Jade Thirlwall splashes out on six-bed south London pad with an eye-watering price tag after admitting she ‘sold her soul’ to start her career

Jade Thirlwall said this week that she ‘sold her soul’ for fame by competing on The X-Factor, but there’s no doubt her career with Little Mix has been highly lucrative.

So much so, the singer, 32, who made a splash with her solo performance at the Brit Awards, has bought a house in Blackheath, South London, for nearly £3million.

Jade paid £2.85million for the six-bedroom property, where she lives with her boyfriend Jordan Stephens, 33, frontman of hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks.

He said this week that he was content for her to be richer than him. Jordan admitted: ‘My girlfriend earns more money than me.

‘She’s super-successful and I f****g love it. To some people, it’s emasculating, but I don’t know what their ideas are which I find hilarious.’

Jade, shot to fame in 2011 when she appeared on The X-Factor and was placed into girl group Little Mix alongside Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

Under Simon’s guise, the group won the coveted singing competition and went on to release huge hits, such as Wings, Black Magic and Shout Out To My Ex, across a decade span.

And she said that she felt she ‘sold her soul’ as she felt she signed up to join industry at a young age.

Speaking on an upcoming episode of BBC’s The Assembly – in which all questions are asked by neurodivergent individuals – she was asked whether she felt as if she had ‘sold her soul’.

She replied: ‘You’ve trumped me. Maybe a little bit in the beginning. I was so young and I just signed on the dotted line.

‘But as the years have gone by I’ve learned more and more about the industry.

‘I’ve been collecting — a bit like [Marvel superhero] Thanos with the stones — I’ve been collecting parts of my soul back as I’ve gained more creative freedom.’

The ‘IT Girl’ hitmaker also admitted she is not entirely sure that music mogul Simon Cowell – who created The X Factor and the Got Talent franchises – is going anywhere.

She said: ‘I think it’s the end of that kind of TV show or music label. I think it’s the end of that era. But I don’t know if Simon Cowell specifically has ended.’

It was suggested previously that the lyric ‘sold my soul to a psycho’ from her ‘Angel of my Dreams’ track was a dig at Simon but Jade later clarified in an interview that that was not necessarily the case.

She told Beat magazine: ‘It’s not specifically about that. But I wanted the song to be my journey, from entering the music business to now, and what that’s felt like. That’s why the song feels so chaotic.

‘The opening is like the music to that montage bit on ‘The X Factor’ after you’ve won, and you’re just catapulted into the industry.’

She added: ‘I don’t want to sit here and bash the last 13 years of my life. I’m very happy and content. But like with any job, there are highs and lows.

‘That’s just life, and it’s my reality, but it’s about writing it in a way that’s not woe is me.’

She also recently opened up on her feelings surrounding Little Mix’s hiatus and embarking on her solo career, as she admitted it took her a moment to get used to going it alone.

She launched her solo career last summer with her debut single, Angel of My Dreams, reaching the top 10 in the UK and recently won Best Pop Act at this year’s BRIT Awards.

Jade is now currently working on her first solo album since she and her Little Mix announced a hiatus in 2022.

But despite her success, Jade admitted the foodie podcast, Dish from Waitrose, that she’d had to work hard to learn to stand on her own and start appreciating being able to make her own decisions for the first time.

Speaking to hosts Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, she admitted that she didn’t feel a sense of freedom after the group’s split ‘at first’, because she’d loved being in the band and it felt like being in a relationship that suddenly ended.

Jade candidly confessed she’d been ‘so conditioned’ to having decisions made for her that she had to ‘get used to existing on my own’.

She explained: ‘Well, we did our last show in 2022? I remember the night after the show I went home back to my flat, and then the next day I woke up and I looked at my diary, and for like the first time in eleven years, there was nothing in it.

‘And the spiral that I had because I was like, what? My life had been planned out for me for years in advance sometimes.’

She continued: ‘I think because I was so used to that being my life, and I was so conditioned to being told where I’m going when and all that stuff.

