Pirates of the Caribbean fans lose it over bombshell news about Johnny Depp and franchise reboot

Captain Jack Sparrow may sail the high seas again.

Johnny Depp who is enjoying a comeback, is reportedly in ‘advanced’ talks to reprise his role in yet another Pirates of the Caribbean adventure.

The UK website Express reported the bosses at Disney, which made the five previous Pirates films, are getting ready to greenlight the project, quoted a senior executive who said ‘It’s very close to being a done deal.’

‘A script is already in place and Disney views this as a series reboot, meaning the door will be wide open for more future episodes for Johnny, despite everything he has been through,’ the exec told the outlet.

Depp, 61, was dropped by Disney after his ex-wife, Amber Heard, wrote about her experience as a victim of domestic abuse, although she did not publicly name Depp as her alleged abuser.

After the op-ed was published a UK newspaper that branded him a ‘wife beater,’ and he was dropped by Disney and from other projects including the Fantastic Beasts franchise.

Depp lost his defamation suit against the UK publication, but won millions in a civil trial in the US against Heard, 38, vindicating himself while destroying Heard’s career.

Reaction to the rumors has been mixed.

‘@disneystudios, listen to the people. They’re the ones buying the tickets. You already saw what happened with the Snow White movie. No one wants to see Pirates of the Caribbean without Johnny Depp!’ advised one die hard fan on X.

‘I want Johnny Depp to play the character one last time, last movie probably will make $2.5B if all original cast returns,’ contended another.

‘Captain Jack Sparrow remains spectacular, even if Johnny Depp is the opposite,’ wrote a fan of the franchise, but not the star.

‘Unpopular opinion:…The guy that played captain Barbosa (Oscar winner Geoffrey Rush, 73)  in pirates of the Caribbean seas acted better than Johnny Depp,’ claimed another.

The actor is currently working on the film Day Drinker with Penélope Cruz and Madelyn Cline.

Cline stars as the bartender on a private yacht who encounters a mysterious guest, played by Depp.

How Johnny Depp escaped being cancelled: Inside the actor’s big screen return as he unveils a striking  new look – and the unexpected way the Justin Baldoni drama has helped his cause

After Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s acrimonious split reached the bitterest of conclusions three years ago when they faced off in court, it was fair to say there was no real winner.

Heard was found to have defamed Depp with references to ‘sexual violence’ and ‘domestic abuse’ in a 2018 Washington Post column and ordered to pay her ex-husband $10million in damages.

The televised trial in 2022 turned into a circus with Heard decried by some as a conniving liar and Depp the saintly victim, while her supporters argued it was a dark day for the #MeToo movement and that it would put off other women from reporting domestic violence.

However even his most ardent fans could hardly claim that the debacle painted a wholly flattering picture of Depp. The court heard messages he’d sent to his friend Paul Bettany about Heard, including: ‘I will f**k her burnt corpse’, as well as a recording of Depp smashing up the kitchen while drunk.

This verdict also came less than two years after Depp unsuccessfully sued The Sun for calling him a ‘wife beater’ when a judge found the ‘majority’ of his alleged assaults against Heard had been ‘proved’.

But despite the drinking, drug use and toxicity laid bare in court, the actor, 61, remained the face of Dior Sauvage and rather than being cancelled, he is making a Hollywood comeback in the action thriller blockbuster Day Drinker next year.

While this can partly be put down to his enduring popularity with a loyal fan base, his cause has been helped from an unexpected quarter – the equally fraught legal drama between former co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

How Johnny Depp escaped being cancelled: Inside the actor’s big screen return as he unveils a striking  new look – and the unexpected way the Justin Baldoni drama has helped his cause

It is three years since Johnny Depp and Amber Heard (Pictured in 2015) delivered one of Hollywood’s most bitter court showdowns – but the actor has escaped being cancelled

The actor, 61, has remained the face of Dior's Sauvage fragrance campaign and is set to appear in action thriller blockbuster Day Drinker next year - and he could have Justin Baldoni to thank

When the New York Times published a bombshell report in December that Blake Lively was suing Baldoni for harassment, a key element was that the director had hired Depp’s former publicist Melissa Nathan to allegedly mastermind a smear campaign against the Gossip Girl star.

Heard spoke out in support of Lively in the wake of her explosive allegations against Baldoni, saying she too knew how it felt to be on the receiving end of a smear campaign.

In a statement to NBC News of Lively’s claims, Heard said: ‘Social media is the absolute personification of the classic saying “A lie travels halfway around the world before truth can get its boots on.”

‘I saw this firsthand and up close. It’s as horrifying as it is destructive.’

‘You know we can bury anyone,’ Nathan allegedly wrote to PR executive Jennifer Abel in text messages included in Lively’s lawsuit.

Swathes of support for Lively surfaced and, for a time, it looked as though fans were starting to rethink the Depp and Heard saga and question their support for him.

However the energy shifted as the battle between Blake and Baldoni became more complicated.

Nathan’s representatives issued a strongly-worded statement denying that there was an orchestrated campaign, insisting that negative reports about Lively had instead emerged ‘organically’ in the press.

They denied that she had anything to do with a smear campaign against either woman, telling Daily Mail: ‘TAG PR must be the most powerful group of publicists the world has ever seen for it to be able to completely change the perception of both Amber Heard and Blake Lively.

‘The only correlation between both individuals was that for decades every move they have made has been out there for everyone to see, widely filmed and documented for the public to make up their own minds – which they did, organically.’

The bitter legal battle between Baldoni and Lively has been waging ever since, and with a court hearing a year off, it shows no signs of dying down.

Lively’s reputation has come under severe fire amid a slew of negative stories, rumours of feuds with other co-stars and doubts cast on her allegations against Baldoni.

Meanwhile, despite Lively’s claims of sexual harassment, Baldoni has seen an uptick in support.

Even Baldoni’s publicist Nathan, who was accused of orchestrating the smear campaign, appeared horrified by the discourse surrounding women she had reportedly helped create.

‘The majority of socials are so pro Justin and I don’t even agree with half of them lol,’ she reportedly wrote.

She added: ‘It’s actually sad because it just shows you [how] people really want to hate on women.’

The situation was likened to Depp and Heard’s toxic televised trial, which garnered a huge social media following as people chose sides.

The court of public opinion ultimately sided with Depp, as it similarly appears to have with Baldoni.

Depp’s welcoming back into the spotlight could be due to the mirroring between the support for him and Baldoni – and the apparent demonising of Lively and Heard.

