

Sophie Melville is a powerhouse performer with not much more to do than look confused and jiggle her newborn baby doll, as if out horse-riding.

Bryan Dick has the most advanced sense of self as her bewildered husband with a secret job in the Met Police.

And former Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore is a suspiciously glamorous primary school teacher who turns out to be a human mosquito.

Awkwardly staged on Tom Piper’s design of a bland white kitchen marooned in a black void surrounded by scaffolding, Blanche McIntyre’s production fails to spook us with uncertainty about what’s real and what’s not.

Just about anything can and does happen. And, most dismally, the fourth cast member, Leander Deeny, is hung out to dry in a series of nasty misogynistic stereotypes — some of which he tries to salvage as comedy.

Yes the title sounds promising, but the play itself is as bloodless as its victims.

    Rhinoceros (Almeida Theatre, London)

    Rating:

Played fast and furious, Ionesco’s absurdist 1959 totalitarian satire about the inhabitants of a French town turning into rhinos (symbolising the abolition of individual freedom and surrender to the herd instinct) might be a beast worth reviving.

Alas, adaptor and director Omar Elerian’s attempt does not convince. Eager to underline the artifice of theatre, he has created a compere (Paul Hunter introduces himself a ‘provocateur’) to warm up the audience.

On a space resembling a rehearsal room, actors in white coats and clownish hairdos follow his stage directions, carving out the unseen set.

He introduces the locals. One can’t find an invisible door. Another is out of time with the homemade sound effects. Another is a lady with a cat.

Actually, she is cradling a large watermelon. When, bafflingly, rhinos rampage through the town, the ‘cat’ is squashed; the watermelon splitting to reveal its blood-red flesh.

It’s all mildly diverting physical comedy, well-drilled certainly, but less than witty and anything but menacing.

At the interval, kazoos are issued to some members of the audience as well as the cast. In the second half, their bathetic sounds suggest the roar of rhinos, with the provocateur now functioning as their conductor.

Meanwhile, on stage, Jean (Joshua McGuire) is in agony because a rhino horn is pushing its way through his head.

The process completed, Jean cuts a ridiculous figure in a shiny grey body-stocking with a silly little tail.

His neighbours are starting to follow suit (quite literally, in grey trousers). They stomp about, kazooing madly.

Mercifully, by now the stage directions have stopped and some ‘real’ acting begins at last — largely thanks to downbeat Berenger (excellent Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, of Gangs Of London), who has always refused to conform, wearing his own clothes, drinking too much.

Laura Whitmore infuriates BBC bosses by pulling out of Celebrity Apprentice special just DAYS before filming as lineup is revealed

Laura Whitmore has infuriated BBC bosses by pulling out of her appearance on the Celebrity Apprentice special, MailOnline can reveal.

The former Love Island presenter, 39, left the casting team in the lurch after backing out of the show’s lineup, which includes the likes of Big Brother host AJ Odudu, EastEnders star Jake Wood, and JLS singer JB Gill.

Lord Sugar’s spin-off is to celebrate 20 years of The Apprentice as a host of famous faces take on the challenge of impressing the business mogul for charity.

But podcast host Laura will not be one of them after she opted out of the BBC series due to an ‘unavoidable clash’ in her schedule.

Other names taking part in the one-off special are TV’s Rob Rinder, actress Sarah Hadland, and ex-Apprentice candidate Tom Skinner, who competed for Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment in 2019.

A TV source told MailOnline: ‘Laura infuriated BBC bosses by pulling out of the Celebrity Apprentice special.

‘Of course, there can be a lot of last minute changes in television, but it was just days before filming started and the team were very much left in the lurch.

‘The dates did not work for Laura and so she backed out, but many were left in an awkward position by her decision.’

The 12 contestants announced to be taking part on the celebratory season also include Gladiator Legend, real name Matt Morsia, funnyman Eddie Kadi and standup comic Shazia Mirza.

Former Strictly star Angela Scanlon, Paralympian Kadeena Cox and Radio 1 DJ Charlie Hedges will also face Lord Sugar in the boardroom as they complete tasks during the new series.