‘And it’s hard, isn’t it, because when you love it as well, like we didn’t go on a break because we hated each other. We just always said that we’d take a break when it was still on a high. We were doing really well. We still adored each other.

‘So it was the right time to do it. But it did feel like I was like, in a relationship and it just, stops. We just weren’t together anymore.

‘So I really had to get used to existing on my own, and then be like, “okay well what do I want to do? What music choices do I wanna make? Who am I on my own?”‘

Jade explained that as she began handpicking her team and writing music about her own personal experiences, she began to feel that sense of freedom at last.

The female celebrities out earning their male partners by MILLIONS after Jade Thirlwall’s boyfriend Jordan Stephens insists he ‘loves’ how the Little Mix star is more successful than him ‘she’s my superstar’

She might be the final member of Little Mix to release her solo music.

However Jade Thirwall’s career is continuing to go from strength to strength following her successful night at the BRIT Award’s last month.

And while the singer has millions of fans, her biggest supporter is her boyfriend Jordan Stephens who hasn’t held back in his admiration for the star and has been very vocal in the fact he has no issue with the fact she earns more than him.

Speaking recently on Paul C Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast Jordan said: ‘My girlfriend earns more money than me. She’s super successful and I f****g love it.’

Explaining how some people, most likely men, struggle with the concept he continued: ‘To some people it’s emasculating, but I don’t know what their ideas are which I find hilarious.

‘But it’s reflected in the fact that when I talk positive about Jade’s career, they get shared loads and it means a lot.

‘I have actually had a lot of personal texts from people who have been in situations where their partner, usually male partner, has struggled with their success or they feel emasculated by their success.

‘Whereas for me she is my superstar, and I am her superstar.’

In July 2024 Jade’s net worth was estimated to be around £18million after the release of her first single Angel Of My Dreams.

Since then the star has gone onto release follow up singles Fantasy, IT Girl, FUFN and Midnight Cowboy and is scheduled to play slots at numerous festivals over the summer including Glastonbury.

Meanwhile Jordan, who is one half of music duo Rizzle Kicks, has a net worth estimation of just £4million in comparison.

Yet they aren’t the only celebrity couple where the female earns more than their partner.

    Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift has moved past Rihanna as the world’s richest female musical artist.

The Grammy-winning artist, 34, has a net worth of $1.6billion (£1.2billion), Forbes reported in October, which edges the $1.4billion (£1billion) the outlet reports Rihanna’s net worth as.

Taylor was declared a billionaire in 2024 after the monumentous success of her wildly-lucrative Eras tour, the outlet reported.

The Fortnight artist – who has a real estate portfolio estimated at about $125million – achieved the financial feat of becoming a billionaire solely through her musical endeavors, royalties and concerts.

And while she may be dating one of the NFL’s most popular players, Travis Kelce is nowhere near his girlfriend’s level of wealth.

Last August he was estimated to have a wealth of $40million (£30million) and is working hand to grow that number significantly through his podcast and upcoming presenting opportunities.

    Rihanna and A$AP Rocky

She may have lost out on the title of richest female musical artist to Taylor Swift, but Rihanna is still worth a hefty fortune with a $1.4billion (£1billion).

While her singing career has taken somewhat of a backseat in recent years since becoming a mum, the hit maker also presides over the wildly-successful Fenty cosmetics and lingerie brand.

However A$AP’s fortune is much more modest at £15million through his music career, fashion collaborations and business ventures.

The couple have undergone a stressful period after Rocky’s recent legal victory, after being cleared of two counts of felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm following a three-week trial.

The musician had faced two decades in prison for his alleged involvement in a 2021 dust-up with Relli, but was found not guilty after defense attorney-to-the-stars Joe Tacopina convinced jurors Rocky was the victim of an extortion plot.

After the verdicts were read out, Rocky ran over and dived into Rihanna’s arms, who erupted in tears.

    Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz

She might have married into one of the biggest families in UK showbiz, however Nicola Peltz is far wealthier than Brooklyn Beckham in her own right.

The Beckham-Peltz marriage marks the union of two powerful and wealthy families, with Nicola being the daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz and model Claudia Peltz.