Day Drinker marks Depp’s biggest yet attempt to revive his silver screen career, with production beginning this week.

The actor sports a new look for the thriller, ditching his dark locks and facial hair for greying features, a filled out face and piercing blue contacts.

In the three years since his court case, the star has been involved in smaller movies including Jeanne du Barry, a French historical drama, and he directed the World War II drama Modi: Three Days On The Wing Of Madness.

He said in 2023: ‘I keep wondering about the word comeback because I didn’t go anywhere.

‘Maybe people stopped calling out of whatever their fear was at the time. But no, I didn’t go nowhere. I’ve been sitting around.’

Heard filed for divorce and a restraining order against Depp in May 2016, accusing Depp of being abusive throughout their relationship.

Depp fired back with a libel suit against the publisher of UK’s The Sun for calling him a ‘wife-beater,’ which he ultimately lost and his attempt to appeal was rejected.

He later filed a 2019 lawsuit against Heard for defamation for her December 2018 op-ed in The Washington Post, in which she accused him of ‘sexual abuse’ and ‘domestic violence’.

A judge found that three claims in the case were defamatory and Depp was ultimately awarded $10million in compensatory damages plus $5million in punitive damages.

However Heard counter-sued and was awarded $2 million in damages – with the court hearing during the trial that Depp sent texts during their relationship saying he would ‘drown’ and ‘burn’ her then ‘f*** the corpse’

While both parties appealed, they settled the case in December 2022.

Day Drinker marks Depp’s biggest-yet attempt to revive his silver screen career amid years of scandal in the wake of his contentious split from ex-wife Amber Heard.

Marc Webb directs and the film will also reunite him with Penelope Cruz in what will be their fourth film together.

Depp and Cruz have previously appeared in the films Blow (2001), Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011) and Murder on the Orient Express (2017).

According to IMDb, the film is about ‘an enigmatic stranger forms an unlikely bond with a grieving bartender who lost her lover, their lives intertwining in unexpected ways.’

Lionsgate exec Adam Fogelson previously told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement: ‘Day Drinker combines a highly commercial concept with wildly outrageous twists and turns all set in an incredible world, and there is no better filmmaker than Marc or two more perfectly cast actors than Johnny and Penélope to bring that world to life.’

Day Drinker marks Depp’s biggest-yet attempt to revive his silver screen career amid years of scandal in the wake of his contentious split with Amber Heard

At the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, Depp spoke about how his scandalous split from Heard impacted his show business career.

‘Did I feel boycotted by Hollywood?’ he said. ‘You’d have to not have a pulse to feel like, “No. None of this is happening. It’s a weird joke.” When you’re asked to resign from a film you’re doing because of something that is merely a function of vowels and consonants floating in the air, yes, you feel boycotted.’

Depp added, ‘I don’t feel boycotted by Hollywood, because I don’t think about Hollywood.’

In June 2022, Depp was awarded $10.35million in a verdict delivered after his legal team successfully argued that Heard’s Washington Post op-ed, in which she accused her ex-husband of domestic abuse, was defamatory.

Heard did not name Depp publicly in the piece but given their status and notoriety, it was evident who she was referencing in regard to her history of being allegedly abused.

More than 500 million people reportedly livestreamed the six-week civil defamation trial which was held at Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia in 2022.

Heard was eventually found liable in all three matters of defamation raised, while Depp was only found liable in one of three matters of defamation raised.

The jury determined that Depp’s attorney had defamed Heard with a statement he made claiming she and her friends had fabricated evidence about a fight between her and her ex-husband in 2016.

She was awarded $2 million in damages. Eventually, the former couple reached a settlement on the jury awards, and Heard was only forced to pay Depp $1 million in total.

A previous libel trial, against The Sun newspaper which had called Depp a ‘wife beater’, ended in defeat for the Pirates of the Caribbean actor in 2020.

Melrose Place star Amy Locane has opened up about her unceremonious exit from the hit show after just 13 episodes.

The disgraced actress, 53, who was released from her second prison stint in December, played Sandy Louise Harling in the show’s first season in 1992 – but abruptly left the cast afterwards amid rumors of tension and ‘diva’ behavior on set

Discussing the upcoming reboot of Melrose Place with veterans Heather Locklear, Laura Leighton and Daphne Zuniga, she said: ‘It would be very exciting to bring it back.

‘Our show was an automatic season and they sort of made the decision that I didn’t fit what they were going for after the 12 episodes had already aired. The southern accent was weird for some people. They didn’t like it. And perhaps I was a little younger than the rest of the cast.

‘A lot of people liked Sandy, but maybe I was a little too campy.’

She added she would rejoin the show ‘in a heartbeat’ despite her abrupt exit.

Then, she recalled working in the kitchen each day of the week from noon to 6 p.m. — cooking and cleaning for $5 a day.

‘It was intense manual labor, [but] I liked having some outlet, some form of exercise,’ she said.

She has been sober since 2010 and lives a low-key life with her family in New Jersey, but she said she hopes to act again one day.

She reflected on how leaving Hollywood behind in 2006 affected her life. ‘There was a void in my life because I had [acted] for so long,’ she said.

About a possible return to acting, she said: ‘I would do it in a heartbeat.’

She also mentioned the upcoming Melrose Place reboot starring Heather Locklear, Laura Leighton and Daphne Zuniga. ‘It would be very exciting to bring it back.’

Nowadays, she said she is trying to mend her relationship with her daughters, Paige 18, and Avery, 16, after being physically separated for so long.

She shares the two teenagers with liquor store owner Mark Bovenizer — whom she was married to from 2008 to 2015.

She also said she is working on getting her associate degree, which she began pursuing during her second sentence.

‘When I went away, I was getting good feedback from my professors. I learned I’m smart.’

‘I see me and my family growing old together,’ she said about her future. ‘I want to be married again. If I do meet a guy now, I don’t have to worry about [telling them], “Oh, by the way, I might have to go away for a little bit,” so that’ll be exciting.’

In addition to re-entering society, she said she continues to face the pain she caused her loved ones and the family of the woman who died.

‘To this day, I have a lot of remorse. It’s a very, very, very heavy reality to live with,’ she said. ‘Every day when I’m praying, doing daily devotionals, I try to keep her in mind.’

She later added: ‘I don’t think something that shaped you and your world so much could be something that you don’t think about. They were hard lessons, but they say [lessons] have to be hard in order for you to grow. I can’t let this define me.’

Celebrity Big Brother fans brutally compare Mickey Rourke’s appearance to Johnny Depp after he showed off his VERY taut complexion in chaotic debut

He was no doubt this year’s biggest booking with an eye-watering £500,000 payday.