Laura, who stood down from presenting Love Island in 2022 after three years at the helm, is now pursuing an acting path and is currently rehearsing for new play Apex Predator, which she stars in from March 22 until April 26.

Writing on Instagram last month, Laura wrote alongside the casting announcement: ‘I promised myself a long time ago to create not imitate and do what I love.’

She inherited the Love Island hosting role from the late Caroline Flack, who passed away weeks before filming of the winter series began in 2020.

Laura, whose husband Iain Stirling is the ITV2 show’s voiceover, co-hosts podcast Murder They Wrote alongside the comedian, who she shares a daughter with.

MailOnline has contacted Laura’s representatives and an Apprentice spokesperson for comment.

The 19th series of the civilian Apprentice is currently airing on the BBC, with Thursday night’s episode seeing the firing of candidate Jonny Heaver.

It follows the departure of Dr Jana Denzel, who MailOnline revealed quit the show before Lord Sugar had the chance to sack him.

He stood down from the BBC process amid a ‘racism row’ where he was accused of using the highly offensive word ‘coloured’ to describe a black person during a task.

Jana later admitted to the error and explained how he apologised to all involved and took the BBC up on educational training, where he learned the meaning of the term.

Speaking on TikTok, he said: ‘I apologised and they offered me some training behind that word and I said yes, I would love to learn more.

‘They gave me the training and now I have a better understanding of the use of that word, the history of it, especially in the US.

‘I wasn’t reprimanded or forced to do the training, it happened way after we finished filming.’

The 2025 BRIT Awards ceremony was hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, marking his fifth time at the helm of the event, after having previously presented the show in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

The star-studded event took place once again at London’s O2 Arena with the trophy this year designed by the talented Gabriel Moses.

The night featured massive performances from Ezra Collective and special guest Jorja Smith.

They joined an exciting lineup of acts including Jade Thirlwall, Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Fender, Lola Young, Teddy Swims, and The Last Dinner Party.

Charli XCX was originally set to perform but decided not to despite months of negotiations.

According to a close source, the decision comes as she shifted her focus toward preparing for the Grammy Awards, which took place earlier this month.

The pop singer led the 2025 BRIT Awards nominations with five nods, closely followed by Dua Lipa who had been recognised in four categories.

In the end, Charli’s smash hit album BRAT swept the board and took home all of the five awards she was nominated for.

The British singer, 32, whose No1 album became a cultural phenomenon last summer, took home Best Album, Artist of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Dance Act and Best Song Writing.

Charli’s incredible sweep mirrored Raye’s own triumph at last year’s ceremony which saw the 27-year-old made history after scooping a record breaking six gongs.

She made history when her No1 album Brat became a cultural phenomenon last summer along with the colour slime green as millions of fans showed their support by posting clips of Charli’s Apple Dance on TikTok.

Dua, 29, who is already the recipient of seven BRITs, went head-to-head against Charli for Song Of The Year with hit Training Season, Artist Of The Year, Pop Act, and Album Of The Year with Radical Optimism.

US superstar Taylor Swift, 35, battled it out with Billie Eilish in the International Artist Of The Year category, which also featured Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan, as well as for the International Song Of The Year accolade.

Sabrina landed her first BRIT when she scooped the special Global Success Award, presented by Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, 21.

Thanking her UK fans American singer quipped that a ‘predominantly tea drinking country’ had ‘streamed the s***’ out of her smash hit track Espresso.

However the banger was pipped to the post for Best International Song Of The Year to Chappell Roan for her own catchy tune Good Luck, Babe.

The HOT TO GO singer, 27, later went on to beat the likes of Beyoncé and Billie Eilish to win Best International Artist.

The winners of five genre awards – Alternative/Rock Act, Dance Act, Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act, Pop Act, R&B Act – were determined by a public vote exclusively through WhatsApp for the first time ever.

Sam Fender was announced as the winner for Alternative Rock Act for a second time.