At the head of the Peltz clan is Nicola’s father, a billionaire investor who started his career as a delivery truck driver and worked his way up to launch one of the biggest food distributing companies in the world.

He is now worth more than the Beckhams – with a stunning net worth of $1.6 billion – while her mother is a former model.

Nicola is thought to be worth £39 million after beginning her career as a model before moving into acting.

Meanwhile Brooklyn’s worth is estimated around just £8 million after he launched his own hot sauce brand, Cloud 23, and published his own photography book What I See in 2017.

    Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet

She was controversially declared the world’s youngest’s self-made billionaire at age 21.

And despite that value later being downgraded, Kylie Jenner is still estimated to be worth an incredible $700million (£525million).

Makeup mogul Kylie famously owns a private jet called Kylie Air, and is the CEO of Kylie Cosmetics, which she founded with her mum Kris Jenner in 2014.

Meanwhile Timothee is worth far less with his net worth coming to just $25million (£18million).

Last month the actor’s sister Pauline took another apparent swipe at his billionaire girlfriend.

The Sex Lives of College Girls actress, 33, who previously ‘shaded’ Jenner’s use of private jets, took to Instagram to lambast ‘insane wealth disparity’ in the US after reading a New York Times article about cuts to foreign aid.

Pauline wrote on her stories: ‘New York Times, liberal bias, yes yes yes i get it. But this one by @nickkristof is worth the read. It’s about empathy and humanity.

‘The United States faces a tremendous number of domestic issues. Our maternal mortality rate is embarrassing, our way of shopping and eating food completely out of season makes no sense, we’re spoiled in our desire to BLAST ACs and heat, our INSANE wealth disparity is sick, the list literally goes ON and ON.

‘BUT just take a second and think about the fact that LESS THAN 1% of all of our money goes to humanitarian aid.

‘That money is insignificant in fixing any of the larger problems that play in the United States.

‘And yet so significant to the lives of millions of individuals across this shared home we call Earth.’

Pauline also appears to have previously lashed out at Kylie in posts about billionaires and CEOs who own private jets.

    Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco

After more than two decades in the spotlight, Selena Gomez reached billionaire status, at age 32 last September, through a number of savvy business decisions and hard work.

She kickstarted her career as just a child actress on the children’s television series Barney & Friends, before emerging as a teen idol on Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place.

Starting her career off so young proved to be an incredibly lucrative decision as she is, now, reported to have a net worth of $1.3 billion (£97million), according to Bloomberg.

Despite being known primarily as a singer and actress, the publication reported that the majority of the Lose You to Love Me hitmaker’s wealth comes from her makeup brand, Rare Beauty, which she launched in 2020.

According to Time, Rare Beauty ‘is a top seller at Sephora and available in 36 countries’ and has only continue to rake in more money over the years.

Her brand’s most popular product last year, a $23 liquid blush, brought in $70 million in sales.

Some of her most profitable endorsement deals include her campaigns for ‘Puma, worth a reported $30 million, and Coach, a $10 million deal.’

As the third most followed person on Instagram, with more than 424 million followers, she can make an estimated $2.6 million per branded feed post on the app.

Additionally, she has made a fortune landing acting gigs on TV series, like Only Murders In The Building, which was just renewed for season five, brand partnerships and her music.

Meanwhile Benny Blanco, although a successful musician in his own right with 11 Grammy nominations under his belt, has a reported net worth of just $50million (£37million)

An inside source previously told MailOnline: ‘Yes, they are both aware that Selena is worth so much more than Benny,’ noting that Blanco has already signed a prenuptial agreement ahead of their marriage to ‘show [Gomez] that he wants nothing more from her than her love.’

Kris, 66, also served as executive producer on the many Kardashian-Jenner reality TV spin-offs that have been released as a result of the initial show’s success.

    Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden

Cameron Diaz, 52, tied the knot with musician Benji Madden, 46, at her home in Beverly Hills, California, in January 2015.

The actress recently made her return to the acting industry for the first time in a decade for the Netflix action film Back In Action.