And viewers were quick to compare Mickey Rourke to another Hollywood heavyweight after he made a chaotic entrance into the Celebrity Big Brother house on Monday night.

The actor, 72, showed off his taut complexion as he made his arrival during the ITV show’s live launch, immediately making headlines as host AJ Odudu told him to ‘stop looking at her.’

Mickey has previously spoken about plastic surgery he’d had in the past, mainly for facial restructuring due to injuries from boxing.

And as Mickey entered the house, sporting a new wig, some fans were quick to compare him to another Hollywood star, Johnny Depp.

    Posts included: ‘Mickey Rourke looks like a mix between David Gest and Johnny Depp;

‘Mickey Rourke… looks like Johnny Depp’s Grandad.’

In the past Mickey has been open about his changing face throughout the years, claiming to have undergone plastic surgery predominantly for facial restructuring due to injuries from boxing.

He told DailyMail.com in 2009: ‘Most of it was to mend the mess of my face after the boxing. I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together.’

Mickey continued: ‘I had my nose broken twice. I had five operations on my nose and one on a smashed cheekbone.

‘I had to have cartilage taken from my ear to rebuild my nose and a couple of operations to scrape out the cartilage because the scar tissue wasn’t healing properly,’ calling it one of the most ‘painful operations’ he’s had.

He has notoriously battled addiction – both drugs and alcohol – in the past and has taken blame for his own career decline over the years.

Mickey has also opened up about his regret over taking steroids and eating huge meals six times a day to gain weight for his role in 2008 movie, The Wrestler.

The Oscar nominee was the 13th and final housemate to enter the CBB house in Monday’s launch show.

Mickey took a long stroll to get onto the stage for his entrance, before joining the ITV show’s hosts AJ and Will Best on stage.

But his behaviour towards AJ sparked outrage, after he grabbed onto her before staring her up and down intensely, prompting the host to shout: ‘Stop looking at me.’

Mentioning the inappropriate moment on spin-off show Late and Live, comedian Alan said to AJ: ‘Can we talk about Mickey Rourke looking at you? Wow his eyes.

‘Find someone who looks at you the way Mickey looks at you [AJ]. His tongue was hanging out.’

AJ quipped back: ‘It literally was. I was like “You can’t afford these feathers Mickey, no!”‘

    Viewers were equally horrified by the display, as they took to X, formerly Twitter, to say: ‘Scared for all the women in that house now with how Mickey was with AJ on live television mind you,’;

    ‘I needed a scandal this season and i believe mickey rourke will provide it,’; ‘Oh dear. Not a fan of Mickey already after that entrance,’;

    ‘Everyone’s joking about Mickey Rouke and I get why, but I want to be serious for a second. No female TV presenter should be made to feel like AJ just did. He shouldn’t have been allowed on this show if he can’t control himself around women. I hated that ngl,’;

    ‘There’s surely no way Mickey Rourke doesn’t either walk or get booted out for being inappropriate,’;

    ‘That’s right AJ run away from Mickey as fast as you can,’; ‘Someone get some security for AJ from Mickey Rourke because what the hell was that????’;

    ‘I put money on mickey rourke getting kicked out within the next few days. How he treated AJ was totally unacceptable,’;

    ‘I don’t care if bosses are paying him £500,000, nor do I care that he’s an Oscar-winning Hollywood star. Reprimand Mickey Rourke for his slimy, inappropriate touching of AJ Odudu and remove him from the #CBBUK house immediately,’;

‘And every woman just cringed in horror at Mickey Rourke ogling AJ like that,’; ‘Watching Mickey Rourke basically harass AJ is the most uncomfortable thing I’ve seen.’

Mickey was the final housemate to enter on Monday, and he admitted he doesn’t take orders well in his VT.

He then joined a conga line with the other housemates after taking a while to actually enter the house before AJ guided him to the door in chaotic scenes.

Mickey was first to head into the prize room and viewers will have to wait and see what happens next on Tuesday’s show.

Johnny Depp is accused of pushing an ’80s icon out of one of his hit movies

Corey Feldman is still ‘bitter’ over losing a plum part in Lasse Hallström’s 1993 film What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and he put the blame entirely on Johnny Depp.

The 53-year-old eighties icon – who was emancipated by age 15 – enjoyed quite a successful streak starring in blockbusters like Gremlins (1984), The Goonies (1985), Stand by Me (1986), and The Lost Boys (1987).

Corey claimed he had already been cast as intellectually-disabled 17-year-old Arnold ‘Arnie’ Grape in the coming-of-age drama about a dysfunctional Iowa family, but the 61-year-old Oscar nominee (who played the titular role) put a stop to that.

‘I was actually cast to play Leonardo DiCaprio’s role. I never saw the film because I’m still bitter. Bitter leaf in that one. But yes, I was originally cast for that role,’ Feldman told The Magnificent Others podcast on Wednesday.

Host Billy Corgan asked: ‘Did they push you out?’

‘Johnny Depp,’ the former child star responded.

‘He was cast after I was, and apparently whispered into the producers’ ear that he wasn’t fond of me, and thought — he said that I was a junkie and that he didn’t work with junkies. And this is the first time I’ve ever [told] this story, so I’m sure I’m gonna get hung by this one.’

Corey – who was 21 at the time – had completed a 10-month rehab stint for heroin addiction one year earlier, which he blamed on alleged childhood abuse by his mother Sheila and alleged sexual abuse by Hollywood figures like agent Marty Weiss.

‘I was sober. I had just gotten sober,’ Feldman stressed.

‘I had just gotten out of rehab. I had turned my life around, and, in fact, was trying to help River [Phoenix] at the time, who [Johnny] was running with at the time, as we all know.’

Feldman continued: ‘As you can imagine, there was a bit of a thorn in the side on that one. And, had I not been pushed out and done that role, who knows what would have happened from that point forward.’

Leonardo was 18 at the time and his performance as the aquaphobic teen, who has a habit of climbing, wound up being the most decorated member of the entire cast and crew – scoring nominations for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for best supporting actor.

‘The film’s real show-stopping turn comes from Mr. DiCaprio, who makes Arnie’s many tics so startling and vivid that at first he is difficult to watch,’ New York Times film critic Janet Maslin wrote at the time.

‘The performance has a sharp, desperate intensity from beginning to end.’

Despite critical acclaim, the big-screen adaptation of Peter Hedges’ 1991 novel bombed at the box office ($10M gross after an $11M budget), but it did better on video.