It marks his third BRIT after winning the Rising Star Award (previously Critics’ Choice Award) in 2019 and Alternative Rock Act in 2022.

Accepting the award, he joked: ‘As you can tell I’m a little bit nervous, I’m nowhere near as drunk as last time.’

‘Massive thanks to the fans, we’ve got the best fans in the world. To everybody at home in Newcastle – love you.

‘Huge thanks to my band. Without them, I’m just a mad person shouting at the walls. Love yous all.’

Meanwhile in a shock to some, Jade Thirwall, 32, beat the Brat singer to be crowned Best Pop Act, making it the former Little Mix star’s first solo Brit.

In her own heartfelt speech, Jade thanked boyfriend Jordan Stephens and her ‘Little Mix sisters’ Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

Gushing over her former bandmates she said: ‘I love you so much. I wouldn’t have this award without them. They changed my life and I am so grateful’.

Central Cee earned nods in the Song Of The Year category as well as Artist Of The Year, and Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act.

Stormzy won his fourth BRIT after scooping the Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act as he took to the stage wearing shades.

He said: ‘I think Central Cee was the best rap artist of year, but I am very grateful. This is a mad funny time for me to win an award.

‘I’m wearing shades because I’ve got a bruised cornea, I mashed my eye playing paddle.’

The jazz quintet Ezra Collective, who won the Mercury prize in 2023, landed four nominations for Best New Artist, Group Of The Year, Alternative Rock Act and Album Of The Year for their body of work Dance, No One’s Watching.

Their biggest competition came from The Last Dinner Party who were also up for Best New Artist, Group Of The Year, Alternative Rock Act and Album Of The Year.

She had a brief stint in the villa in 2021, entering as a Casa Amor bombshell before being dumped when she failed to find a romantic connection.

After leaving the villa, Lillie was asked by former host Laura Whitmore about a reported spark with Manchester City footballer Jack Grealish.

Laura left viewers angry after she quizzed the Casa Amor bombshell about Jack, who is in a relationship with his childhood sweetheart Sasha Attwood. The pair are now parents to five-month-old daughter Mila.

Love Island fans branded Laura ‘disrespectful’ after she said to then 22-year-old Lillie: ‘I’ve spotted some pictures, yes I’ve seen them. Jack Grealish – what’s going on?’

Laura was quick to defend herself on Instagram after the show, writing: ‘I insist everyone sees the questions before they go on air and are OK with it.’

Laura was seemingly referring to Jack liking a string of Lillie’s glamorous Instagram photos – including one of her wearing a bikini – before swiftly unliking the sizzling snaps.

The pair were also spotted chatting at a star-studded party in August shortly afterwards.

Clearly embarrassed, Lillie awkwardly replied: ‘Nothing.’

Fans quickly took to Twitter to brand Laura’s line of questioning ‘disrespectful’.

    They wrote: ‘How disrespectful. Jack Grealish has a girlfriend. These rumours must cause so much mental stress and heartache;

    ‘How can you add fuel to the fire when it’s someone’s personal life. What happened to be kind?;

Laura Whitmore has had a monumental career shift over the past five years, ditching her glittering TV career to play to theatre audiences of just 300.

After kicking off her showbiz CV with a reporter job for MTV, she hit the big time with the coveted Love Island role, presenting the the ITV series from 2020 to 2022, after taking over from Caroline Flack.

But Laura suddenly quit the hit show, which can still command an audience of millions, after just three seasons explaining that she found certain elements of the show ‘difficult’.

She later slammed ITV bosses, claiming that she that she was forced to ‘stay quiet’ when it came to sharing her opinions with the islanders, and revealing that the became frustrated with the ‘parameters’ of her role.

Since parting ways with the ITV juggernaut, Laura has taken a huge step back from the telly spotlight.

She tried to maintain her relationship with ITV, fronting a short-lived chat show Laura Whitmore’s Breakfast Show but it was cancelled after just a few months, whilst her Prime Video series Date My Mate was also axed after one series.

She admitted at the time that she saw the move as her way of ‘reclaiming my power,’ after having been ‘frustrated’ over having ‘no control’ over the shows she worked on.