And while in recent years she has shunned the spotlight in favour of family life, Cameron is still worth an impressive $140million (£105million).

Back in 2013 she was even named the highest-paid actress over 40-years-old.

The star is married to the lead guitarist and backing vocalist of rock band Good Charlotte – and despite his musical accolades, his net worth comes nowhere close to that of his wife.

Benji’s net worth reportedly sits at just $40million (£30million), leaving an huge difference of £77 million between the pair.

Danny Dyer says despite him being ‘proudly working class’ his kids have NEVER travelled on a bus and always go ‘door to door’ in a £200K Bentley – as he continues making money for the family in hysterical foul-mouthed ad

He’s a working class hero who grew up on the gritty streets of east London.

But Danny Dyer says because of his fame, his kids have never been on a bus and instead get driven ‘door to door in a Bentley.

The actor, 47, gets a grilling about claims he sent his son to private school in ITV’s new show The Assembly, ahead of him making more money for the family in a new foul-mouthed ad.

Each episode of the series sees a different celebrity face questions from a group of autistic, neurodivergent and learning disabled people, which will force them to cast aside their media training, with no topic off limits.

Being questioned are the former EastEnders actor Dyer, Match Of The Day presenter Gary Lineker, 64, Doctor Who star David Tennant, 54, and ex-Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall, 32.

In the episode being released this Saturday, Dyer is asked by one of the interviewers: ‘How working class are you to send your son to a private school?’.

Dyer responds: ‘I am a working-class kid and I am very proud of my roots. We moved to a better place where we could bring the children up.

‘I have put my children in a private school, but now they’re not street wise. I don’t regret it but there’s a part of me that I wish I could instil a little bit of knowing what it’s like to struggle into them.

‘But like anyone, if you have kids you want to give them everything you can and it can backfire on you slightly, because now, they get driven around in a Bentley. I’ve got a Bentley. I walked everywhere as a kid or got a bus.

‘My kids have never been on a bus, they don’t have to. Because they get driven door to door in a Bentley.’

Dyer, who hails from east London, and his wife Joanne have three children – Sunnie, 18,  Arty, 11, and reality star Dani, 28, who won the fourth series of ITV dating show Love Island.

He revealed earlier this March that they were going to send his son to a private school in Chigwell.

Asked on The Assembly show how he felt about her going on the show and being a nepo baby, he responded: ‘She is but by default and I think that’s why she got on the show.

‘I never wanted her to do it because I heard people have sex on that show. As a father I don’t want to see any of that. She didn’t tell me until the last minute and she just went. She was such a beautiful human being on it. So actually, it worked out really well with her. She was working in a pub before that.

‘She is a nepo baby but what’s wrong with that?.’

Throughout the entertainment show, Dyer is also asked how he copes with his anxiety, as well as how much he has been paid for jobs.

The actor plays Jack, a middle-aged dad who has six weeks to turn his life around, stop fighting at football, kick his habit, and save his marriage.

Written and directed by Nick Love, Danny was involved in the project from the start, with Stephanie Leonidas playing his wife, Dani.

However, due to the chaotic nature of the film, finding someone to play their son was challenging.

The actor cast for the role would need to be young and exposed to some of the film’s mature content.

‘I didn’t know if he could even learn dialogue. So I gave him this chunk and I said, ‘learn that, and then I’ll see if you can do it’.

‘And he came back to me, he learnt it within five minutes, just because he rushed the first few sentences, so he could get to say the C-word just because he’s allowed to say it.’

Jade Thirlwall details her ‘spiral’ after Little Mix hiatus as she’d become ‘so conditioned’ to having decisions made for her and admits she had to ‘get used to existing on her own’

Jade Thirlwall has opened up on her feelings surrounding Little Mix’s hiatus and embarking on her solo career, as she admitted it took her a moment to get used to going it alone.

The singer, 32, launched her solo career last summer with her debut single, Angel of My Dreams, reaching the top 10 in the UK and recently won Best Pop Act at this year’s BRIT Awards.