The What’s Eating Gilbert Grape ensemble cast also included Juliette Lewis, Mary Steenburgen, John C. Reilly, Crispin Glover, Laura Harrington, Mary Kate Schellhardt, and Darlene Cates.

Instead, Corey played a young cop in National Lampoon’s Loaded Weapon 1 and reprised his voiceover role as Donatello in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III in 1993.

‘There was a bitter tea there, but that said, you don’t hang on those, you get past them,’ Feldman remarked.

‘Ironically, just a couple years later, I also was up for Titanic, so there was kind of a double banger with Leo. But that was okay, because that one I wasn’t as close. I was up for it, I read for it, I know that I was in the contention somewhere.’

Years later, the Without U singer auditioned for his former castmate Sean Astin’s role of Samwise Gamgee in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

‘I heard I got pretty close on that as well,’ Corey claimed.

‘Although I couldn’t have gained the weight, so I’ll give him that. He did a great job aesthetically being able to add that weight. It’s something I cannot physically do.’

Feldman’s last onscreen gig was being the Seal in the 11th season of Fox celebrity singing competition The Masked Singer a year ago where he made it nine episodes before being eliminated.

In 2018, the Going Viral actor denied a slew of sexual harassment accusations from his former Corey’s Angels band members Jacqueline Von Rueden, Poeina Suddarth, Margot Lane, Chantal Knippenburg, Amy Clark, Mara Moon, Jezebel Sweet, and Krystal Khali.

The evening featured dazzling performances by Bruce Springsteen, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Michael Stipe of R.E.M., and many more.

They grew close after her own sibling passed away and the Pirates of the Caribbean star inspired her song Nine from her 2012 LP Banga.

She told The Sun at the time: ‘I met Johnny about five years ago. He and Vanessa (Paradis, his then-wife) and their daughter came to my concert in Los Angeles and said hello backstage.

‘We just really hit it off. I lost my brother and really mourned him, and it felt like he sent Johnny Depp to be my new brother.’

At a playback of the album, Smith shared: ‘I went to visit him [Depp] in Puerto Rico when he was filming Rum Diary. It was his birthday, and I didn’t have a present, so I wrote him a song.’

Hollywood stars Scarlett Johansson, Michael Shannon, and Sean Penn also took part by reading some of Smith’s poetry.

The magical night culminated with a performance of People Have the Power, which saw Smith join the majority of the night’s performers onstage.

All proceeds from the star-studded event will help fund music education for underprivileged youth.

The iconic singer played down the incident as she took to Instagram with a beaming snap to assure fans she was ‘fine’ despite a second show at the venue being cancelled at the time.

Patti explained that she’d felt ill in the aftermath of a migraine which resulted in ‘dizziness’ and was examined by a doctor before retuning to stage in the wheelchair.

She penned: ‘This is letting everyone know that I am fine. Had a small incident, left the stage, and returned 10 minutes later and talked to the people, told them I was fine and sang them Wing and Because The Night’.

‘I was checked out by an excellent Doctor and was absolutely fine.

Before adding: ‘With all the strife in the world, this explainable incident does not merit so much attention. Thank you everyone for your concern. Trust me I am fine.(sic)’.

But despite Patti’s reassurance about her health, a second show was cancelled on medical advice so that the Because the Night hitmaker could get back to ‘her best’.

Soundwalk Collective wrote on their Instagram Story: ‘Dear friends it is with much sadness that we have decided to cancel tonight’s performance at Teatro Cultura Artistica.

‘Patti is now recovering strongly but our caring doctors say she needs a little more time to be at her best.

‘We can’t be thankful enough for your continuous love, support and understanding, and for all the messages and wishes of swift recovery that we have received.

‘We can’t wait to be back in Sao Paolo as soon as possible. With love, Soundwalk Collective and Patti Smith.’

Reports at the time suggested the Gloria singer had fallen around 30 minutes into the performance and remained on the ground for several minutes before receiving assistance.

Video footage posted on social media showed Patti later returning to the stage in a wheelchair and apologising to the crowd.

She told the audience: ‘You’ve been so patient and unfortunately I got sick and the doctor said I can’t finish so we will have to figure something. I feel very badly.’

The audience responded in English: ‘Don’t be! We love you!’

Cultura Artística Theater, a small concert hall in downtown Sao Paulo, said the artist had been experiencing a severe migraine in recent days and felt dizzy on stage during her performance.

‘She’s being attended to by the best doctors and our team,’ the theater said in a statement on Instagram. Cultura Artística did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Patti had been in Sao Paulo for a two-day presentation of the ‘Correspondences’ project with the Berlin-based group Soundwalk Collective.

During the performance, she recited some of her writings alongside musicians.

Soundwalk Collective said that Smith had suffered from an intense migraine for the past couple of days.

But she ‘still wanted to be there for all of us and you and perform, the group posted a statement, signed by them and Smith, to their Instagram stories.

Actress Ayo Edebiri has revealed she received death threats and was subjected to racial slurs after Elon Musk gave oxygen to a rumor erroneously claiming she was being considered as a replacement for Johnny Depp in a Pirates of the Caribbean sequel.

On Tuesday, Edebiri – who received a Golden Globe for her role in The Bear – slammed Musk, 53, for re-tweeting an inaccurate report that led to her being targeted by trolls.

‘Disney sucks,’ the controversial businessman turned political figure, who currently has over 216 million X followers, wrote in response to the article.

The post generated loads of engagement ever since Musk first shared it back in February 2024, garnering over 16,000 comments, 28,000 re-shares and 22 million eyeballs on it.

Edebiri, 29, said of the incident on her Instagram Stories: ‘Just remembering when I got some of the most insane death threats and racial slurs of my life (idk if it’s the #1 moment, but for sure top 3) for a fake reboot of a movie I had never even heard of because of this man LMAO so not only is he double s** h**ling fascist, he’s an idiot (smiling hearts emoji). but anyway.’

She added at the bottom: ‘Life is, of course, a gift,’ along with a hearts-hand emoji.

While the original tweet that Musk re-posted has been taken down, Musk’s message accompanying the tweet remains.

The account holder behind the original tweet, Unlimited_L, defended the post after being called out by Ayo and claimed it was deleted on accident.

‘These people are completely unhinged. Ayo Edebiri waited over a year to address rumors and credible reports circulating in Hollywood from trustworthy sources,’ he claimed. ‘And, of course, she attacks Elon Musk. By the way, this post was deleted by mistake after I decided to clean up my timeline and present a more professional image.’