But to date the series has only aired three episodes.

The latest career move has since Laura turn to the theatre. In 2022, shortly after quitting Love Island she made her West End debut in 2:22 A Ghost Story – a production that has become more well known for its neverending cast changes than it has for its glittering reviews.

This summer she will lead a touring production of The Girl On The Train which will follow a month at the Hampstead theatre, conveniently located a stones’ throw from her North London home, for a new play titled Apex Predator.

The intimate surroundings of Hampstead Theatre, which has a 325 seat capacity is a far cry from the three million viewers her old show Love Island regularly attracted.

Laura has been open about her reasons for taking on the theatre work, recently revealing it’s all down to family logistics and her role as mum to four-year-old daughter Stevie.

During her starring role in Apex Predator, Laura’s husband Iain will be on the road for his UK stand-up comedy tour, before she heads out around the country for The Girl On The Train.

‘Life is a juggle,’ she told The Sunday Post this month. ‘One of the reasons I am doing the play in the summer months is so that I won’t have to take our daughter out of school, and we can work it together. When I did the West End, it was 18 weeks. It worked out well because I had my child during the day and at her bedtime I’d go to the theatre.’

‘I’m not going to lie, it’s a logistic nightmare, but the priority for Iain and me is always going to be our child.’

‘I love working and the opportunities I have, but it is bloody hard. I have done things at crazy hours to make it work around her bedtimes.

Whilst the back to back theatre productions may be convenient, Laura is most likely on a significantly lower salary than the bumper pay she received as a Love Island host.

It’s reported that stage stars can earn around £1,430 a week depending on audiences, say experts at What’s On Stage whilst Laura was at one point rumoured to be paid £600,000 for Love Island, a figure she later denied.

For now at least Laura has less lofty ambitions than banking millions, admitting her ‘hardest’ role yet has been motherhood, with her daughter drastically refocusing her outlook, as she declares: ‘It makes more appreciative of time and of giving my time to the right things.’

Caroline Flack’s last broken voice messages that reveal what she thought of Laura Whitmore replacing her – as friends slam ‘poor taste’ move: KATIE HIND

When Caroline Flack learned that her beloved Love Island job had been handed to her younger, blonder, rival Laura Whitmore, she was distraught.

Days earlier, Caroline had a difficult phone call with some of ITV’s most senior bosses in which she was told she was no longer going to be allowed to continue hosting the dating show she’d fronted – and become the ‘face’ of – for the past five seasons.

The reason for her departure was clear: it wouldn’t be appropriate now that Caroline, 40, had been charged with assault following a late-night, jealous argument in which she’d hit her boyfriend Lewis Burton with a lamp.

Her exit had prompted much speculation over who would step into her shoes: whether it would be Irish model Laura or the even younger Maya Jama, who is the current presenter.

Following the announcement that Laura had indeed got the job, Caroline took to WhatsApp and left voice notes for her friends, telling of her devastation.

‘It broke Caroline’s heart,’ said a friend of the late television host. ‘She had clung on to the hope that the charges would be dropped and that she would be able to continue after all.

Caroline Flack was said to be ‘distraught’ when she learned that her Love Island job had been handed to her younger, blonder, rival Laura Whitmore

Laura, the 39-year-old former MTV showbusiness journalist, took to Instagram last week, on the fifth anniversary of Caroline's death, to share an exchange of messages between herself and Caroline

‘Next Laura had the job. It felt awful for Caroline. She knew Laura a bit, but not particularly well, but her job had been snatched away from her. Caroline was furious and desperately upset.’

It was losing this job that she adored – and the thought of being publicly humiliated at a criminal trial – that ultimately led to Caroline spiralling into despair, and culminated in her taking her life on February 15, 2020.

And after her death, her devastated mother Christine made it very clear how ‘horrible’ it was to see Laura in her daughter’s role.

‘I watched Love Island because Carrie was in it,’ she said. ‘Now, it’s horrible when the advert comes up and the girl that’s taken her place is in almost the same dress, in almost the same pose. I think ITV2 could have done it a little differently. They could have done it out of respect.’