She is now currently working on her first solo album since she and her Little Mix bandmates, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, announced a hiatus in 2022.

She recalled: ‘So then I flew to L.A., looked for a new team. And I was really proud of myself for doing that because, I don’t know if you know, but when we got signed, we didn’t really get a choice. When we were that young, and on the X Factor, it’s like you sign here, here and here.

But despite her success, Jade admitted the foodie podcast, Dish from Waitrose, that she'd had to work hard to learn to stand on her own and start appreciating being able to make her own decisions for the first time (seen with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett)

‘So I really wanted to make sure for my own solo journey, I was picking and choosing exactly who I wanted on my team. Everything.

‘And then I just started writing loads. And the more I wrote, the more I did feel like liberated, like “oh gosh I can write about my own personal experiences”. Now I love it.

‘I still have moments, like when I did the BRIT Awards, and I walked in the room for the first time on my own, I was like “Oh my God, this is so scary”. Because we were just so used to having each other and doing press on my own is weird.’

Discussing the reaction she’s had since going solo, Jade said she was grateful that her Little Mix fanbase had always been behind her and cheering her on to do well, despite some people writing her and her bandmates off.

She said: ‘I’ve definitely felt the love from people. I think that was always the thing with the Little Mix girls as well, I think we were dark horses at the beginning of our career on X Factor.

‘And then we exceeded expectations by doing well from that. And then as a girlband in the industry, again it was like this constant like dark horse mentality. Of proving to everyone why we deserve to stick around.

‘So I think as the years have gone by, I feel like our fan base was always rooting for us, or just wanted us to do well. And I’ve felt that on my own as well, which has been really lovely.

‘You know, I think people could sense that from us, that we were just like four normal girls just like trying to do well, change our lives and it happened.’

Despite all her global success however, Jade insisted she makes sure she stays humble by surrounding herself with ‘the right people’, from her family, friends and boyfriend Jordan Stephens.

She said: ‘I am always with my family and friends, I always like to stay grounded. Like my mam will always be the first to humble me if I do anything.

‘But you need that. You need that around you. I’ve been in the industry for so long now, I see it all the time. It’s hard not to change when people are blowing smoke up your a**e all the time.

‘So I’ve really had to keep the right people around us. And I think people maybe do rate that I’ve just went for it. I was like, if I’m going to do it, I might as well go all out’.

The podcast comes off the heels of Jade’s confession that ‘a weight lifted off her shoulders when she turned 30’ in interview with Puss Puss Magazine earlier this month.

The musical artist opened up about how creating her upcoming solo album helped her ‘find herself again’.

She explained: ‘The album is a culmination of all the things I’ve wanted to say over the years. I wanted this album to literally sound like I’m finding myself again, and I think you can hear that sonically.

‘I wanted the fans to be let in on that experience because that’s the truth, that was the process of this album – figuring out what my sound is.’

She admitted: ‘Literally the minute I turned 30 it was like a weight lifted off my shoulders and I stopped caring as much about what people think.

‘Which is lucky, because I feel like now I’m on my own, I’ll obviously get more scrutiny. There’s more of a magnifying glass.

‘I think people still expect me to look like the 20-year-old girl that I was, but obviously, my body has changed.

‘I’m more than ready for my album to be out there. I get to do my own shows this year and I’ve got a bunch of festivals coming up. I’ve really missed being on stage. I just want the album to be out in the world so I can start writing again.’

Last month saw the star release another new dramatic track, called FUFN (F**k You For Now).

Written by Jade with music icon RAYE and Dave Hamelin, and co-produced by Lostboy, she sings:’Don’t you tell me to calm down.’

The song was teased during the new Fendi campaign for their Mamma Baguette bag, which Jade stars in.

Detailing the meaning of the tune, she said: ‘FUFN is the escalation of an argument we’ve all had, knowing it’s not the end but feeling all the anger in the moment.

‘It’s the channelling of female rage into a bada** big pop banger.’

The singer’s debut single, Angel Of My Dreams, has been a huge commercial success, accumulating over 100 million streams to date.