Edebiri is currently enjoying massive success in Hollywood, particularly in light of her role in the smash Hulu series The Bear.

She has been playing Sydney Adamu opposite Jeremy Allen White since 2022 and has garnered critical acclaim for her role.

Edebiri has won a Critics Choice Award, a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award and more for the role.

She made her directorial debut on the show, helming the season six episode entitled Napkins.

They say it’s not what you know, but who you know, and family connections are often what really count.

But nepo babies Lily-Rose Depp and Iris Law proved they can hold their own as they led the celebrity offspring storming Paris Fashion Week this January as they follow in the footsteps of their famous parents.

The stunners have managed to secure themselves some of the hottest tickets in the French capital as they joined A-Listers sitting front row at the Chanel, Saint Laurent and Valentino shows.

And they weren’t the only nepo babies sitting front and centre at all the shows.

Now MailOnline take a look at the famous youngsters taking over Paris during the city’s legendary fashion week.

    Lily-Rose Depp

Lily-Rose Depp was actually joined by her mother Vanessa Paradis for the glitzy Chanel show for Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday.

The actress, 25, whose father is Hollywood star Johnny Depp, oozed sophistication as she posed for snaps in a black and white boucle Chanel co-ord with silver embellished detail.

She completed the look with sheer tights and silver heels, while later hiding her eyes behind dark shades.

Meanwhile Vanessa, 52, turned heads as she arrived in a colourful feather coat, teamed with black trousers and heeled boots.

The outing comes after Lily insisted she will work ‘ten times harder’ to ‘prove herself’ and make her own way despite having famous parents

‘I don’t mind working harder if that’s what people want from me to prove myself,’ she said. ‘I love what I do, it’s the only thing I know how to do. So I feel like I have to do this.

‘And if that means working ten times harder, then that’s okay. I am not ashamed, my parents are such talented performers. I am blessed to be their daughter and watch them go about their careers.’

She paired the suit with a striped white shirt and a navy blue polka dot tie as she posed for photos at the show held at Bourse de Commerce Pinault Collection.

To finish off the look, Iris added inches to her frame with pointed black heels and accessorised with a stack of chunky gold bangles and hoop earrings.

Iris is the daughter of Hollywood actor Jude Law and his ex-wife Sadie Frost and has followed in her parents footsteps by acting and modelling.

She looked in good spirits at the show as she sat next to rapper Rauw Alejandro on the front row.

    Lourdes Leon

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon, 28, made sure to command attention at Saint Laurent’s show at the Bourse de Commerce Pinault Collection on Tuesday as she dressed in a see-through cat suit.

Though she made some attempt at covering her modesty with a leather trench coat, her front half was totally exposed except for a black thong.

Lourdes, 26, who was gunning to play her mother in the singer’s upcoming biopic, but lacked the acting experience needed to take on the Material Girl, posed for photos at the coveted event.

She seemed in her element as she took a seat on the front row alongside Iris Law and rapper Rauw Alejandro.

Madonna had her first child Lourdes with then-partner Carlos Leon – an actor and personal trainer.

Lourdes was born in Los Angeles and Madonna’s 1998 song Little Star, on Grammy Award-winning album Ray Of Light, was written about her young daughter.

She has followed her mother into the entertainment industry, and has worked as a model, dancer and singer, but chose to stay away from the latter in the end as it felt ‘too close to home.’

The 19-year-old – whose full name is Henry Günther Ademola Dashtu Samuel – made his big modelling debut at Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday.

He confidently walked the runway at the Lena Erziak Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 show at Hotel le Marois.

Henry’s entry into the modelling world drew a strong reaction online, with some naysayers branding the genetically-blessed teen a ‘nepo’ baby.

‘Funny how all these celebrities kids just get stuff handed to them! It’s such a joke! Others have to work for it,’ complained one.

‘All grown up and very handsome,’ gushed another, while a third added, ‘Looks just like his mom and dad!’

It came as no surprise that Tali Lennox was rubbing shoulders with the stars at the Valentino runway show during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday.

Tali turned heads at the event in a long yellow lace ruffled dress and wore her dark tresses in two braids falling down to her knees.

While her mother Annie Lennox is a popstar and her father Uri Fruchtmann a filmmaker, it’s not a career path she has decided to follow, instead she pursed becoming a model and artist.

Tali made her modeling debut at age 17 and has modelled for various fashion houses including Acne Studios, Christopher Kane, Prada and Miu Miu.

Despite having a close relationship with her famous parents, she has been taking on the Haute Couture Fashion Week on her own, mingling with Elton John and his husband David Furnish.

Earl Cave put on an edgy display as he attended the Saint Laurent menswear show during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday.

The son of Bad Seeds singer Nick Cave showed off his sense of style in an oversized blazer for the event.

He teamed it with a grey shirt and a pair of loose fitting pinstriped trousers, accessories with a beaded necklace.

Posing for photos ahead of the show at La Bourse de Commerce, Earl, 24, later added a pair of aviator sunglasses.

Nick shares Earl, with his wife Susie, and also has another son, Luke, with his first wife Viviane Carneiro.

Earl’s twin brother Arthur died in 2015, aged 15, after taking LSD for the first time, before falling almost 20 metres from a cliff near his home in Brighton, England.

  • Justin Baldoni ‘absolutely’ plans to sue Blake Lively ‘soon’ after she accused him of sexual harassment

Justin Baldoni ‘absolutely’ plans to sue Blake Lively ‘soon’ after she accused him of sexual harassment

Justin Baldoni ‘absolutely’ plans to sue Blake Lively back amid their spiraling legal battle, his attorney announced this Thursday.

She first sued on December 20, accusing Baldoni of sexually harassing her and fostering a toxic work environment on the set of their film It Ends With Us, in which he both directed her and acted with her. He has staunchly denied the allegations.

In the first complaint, she also claimed Baldoni worked to tarnish her reputation with a team including his publicist Jennifer Abel and crisis PR Melissa Nathan, who previously worked with Johnny Depp. Abel has denied waging a ‘smear campaign.’

The 37-year-old then launched more formal complaint on New Year’s Eve, doubling down on her accusations from the previous legal action. Lively filed her first complaint last month with the California Civil Rights Commission, but is now suing Baldoni in federal court in New York.

Her New Year’s Eve filing came on the same day Baldoni initiated a $250M libel action against the New York Times for its bombshell report on Lively’s first complaint.

Now Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman has revealed the actor intends to file suit against Lively herself, telling NBC: ‘We plan to release every single text messages between the two of them [sic]. We want the truth to be out there.’