So when Laura, the 39-year-old former MTV showbusiness journalist, took to Instagram last week, on the fifth anniversary of Caroline’s death, to share an exchange of messages between the two of them, there was much shock within her circle.

Along with a throwback photo of them together, Laura posted a series of texts they exchanged in the five weeks between Laura being offered the Love Island job, and Caroline taking her life.

In one text, saved as ‘Flacky’ in Laura’s phone (though many of Caroline’s friends called her Carrie), she had obviously swallowed her pride, and wished Laura the best.

Those who knew her, however, will attest to how much every word must have stung. ‘I hope you are doing the job… I wouldn’t want it to be anyone else,’ she wrote.

Later, after landing the role, Laura shared the news with Caroline before it became public and promised to ‘do my very best to give it the justice it deserves’.

Caroline simply replied with a red heart emoji and said: ‘I’m glad it’s you.’

In a lengthy caption alongside the post, Laura gushed over Caroline’s ‘support’ and admitted it had ‘really hit me hard’ reading back their touching final exchange.

‘I got a new phone this month and as I was trying to download WhatsApp messages from my cloud and loads of old messages came up. Ones I thought I lost a few years ago and no longer had. It really hit me hard.

‘Looking at messages I’ve never publicly shared as they were private messages. I think they show a side to Caroline which is nice to remember. Hence I’m sharing now.’

Her decision to do so was viewed as ‘totally unnecessary’ by those who knew Caroline. Others see it as totally inappropriate and jarring.

One said: ‘Why would Laura do that? They were private messages between them, Caroline’s nearest and dearest wouldn’t publicly share private correspondence so why would Laura?

Caroline pictured leaving a magistrates' court in December 2019 after pleading not guilty to assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton

‘Caroline was kind and would not have wanted Laura to think she had ill feeling towards her, but Caroline was so upset at losing that job. She loved it so much, it seems in pretty poor taste that Laura has put them out there, nobody can really understand why.

‘When you send a text to someone you don’t expect it to be shared into the public domain, even five years later. Laura even acknowledges that the messages are private yet she still shared them.

‘It’s hard to see of what benefit this had to Caroline on such a poignant day.’

Indeed, it’s fair to say many are beginning to wonder whether Caroline, and the terrible circumstances of her death, will ever be left in peace.

Certainly her mother Christine shows no signs of letting matters rest as she continues to fights for answers.

Caroline’s life began to spiral out of control in December 2019 when Burton, a then 27-year-old former tennis player and model with whom Caroline was said to be besotted, called the police to say that she had hit him with a lamp at her flat in Islington, north London.

Following the attack, in which Burton received superficial injuries, Caroline slashed her wrists, leaving blood all over her bedroom. Those close to her say that she ‘went ballistic’ when the police arrived – all of which was recorded on their bodycam.

After a visit to hospital, she attended a north London police station where she was told initially that she wouldn’t be charged and would be able to leave with a caution. However, three hours later she called a friend in floods of tears to say that she was being charged over the attack after all.

And it is that decision that Christine disputes. Earlier this year, she revealed the Independent Office of Police Conduct has urged the Metropolitan Police to reopen its investigation into the case. The watchdog has recommended that the force’s Directorate of Professional Standards interviews an officer who was present at the time of Caroline’s arrest.

He was said to have been involved in the move to overrule the Crown Prosecution Service’s decision to issue her with a caution for her attack on Burton.

A court date had been set for March 4, 2020, and Caroline was haunted by the thought of that police bodycam footage being made public during the trial.

This is what friends say prompted Caroline to take her own life on February 15 at her home in Stoke Newington, north-east London.

Five years on, Caroline’s distraught mother is in the middle of making a documentary for streaming giant Disney+. Curious Films, the production company that made 2021 documentary Caroline Flack: Her Life & Death, have already set to work on the programme which hopes to explain why she died – and whether her life could have been saved.