It entered the UK Official Singles Chart at No.7, marking the third-highest new entry for a British artist last year.

Since then she has followed it up with tracks Midnight Cowboy, Fantasy, IT Girl and FUFN.

And she is set to go on her first ever solo tour this autumn, performing at medium-sized venues, including the 3,600-capacity Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, West London.

She hasn’t even released her debut solo album yet.

However, former Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall, 32, is already planning her second album after her debut solo single, Angel of My Dreams, was a huge hit, reaching the top 10 in the UK.

The singer, who began her solo career in the summer of last year after the band announced a hiatus in 2022, is reportedly back in the studio working on new material, according to The Sun.

With 2025 on her mind, Jade is also said to be brainstorming ideas for her first solo tour, which is scheduled for this autumn.

A source told the publication: ‘Jade is laser-focused on making this year a big one for her.

They joined an exciting lineup of acts including Jade, Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Fender, Lola Young, Teddy Swims, and The Last Dinner Party.

Charli XCX was originally set to perform but decided not to despite months of negotiations.

According to a close source, the decision comes as she shifted her focus toward preparing for the Grammy Awards, which took place earlier this month.

In the end, Charli’s smash hit album BRAT swept the board and took home all of the five awards she was nominated for.

The British singer, 32, whose No1 album became a cultural phenomenon last summer, took home Best Album, Artist of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Dance Act and Best Song Writing.

BRIT Awards fans left in hysterics as they spot Danny Dyer sat on table beside a woman dressed as a HORSE: ‘He definitely thinks that’s Megan Thee Stallion’

It is the biggest night of the year for British music.

But viewers of the 2025 BRIT Awards were left slightly distracted from the huge stars and electric performances, after spotting a long face in the crowd on Saturday night.

The awards ceremony attracted a host of big names, including Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX and Jade Thirlwall, but none cause as much as a stir as a woman who arrived dressed as a horse.

The mysterious equestrian donned a draped red dress and an eerily realistic horse head mask, complete with ears.

Throughout the ceremony, the horse was sat at a table beside Danny Dyer, and caught the attention of many eagle-eyed viewers throughout the show.

Host Jack Whitehall even commented on the bizarre appearance at one point, as he came to chat to Danny, questioning why the actor had brought along a horse as his date.

Fans were left utterly perplexed over the sighting, while others couldn’t rein in their laughter at the outlandish scenes, quipping that it was footballer Jarrod Bowen under the mask or a shock reappearance by famous racehorse Shergar.

BRIT Awards fans left in hysterics as they spot Danny Dyer sat on table beside a woman dressed as a HORSE: ‘He definitely thinks that’s Megan Thee Stallion’

Viewers of the 2025 BRIT Awards were left slightly distracted from the huge stars and electric performances, after spotting a long face in the crowd on Saturday night

The awards ceremony attracted a host of big names, including Sabrina Carpenter and Charli XCX, but none cause as much as a stir as a woman who arrived dressed as a horse

However, it was soon pointed out by fans that the woman in question was known other than a successful German DJ, known as HorsegiirL.

The DJ, producer and songwriter from Berlin wears an equine mask in public and keeps her real identity and name as secret.

Known as Stella to her friends, HorsegiirL is purposefully spelled with an extra ‘I’ and capital ‘L’ and she previously described herself as ‘half-horse, half-human’ who had been ‘discovered by Whitney Horston at a harvest fest’ as a teenager.

According to Horse And Hound, she represents ‘a new wave of electronic artists that prioritise the fun and kitschy, that counters the more serious approach that often permeates the electronic music scene’.

And her followers were quick to take to social media to set the record straight on HorsegiirL’s talents, while praising whoever had sat the DJ next to Danny.

They wrote: ‘straight people don’t know who horsegiirl is i’m literally shaking and crying’; ‘WHAT IS HORSEGIIRL DOING SAT WITH DANNY DYER WHAT THE HELL’.

‘the way people arent understanding horsegiirl at the brits.. please shes not a furry shes just protecting her privacy and its a persona let her LIVEE’; ‘obsessed with horsegiirl committing to the bit’

‘horsegiirl sat next to danny dyer is a generational moment’; ‘WHYYYY have they sat danny dyer and horsegiirl next to eachother im cackling’.