A source with knowledge of the case claimed that Baldoni’s lawsuit against Lively will be launched ‘soon’, according to People.

Justin Baldoni ‘absolutely’ plans to sue Blake Lively ‘soon’ after she accused him of sexual harassment

In the first suit, she accused him of sexually harassing her and fostering a toxic work environment on the set of their movie It Ends With Us

Blake Lively has now filed a second lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, less than two weeks after her previous legal complaint against him went public

Lively’s lawsuits include alleged screen-grabs of text messages by Baldoni, Abel and Nathan, supposedly showing a PR takedown of the actress being planned.

Freedman has previously slammed the ‘leaked personal text exchanges’ for lacking ‘critical context,’ and now he has said on television that he and his client mean to publish all texts between Lively and Baldoni.

One example is a purported screen-grab of a conversation between Lively and Baldoni, in which she allegedly informs him she is pumping breast milk in her trailer and then invites him there to work with her.

Lively allegedly texts Baldoni: ‘I’m just pumping in my trailer if you wanna work out our lines,’ and he replies: ‘copy,’ adding: ‘Eating with crew and will head that way.’

Freedman says the image contradicts Lively’s allegation that Baldoni would enter her trailer ‘uninvited while she was undressed, including while she was breastfeeding.’

During his TV appearance Thursday, Freedman said Baldoni ‘absolutely’ intends to sue Lively, adding: ‘We plan to release every single text messages between the two of them. We want the truth to be out there. We want the documents to be out there. We want people to make their determination based on receipts.’

Launched on New Year’s Eve, Lively’s latest lawsuit is a more formal proceeding which targets Baldoni, Abel and Nathan as defendants, as well as Baldoni’s production company Wayfarer Studios.

In her latest legal action, Lively is demanding both ‘punitive’ and ‘compensatory’ damages and a jury trial, accusing the defendants of causing her ‘mental pain and anguish,’ as well as ‘severe and serious emotional distress’ and ‘lost wages.’

Lively’s attorneys gave a statement to DailyMail.com alleging their client has been subject to ‘further retaliation and attacks’ since she made the ‘decision to speak out’ about her allegations against Baldoni.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Nathan, Abel and Wayfarer Studios, as well as representatives for Baldoni for comment.

In her new lawsuit, Lively demands both ‘punitive damages’ as well as ‘a money judgement representing compensatory damages, lost wages, earning, and all other sums of money,’ plus ‘interest’ on the above ‘in an amount to be proven at trial.’

She also wants ‘an award of money judgment for mental pain and anguish and severe and serious emotional distress, in an amount to be proven at trial.’

Her lawyers provided a statement to DailyMail.com Tuesday, saying: ‘Earlier today, Ms. Lively filed a federal complaint against Wayfarer Studios and others in the Southern District of New York.

‘Ms. Lively previously sent her California Civil Rights Department Complaint in response to the retaliatory campaign Wayfarer launched against her for reporting sexual harassment and workplace safety concerns. Unfortunately, Ms. Lively’s decision to speak out has resulted in further retaliation and attacks.’

Lively’s attorneys continued: ‘As alleged in Ms. Lively’s federal Complaint, Wayfarer and its associates have violated federal and California state law by retaliating against her for reporting sexual harassment and workplace safety concerns. Now, the defendants will answer for their conduct in federal court.’

They added: ‘Ms. Lively has brought this litigation in New York, where much of the relevant activities described in the Complaint took place, but we reserve the right to pursue further action in other venues and jurisdictions as appropriate under the law.’

On New Year’s Eve, the day Lively filed her second lawsuit against Baldoni, he initiated a $250 million libel action against the New York Times, which broke the news of Lively’s first complaint earlier this month.

In a statement, the New York Times stood by its reporting and denied the allegations. It said it plans to ‘vigorously defend against the lawsuit’.

Since news of Lively’s first lawsuit broke, Baldoni’s career has imploded, as he was dropped by his agency William Morris Endeavor.

Liz Plank, one of the co-hosts of Baldoni’s Man Enough podcast that billed itself as a space for ‘positive masculinity,’ announced she was quitting the show.

In the run-up to the movie's August 9 release, rumors began swirling of a rift between Lively and Baldoni, who are pictured in the movie

Lively, who is married to Deadpool lead Ryan Reynolds and who is close friends with pop superstar Taylor Swift, has seen former colleagues rally around her.

Her It Ends With Us co-stars Brandon Sklenar and Jenny Slate have spoken out to support her, as has Colleen Hoover, author of the novel on which the film is based.

Lively’s first lawsuit contained a raft of accusations against Baldoni, whom she says showed her nude images and videos of other women, ‘improvised physical intimacy’ during a scene without prior discussion, entered her trailer while she was ‘nude’ and allowed his ‘friends’ to watch her filming sex scenes.

In legal documents from the first complaint, Lively’s team claimed an ‘all hands’ meeting was held on January 4 of this year, purportedly ‘to address the hostile work environment that had nearly derailed production of the Film.’

The meeting is said to have included both Baldoni and Jamey Heath, the CEO of Wayfarer Studios and a producer on It Ends With Us.

Attendees allegedly discussed supposed ‘inappropriate conduct’ by Baldoni and Heath, and at the end of the meeting, ‘all parties present agreed that the outlined conduct would cease,’ per Lively’s first lawsuit.

In the run-up to the movie’s August 9 release, rumors began swirling of a rift between Lively and Baldoni – and Lively now claims that around this time, Nathan and Abel worked for Baldoni on a targeted strategy to vilify her.

During the run-up to the release of It Ends With Us, Lively repeatedly went viral as social media users slammed her ‘mean girl’ behavior in interviews – a trend she now insists was the result of an ‘astroturfing’ campaign waged by Baldoni’s PR team.

Lively’s first complaint included purported screen-grabs of text messages, many of them between Nathan and Abel, allegedly showing the PR takedown being planned.

One exchange, obtained by subpoena, showed Abel allegedly saying that Baldoni ‘wants to feel like she [Lively] can be buried.’

Nathan supposedly replied: ‘Of course – but you know when we send over documents we can’t send over the work we will or could do because that could get us in a lot of trouble,’ adding, ‘We can’t write we will destroy her.’

She allegedly also texted Abel:  ‘Imagine if a document saying all the things that he wants ends up in the wrong hands. You know we can bury anyone but I can’t write that to him. I will be very tough.’

In Lively’s first suit, she also submitted an alleged text that Baldoni purportedly sent Abel – a screenshot of an X thread about bullying allegations against Hailey Bieber, along with the message: ‘This is what we would need.’