While most of Caroline’s friends didn’t want to take part, those who did found the line of questioning uncomfortable.

Indeed, Curious Films have repeatedly asked me to take part as a member of the Press – which Christine also feels contributed to Caroline’s declining mental health, and ultimately her death,

Their plan was that I too would be quizzed to explain why particular stories appeared in newspapers. The truth is that the last time I saw Caroline, at Soho House’s House Festival at Kenwood House in July 2019, she was happily entertaining a circle of journalists. She was also still briefing them in 2020, very close to her death.

‘When Caroline died there was a whole ‘Be Kind’ message that was shared,’ said a friend. ‘Nobody can work out why this is happening now.’

‘I will always be so thankful of the last messages between me and Caroline. I never asked her about the court case – it wasn’t my business. I didn’t know her partner at the time and still don’t.’

Laura then revealed that she turned down the opportunity to appear in the upcoming Disney+ documentary about the late TV star.

She continued: ‘Every time I’ve been asked to speak about the situation or be part of a documentary I decline.

‘I’ve already said all I can say on the tragedy and don’t want words to be misconstrued and need to look after my own mental health. This was the last correspondence I ever had with her.

‘I really did hope she was somewhere lovely. A spa/retreat/rehab. I never knew the extent of her struggles or what was to come.

‘The last message from her to me were love hearts. I’d like to think wherever she is now, she’s at peace and somewhere lovely like I hoped.’

It’s been five years since TV star tragically died by suicide aged 40, amid a looming court case after allegedly hitting boyfriend Lewis Burton with a lamp.

In December, the Mail revealed that Caroline’s mother Christine is central to a new documentary about the presenter as they will try to give some answers as to why she died.

Disney revealed the film would include firsthand testimony, among them Caroline’s family and friends, as Christine embarks on a journey to uncover the truth around the circumstances that led to Caroline tragically taking her own life in 2020.

Christine said: ‘I still have so many questions about what happened to Caroline in her final months, and it’s something I feel deeply compelled to explore, even though I know it will be challenging.

‘I’m pleased to be working with the team at Curious Films once again, in the hope of bringing clarity and understanding to Carrie’s story, not just for her, but for everyone who cared about her.’

Gaby Aung, Senior Manager, Unscripted, Disney+ added: ‘We’re privileged to be working with Christine Flack and our production partners at Curious, as we follow a family’s pursuit for answers and celebrate Caroline’s legacy five years on from her tragic death.’

Questions have been raised as to why Lou Teasdale and fellow friend Mollie Grosberg left Caroline alone in her flat on the day she took her own life – with the Love Island star having made a previous suicide attempt the day before.

‘Where was her family? Louise had to get back to her young daughter, she couldn’t stay any longer. They had been with Caroline for hours and hours and they tried to get her to go to hospital but she wouldn’t.

‘They remained at her flat to make sure she was OK but they couldn’t stay there indefinitely, so they went.

‘It is devastating that they now have Caroline’s mother blaming them. Christine was once so close to Lou but not any more.

‘Caroline’s death has haunted her friends and changed their lives, and there is a view that she should be left to rest in peace. But this documentary is going to drag everything up and, whether it intends to or not, runs the risk of laying blame in certain places.’

Mollie, a production manager, who also stayed with Caroline that night, has openly said she will never get over her death.

‘She was a good friend to Caroline,’ said a friend of hers. ‘She would have done anything for her.’

After setting up an Ask Me Anything on Instagram last month, Lou responded to a fan who said: ‘If someone is intent on suicide, nothing will stop them. You did your best, dont 4get that [sic]’.

Reflecting on her experience, Lou responded: ‘Suicide has affected my life a lot over the past 10 years. As it does for many many people. If it’s not you suffering personally it’s someone around you.

‘I am currently working with an amazing charity Body and Soul.