‘Danny Dyer definitely thinks HorsegiirL is Megan Thee Stallion’; ‘them sitting danny dyers next to horsegiirl at the brits i am screaming’.

‘not a fan of all the horsegiirl disrespect on my timeline’; ‘whoever sat danny dyer next to horsegiirl needs an award themselves’.

‘if a see one more tweet asking “whys there a horse there” am gonna go feral bc that is HORSEGIIRL put some respect on her name❤️’.

It’s not the first time that HorsegiirL has hit the headlines, after Radio 1 DJ Arielle Free was suspended after slamming one of her hits back in 2023.

The incident saw a worse for wear Arielle being pulled off air by Charlie Hedges during her live Dance Anthems broadcast, after she told Charlie she ‘hated’ the song she had just played – HorsegiirL’s track My Barn, My Rules.

Charlie then told Arielle to put down the mic, ‘have some respect’ and get out of her DJ booth.

All had seemed well at first when Arielle came on the show and said to Charlie: ‘Hi, yeah I sound great don’t I? as Charlie laughed, because Arielle was losing her voice.

‘You’ve sounded better,’ Charlie responded. ‘But it’s OK.’

However, it was soon pointed out by fans that the woman in question was known other than a successful German DJ, known as HorsegiirL

Seeming out of sorts, Arielle insisted: ‘Well this is what happened. You play on Friday and you play on Saturday and then your voice just goes.’

She then suddenly added: ‘Can I be honest with you Charlie?… I expected better of you… ‘ with Charlie interjecting: ‘What? To sound better, like you?’

Arielle said back: ‘I don’t like this song,’ referring to My Barn, My Rules, causing Charlie to reply: ‘Oh really?’

Arielle admitted: ‘I hate it!… before interrupting further to say: ‘I’m sorrrryy.’

An outraged Charlie said: ‘Sorry I’m taking your mic down, it’s my show Arielle, have some respect please. See you later. Get out of here,’ ordering her out of the DJ booth.

A spokesman for Radio 1 told MailOnline: ‘Whilst we would not comment on individual matters, we have strict codes of behaviour for staff and presenters, and any breaches are taken extremely seriously.’

Arielle was subsequently taken off from hosting the radio station’s early breakfast show the following week.

The 2025 BRIT Awards ceremony was hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, marking his fifth time at the helm of the event, after having previously presented the show in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

The star-studded event took place once again at London’s O2 Arena with the trophy this year designed by the talented Gabriel Moses.

The night featured massive performances from Ezra Collective and special guest Jorja Smith.

They joined an exciting lineup of acts including Jade Thirlwall, Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Fender, Lola Young, Teddy Swims, and The Last Dinner Party.

Charli XCX was originally set to perform but decided not to despite months of negotiations.

According to a close source, the decision comes as she shifted her focus toward preparing for the Grammy Awards, which took place earlier this month.

The pop singer led the 2025 BRIT Awards nominations with five nods, closely followed by Dua Lipa who had been recognised in four categories.

Charli’s incredible sweep mirrored Raye’s own triumph at last year’s ceremony which saw the 27-year-old made history after scooping a record breaking six gongs.

She made history when her No1 album Brat became a cultural phenomenon last summer along with the colour slime green as millions of fans showed their support by posting clips of Charli’s Apple Dance on TikTok.

Dua, 29, who is already the recipient of seven BRITs, went head-to-head against Charli for Song Of The Year with hit Training Season, Artist Of The Year, Pop Act, and Album Of The Year with Radical Optimism.

US superstar Taylor Swift, 35, battled it out with Billie Eilish in the International Artist Of The Year category, which also featured Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan, as well as for the International Song Of The Year accolade.

Sabrina landed her first BRIT when she scooped the special Global Success Award, presented by Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, 21.

Thanking her UK fans American singer quipped that a ‘predominantly tea drinking country’ had ‘streamed the s***’ out of her smash hit track Espresso.