There is no suggestion that Bieber was in any way involved or associated with the alleged smear campaign against Lively.

In her new lawsuit filed New Year’s Eve, Lively doubles down on her claims about the all-hands meeting and the subsequent alleged smear campaign.

Along with her claims of sexual harassment, Lively’s first complaint accused Baldoni of ‘other behaviors that were shocking and emotionally distressing.’

Lively, who is married to Deadpool lead Ryan Reynolds (right) and who is close friends with pop superstar Taylor Swift, has seen former colleagues rally around her

One example was her allegation that he insisted he could speak to the dead and had communicated with her late father Ernie Lively.

‘It was off putting and violative for Ms. Baldoni [sic] to claim a personal relationship with her recently deceased father,’ that lawsuit stated.

Ernie Lively, an actor and acting coach, died of cardiac complications aged 74 in June 2021, less than two years before principal photography began on It Ends With Us.

Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman responded to Lively’s first lawsuit by calling her claims ‘false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt’.

He argued that Lively’s suit was a gambit to ‘fix her negative reputation’ after rumors spread that she had been difficult to work with during the making of the film.

This included her allegedly ‘threatening to not show up to set [and] threatening to not promote the film, ultimately leading to its demise during release,’ Freedman asserted.

Jack, who is rarely seen in the public, was spotted the next day – on Christmas – holding on to multiple shopping bags filled with gifts as he headed to his family’s residence.

The reclusive star had been working in secret a at trendy Lebanese restaurant called L’Area in the Bastille quarter of Paris as a bartender.

His sighting comes weeks after his sister Lily-Rose Depp’s film Nosferatu was released to critical acclaim.

In mid-December, Lily-Rose made a rare comment about brother Jack while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon – while she was promoting her movie Nosferatu.

Lily-Rose and Jack were both born in France, as mother Vanessa hails from there.

Lily-Rose was born in 1999 and Jack, born John Christopher III, was born in 2002.

Vanessa and Johnny were together from 1998 until 2012.

In mid-December, Lily-Rose made a rare comment about brother Jack while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon during her promotional tour for Nosferatu.

Lily-Rose didn’t say anything about her brother’s job, but did reveal why her film Nosferatu had a special connection to her brother.

Jimmy asked her how familiar she was with the story of Dracula.

She said: ‘I was always a fan of the Dracula tale.’

Adding: ‘My brother and I were obsessed with Abbott and Costello as kids, and, you know, they have a whole, like, Meet the Monsters’ series.’

‘We particularly were drawn to the “Meet Dracula” one, the Bela Lugosi,’ she said, admitting they were both quite young.

‘And my brother was, like, three or four at the time, and he started dressing up like Dracula, and doing these kind of, like, really serious line readings of the lines,’ she said.

Depp admitted, ‘So, in a way, I grew up as, like, older sister to Dracula,’ admitting her new Nosferatu role is, ‘totally full circle’ for her.

‘When I heard that, you know, when I got the opportunity to audition for this movie, I thought, like, you know, “How full circle, and maybe I’ll get some cool points with my bro,”‘ she said of Jack.

Jack had been working at L’Arena for a few years before leaving the restaurant a few months ago, although he’s expected to return.

L’Arena owner Edouard Chueke told Daily Mail that he expected Jack to return sometime later next year.

‘Jack is a great guy; he keeps out of the limelight, but worked here behind the bar and in the kitchen,’ Chueke said of his employee.

‘He was a good employee, he left a few months ago but I expect him back later next year. Good staff are hard to find,’ he added.

  • Blake Lively’s reason for bringing Ryan Reynolds to ‘sexual harassment meeting’ with Justin Baldoni revealed

Blake Lively’s reason for bringing Ryan Reynolds to ‘sexual harassment meeting’ with Justin Baldoni revealed

Blake Lively’s reason for bringing Ryan Reynolds to her supposed sexual harassment meeting with Justin Baldoni has been disclosed, in her bombshell new lawsuit.

She first sued on December 20, accusing Baldoni of sexually harassing her and fostering a toxic work environment on the set of their film It Ends With Us, in which he both directed her and acted with her. He has staunchly denied the allegations.

Lively then launched more formal complaint on New Year’s Eve, doubling down on her claims from the previous legal action.

In the first filing, Lively alleged a meeting was held last January 4 ‘to address the hostile work environment that had nearly derailed production of the Film.’

The ‘all hands’ meeting is said to have included both Baldoni and Jamey Heath, the CEO of Baldoni’s production company Wayfarer Studios and a producer on It Ends With Us. Lively accused both men of engaging in ‘inappropriate conduct’ on set.

According to her lawsuits, Lively brought Reynolds to the supposed meeting – and in this week’s new filing, she shed light on why.

Her account of the January 4 meeting runs strikingly counter to the version presented by Baldoni, in his own $250M libel lawsuit against the New York Times for its report on Lively’s initial legal action.

‘Ms. Lively also had the agreed upon right to have a representative present,’ the New Year’s Eve lawsuit maintains.

‘She chose her husband, given that the meeting was about repeated sexual harassment and other disturbing behavior by Mr. Baldoni and Mr. Heath.’

Married for over a decade, Reynolds and Lively have emerged as one of Hollywood’s foremost power couples and share four children – James, 10, Inez, eight, Betty, five, and Olin, one.

Baldoni provided a notably different recollection of the January 4 meeting in his own lawsuit, which was also filed New Year’s Eve.

In Baldoni’s version of events, Lively and Reynolds are accused of ‘bullying’ him during a fraught confrontation at the couple’s New York penthouse.

According to Baldoni, Reynolds ‘berated’ him at the meeting and ‘aggressively’ accused him of a litany of affronts against Lively such as ‘fat shaming’ her.

In his lawsuit, Baldonisays he was invited to the couple’s penthouse on the evening of January 4 along with a Sony representative and other producers of It Ends With Us.

‘They arrived eager to discuss plans for the next day’s filming, prepared with their production materials. Instead, they were blindsided by Lively and Reynolds, who presented a list of grievances that were both unanticipated and troubling,’ Baldoni’s legal filing claims.

‘Reynolds launched into a tirade, berating Baldoni in what Baldoni later described as a “traumatic” encounter, stating he had “never been spoken to like that in his life.”‘

Reynolds, a major Hollywood A-lister who starred in last summer’s box office juggernaut Deadpool & Wolverine, demanded that Baldoni apologize to Lively ‘for actions that were mischaracterized and demonstrably false,’ per Baldoni’s lawsuit.