Questions have been raised as to why Lou Teasdale (L) and fellow friend Mollie Grosberg, left Caroline (R) alone in her flat on the day she took her own life (pictured 2014)

After setting up an Ask Me Anything, Lou responded to a fan with a candid post about suicide and her charity work

‘Since experiencing and doing my best to care for two separate close friends around me attempting suicide numerous times without getting the professional help they need before inevitably seeing it through,’

‘I identified that between what our NHS and private health sectors offer and mental health “helplines” that raise millions of ££ a month in fundraising, there is quite literally NOTHING that actually works with and helps people who are suicidal.

‘Body and Soul offer a one-of-a-kind 6 month support programme for individuals who attempt suicide and boast a 100 per cent success rate with 0 reattempts from those who have been on their You Are Not Alone course.

‘They also offer free online workshops for people close to those who attempt who are, like me, completely unqualified but on front-line supporting someone going through this. I always say suicide is contagious.

‘One suicide creates enough trauma around those involved there becomes a risk of further suicides without proper support.

‘After researching a lot of different initiatives this is the only one that has stood out to me that has REAL on-the-ground impact with the work they do.

‘Reach out to them if you feel you need some help right now, or give them a follow and donate if you can. [sic]’

The DJ was joined by her former Big Breakfast co-host Johnny, 58, as the pair were captured larking around, looking closer than ever after sorting their twenty-year feud.

The presenting pair fronted the Big Breakfast show during the 90s, yet things turned sour after Denise’s relationship with Johnny broke down over a contract dispute which triggered her decision to leave the show in January 1999.

However, despite being embroiled in a 23-year pay dispute, the pair finally made up during the Covid-19 pandemic and made their first TV appearance in 20 years on Steph’s Packed Lunch in June 2023.

The duo will be back on our screens soon as they teased that they were ‘filming’ again back in July.

He’s no stranger to interviewing big stars as a host on BBC Radio 2.

But even Vernon Kay struggled to hide his excitement as he watched Timothee Chalamet casually arrive for the premiere of his Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown on Tuesday.

The presenter, 50, was seen filming the actor as he cruised down the red carpet on a Lime Bike.

Vernon was among several stars who joined A Complete Unknown’s cast on the red carpet at the BFI Southbank, including Laura Whitmore and Paul Mescal’s sister Nell.

Timothee walked the red carpet solo, with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner deciding to stay home. The A-list couple have largely kept their two year romance out of the spotlight.

Monica Barbaro, who stars in the film alongside Timothee and Elle Fanning – who was a no show at the UK premiere – made sure all eyes were on her at the event.

The movie focuses on Dylan’s early career, his transition from folk to rock, and his performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, with Timothée being praised for his portrayal.

It comes after Timothée revealed he had ‘five years of singing practice’ ahead of his role as Bob Dylan in the upcoming biopic, A Complete Unknown.

The actor, 28, who stars as the Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door hitmaker, 83, both sings and plays the songs live in the drama which is set for release in January.

Appearing on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, he admitted to not knowing much about Bob before, but is now ‘deeply passionate’ about his cultural impact.

Timothée said: ‘I had a lot of time to practice because we were meant to make the film five and half years ago, then there was Covid and then there was the actors’ strike, so I have years to prepare.

‘I was confident about singing and by the time we got to do the film I wanted to sing and play the songs live.’

He added: ‘I didn’t know much about Dylan but now, having worked on it for so long, I really worship at the church of Bob.

‘I am deeply passionate about this man and his work. My friends are tired of hearing me talk about him ad nauseam.

‘This man has been so impactful on culture and this film and this role are the ones I am most proud of.’

The Oscar nominee, who did not have any face time with the hitmaker prior to playing him, has been praised by critics for saving the film, despite its flaws.

Timothée continued: ‘Bob is an elusive, mysterious figure and a man of few words so I never got the chance to meet him.

‘I would like to, but I am very respectful that it is true to his character that I would never get to meet him.’

Elle Fanning will star as Sylvie Russo, a renamed version of Bob’s girlfriend from the time while Monica Barbaro will play Joan Baez.

The movie centres on the singer-songwriter’s controversial switch to electric instruments at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.