‘When Baldoni resisted apologizing for what he had not done, Reynolds became further enraged. Everyone, including the producer Lively had asked production to engage and a representative of Sony that was in attendance, left that “meeting” in shock. The producer offered that in his 40-year career he had never seen anyone speak to someone like that.’

Baldoni alleges that that Lively and Reynolds then used their ‘power and influence’ against him, in an attempt at ‘destroying Baldoni’s career and personal life.’

In her initial complaint, Lively claimed Baldoni strove to tarnish her reputation with a team including his publicist Jennifer Abel and crisis PR Melissa Nathan, who previously worked with Johnny Depp. Abel has denied waging a ‘smear campaign.’

The actress submitted her December 20 complaint to the California Civil Rights Commission, but is now also suing Baldoni in federal court in New York.

She filed the New York suit on New Year’s Eve – the same day Baldoni initiated a $250M libel action against the New York Times for its report on her first complaint.

Lively’s second lawsuit targets Baldoni, Abel and Nathan as defendants, as well as Baldoni’s production company Wayfarer Studios.

In her latest legal filing, Lively is demanding both ‘punitive’ and ‘compensatory’ damages and a jury trial, accusing the defendants of causing her ‘mental pain and anguish,’ as well as ‘severe and serious emotional distress’ and ‘lost wages.’

Lively’s attorneys gave a statement to DailyMail.com on Tuesday alleging their client has been subject to ‘further retaliation and attacks’ since she made the ‘decision to speak out’ about her allegations against Baldoni.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Nathan, Abel and Wayfarer Studios, as well as representatives for Baldoni for comment.

In her new lawsuit, Lively demands ‘punitive damages’ as well as ‘a money judgement representing compensatory damages, lost wages, earning, and all other sums of money,’ plus ‘interest’ on the above ‘in an amount to be proven at trial.’

Lively, who is close friends with pop superstar Taylor Swift, has seen former colleagues rally around her amid her high-profile legal battle.

Blake Lively has now filed a second lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, less than two weeks after her previous legal complaint against him went public

Lively first sued on December 20, accusing Baldoni of sexually harassing her and fostering a toxic work environment on the set of their film It Ends With Us

Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose reveals the downsides of fame ahead of the release of her new film Nosferatu

Lily-Rose Depp has revealed why she doesn’t want to become part of the Hollywood scene as she discussed the downsides of fame.

The French-American actress, 25, told Entertainment Network on Sunday, she wants to maintain privacy in her life.

The daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis explained how every job has its own ‘set of circumstances’ and fame is the downside of acting.

‘People are interested in things that they shouldn’t necessarily be interested in,’ she began.

‘And the job of an actor is to go into a character, melt into it and make the audience believe you are this character.’

‘In order to do that, it’s important to protect a sense of anonymity – they’re not supposed to get to know “you” that well, because you want them to believe you as other characters.’

Lily-Rose Depp has revealed why she doesn’t want to become part of the Hollywood scene as she discussed the downsides of fame

It comes as Lily-Rose’s new film Nosferatu is set to be released in Australia on New Year’s Day.

Nosferatu — which has been getting rave early reviews — is a haunting remake of the 1922 silent classic, which was loosely based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

In this new version, Bill Skarsgard takes on the role of the bloodthirsty Count Orlok, with Lily-Rose playing Ellen Hutter, the object of his sinister obsession.

In addition to Depp and Skarsgard, Nosferatu features a talented ensemble cast that includes Nicholas Hoult as Thomas Hutter, Ellen’s husband, and Willem Dafoe as Professor Albin Eberhart Von Franz, a vampire hunter.

The film also stars Emma Corrin as Anna Harding, the wife of Thomas’s friend Friedrich, portrayed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Early reviews are already raving, calling the film ‘hypnotic,’ ‘devilish,’ and ‘the scariest movie since The Shining,’ as the movie posted a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Every aspect of the project is getting rave reviews, but it’s the daughter of Johnny Depp who’s really stealing the spotlight with her performance.

‘The film belongs to Lily-Rose Depp, whose performance is a revelation,’ declared The Hollywood Reporter, as Collider called it ‘one of the year’s best performances.’

‘Her scenes with Bill Skarsgard are electric,’ continued THR’s David Rooney. ‘Depp gives Ellen’s delirium a tragic gravity, deepening once she acknowledges the mystical forces within her that sparked the vampire’s obsession.

‘She can switch in an instant from weak and vulnerable to demonic, and the stylized physicality of her seizures is breathtaking.’

Fans agreed, with one posting, ‘Skarsgard is transformative, and Depp is a revelation. One of 2024s best!”

Amber Heard has spoken out about Blake Lively’s allegations her co-star Justin Baldoni launched a smear campaign against her, saying it is something she saw ‘firsthand’.

Heard, 38, addressed the situation with the It Ends With Us leads after it emerged that Baldoni, 40, hired the same crisis management team as Heard’s ex-husband Johnny Depp during their defamation trial.

Lively, 37, has filed a legal complaint against Baldoni over allegations of sexual harassment, fostering a hostile work environment and trying to tarnish her reputation.

The filings state that Baldoni retained powerhouse PR manager Melissa Nathan, who also represented Depp during the defamation trial in which he was awarded $15 million after a jury found that Heard had defamed him.

Heard countersued and was awarded $2 million in compensation as part of the high profile proceedings which saw her tumultuous relationship with Depp, 61, publicly dissected.

‘Social media is the absolute personification of the classic saying “A lie travels halfway around the world before truth can get its boots on.”, Heard told NBC news.

‘I saw this firsthand and up close. It’s as horrifying as it is destructive.’

Lively presented her former co-star and director with a legal  documents over the weekend.

The filings contain dozens of messages between Nathan and Baldoni’s publicist Jennifer Abel in which they appear to discuss a strategy to boost their client’s profile, while relishing in bad press Lively received.

This included articles accusing Lively of a ‘tone deaf’ approach to the movie’s themes of domestic abuse after she failed to mention the issue during several interviews.

The actress reportedly want to market the film as a more uplifting and inspiring tale, compared to Baldoni who felt domestic abuse should be at the forefront of the promotional run.

Around the time of these articles, Lively’s old interviews also began to resurface which saw her branded rude and a ‘mean girl’ over the apparently dismissive way she responded to questions.

Among them was an awkward encounter with journalist Kjersti Flaa during which a visibly pregnant Lively appeared to take offense at Flaa referencing her baby bump.

She claimed Baldoni made inappropriate inquiries about her weight, comments about her dead father as well as sexual remarks about the cast and crew.