Timothée – who will be joined in the cast by Edward Norton and Boyd Holbrook – was confirmed to be doing his own singing in the movie after lending his vocals to his 2023 musical flick Wonka.

Director James Mangold confirmed that he has been working with Bob on the project and that the Hurricane singer had some personal input into the screenplay.

It comes following reports that Maya denied reports she is set to leave Love Island next summer after the show returns for another series – after it was claimed former contestant Maura Higgins could replace her.

Maya is thought to earn £750,000 per series for the hosting role after she took over from Laura Whitmore in January 2023.

At the time, Maya said it had been a lifelong dream to host Love Island, expressing how thrilled she was to achieve it finally.

It’s little wonder Maura’s name has been bandied around when it comes to who could ever replace Maya.

Maura, 34, who became a huge hit in I’m A Celebrity this year, first shot to fame when she made a dramatic entrance into the villa as a bombshell in 2019 – with insiders claiming bosses have her in line as Maya’s replacement.

A source told The Sun: ‘Maya adores hosting Love Island and thinks it’s a great fit for now. But she’s keen to leave on a high and keep her career moving forward on the right tracks. She is incredibly ambitious and would like to keep focusing on primetime presenting opportunities.’

‘She also has hopes of working in America and doesn’t want to be tied down. She has been building up her skills as a presenter and is very much part of the Love Island family.’

The insider added: ‘She also has the unique perspective of having appeared herself as a contestant. She’s just also had a successful stint on I’m A Celeb so the world is her oyster now.’

The television personality also has presenting experience. This year she hosted the US version of the spin-off show Love Island Aftersun and also presented Glow Up.

MailOnline has contacted a rep for Maya, Maura, and ITV for comment.

ITV has denied reports Maya will step down, with a spokesperson telling MailOnline: ‘We are very much committed to Maya, who is a brilliant Love Island host, and we have no plans for a presenter change.’

The new Channel 5 series is based on the hit Sunday Times bestselling novel of the same name by Lesley Kara.

The show explores how small-town gossip can spiral out of control and can have unintended consequences.

Rachel Shenton will play Joanna, a young mother who moves to the town of Flinstead seeking a fresh start.

However, when Joanna stumbles upon an online rumour concerning a notorious child killer who lives in the town, she uses it as a way to win over the mothers she sees at the school gate.

Speaking about joining the show, she said: ‘I’m really excited to play Joanna. The Rumour is a story of a woman unravelling as she relentlessly pursues the truth.

‘She’s very relatable and the cast are amazing. It’s lovely to work with so many women.’

Wolf Hall’s Joanne Whalley and Enola Holmes’s Ellie Haddington are also part of the cast.

Paul Testar, Commissioning Editor, Drama, Channel 5 commented: With Lesley Kara’s captivating story and a stellar cast, this series promises edge-of-your-seat suspense and a fascinating exploration of the thin line between trust and fear.’

Rivals is based on Jilly Cooper’s saucy Rutshire Chronicles and is jam-packed with the same sharp wit, romantic entanglements, raunchy sex scenes and unforgettable characters.

The story is set in 1986 and follows the cut throat world of television, including the tense rivalry between Rupert Campbell-Black (Hassell) and Lord Tony Baddingham (Tennant).

The first season saw a series of parties and luncheons in Lord Baddingham’s country pile result in steamy affairs and star-crossed yearnings.

Fashion Awards 2024 WORST dressed: Ellie Goulding dons a bizarre sleeping bag style coat dress as she joins Rita Ora, Myleene Klass and Laura Whitmore leading the lame looks

Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Myleene Klass and Laura Whitmore all failed to impress with their looks as they hit the red carpet at the 2024 Fashion Awards in London on Monday evening.

Ellie, 37, swamped herself in a huge white sleeping bag style coat dress to walk the Royal Albert Hall’s red carpet in rare fashion faux pas for the singer.

Meanwhile Rita, 34, seemingly tried and failed to channel the late great David Bowie in an oversized grey suit with her hair styled into blonde spikes.

She then only made matters worse by adding a whole host of extra large silver accessories in numerous earrings in both ears.