However the banger was pipped to the post for Best International Song Of The Year to Chappell Roan for her own catchy tune Good Luck, Babe.

The HOT TO GO singer, 27, later went on to beat the likes of Beyoncé and Billie Eilish to win Best International Artist.

Jade Thirlwall leaves fans shocked with shock bare bum moment during her 2025 BRITs performance – as she takes home top gong

Jade Thirlwall left viewers of the 2025 BRIT Awards shocked when her dancer flashed his bare bum during her show-stopping performance.

The Little Mix star, 32, took to the stage at London’s O2 Arena to perform her hit track Angel Of My Dreams in her first solo performance at the ceremony.

Her show saw her dress as a bride and an angel in an array of outfit changes and fall to the floor from a platform, but there was one moment that really got people talking.

In a blink-and-you’ll-miss it moment, one of Jade’s dancers could be seen flashing his bare behind right at the end of her song, before the camera panned away.

He had ‘FUFN’ written across his bottom in black marker pen, which is the title of Jade’s upcoming single, which she teased in a short video in recent days.

Jade also took to her Instagram to share a photograph of the cheeky moment as she asked fans if they had noticed it.

Alongside the snap, she shared a hyperlink to pre-save the song, which was titled: ‘Who saw it?’ in reference to the fleeting nude moment.

Fans were quick to take to the comments section to share their surprise over the moment as they were left in stitches over her unique advertising technique.

    Comments included: ‘Sooo was that scripted the man showing his ass’; ‘LMAOOOOOO’; ‘I was dead’;

‘Iconic’; ‘Thank you for this beautiful gift lol’; ‘Who’s ass is that’; ‘WTF JADE LOL.’

Dancer Harry Carter also claimed that he was the person pictured in the image as fans shared their amusement.

On the night, Jade also took home her first BRIT Award as a solo artist since Little Mix went on on hiatus December 2021.

She scored the award for Best Pop Act, and quickly went viral for her chaotic acceptance speech.

The award was presented by Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhán Donaghy of the Sugababes, with Jade winning over Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Lola Young and Myles Smith.

As her name was read out, the pop star gasped in shock and excitedly made her way to the stage, but was hampered by the huge train and skirt of her denim bridal dress.

She struggled to climb the stairs on to the stage and needed a helping hand from the Sugababes after becoming stuck.

Beginning her acceptance speech, Jade then proceeded to reach into her dress and pull out a folded piece of paper from her cleavage.

She explained: ‘Oh my God! This is my first solo BRIT Award! I can’t cry because I’ve got to sing later, but I did do a little piece of paper in case I won the award. I know it’s cringe but I knew I’d forget people. I’m flustered.’

She went on to thank her fans and loved ones for helping her get so far, saying: ‘I need to thank the fans because that’s why I’ve won.

‘Thank you for supporting me and relentlessly forcing everyone around you to vote for me, I really appreciate it.

‘I want to thank my fabulous team around me, because it really does take a determined village to make a good pop act.

‘My partner Jordan, my mum, dad, my brother and all my family and friends for always believing in me.

‘Thank you for making me thing it was a realistic goal to be a pop star ever since I was a little girl.’

Jade then paid a sweet tribute to her former Little Mix bandmates, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, saying they ‘changed her life’.

Becoming emotional, she gushed: ‘And finally my Little Mix sisters, I love you so much. I wouldn’t have this award without them. They changed my life and I am so grateful.’

She once again had to rely on the Sugababes to make her way down for the stage as she had more difficulties with her outfit.

Elsewhere, Charli XCX led the winners as her smash hit album BRAT swept the board and took home a whopping five awards on Saturday evening.

The British singer, 32, whose No1 album became a cultural phenomenon last summer, took home Best Album, Artist of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Dance Act and Best Song Writing.

Charli’s incredible sweep mirrored Raye’s own triumph at last year’s ceremony which saw the 27-year-old made history after scooping a record breaking six gongs.

While accepting the evening’s top award for Artist Of The Year the scantily clad star revealed ITV had complained about her racy award show look before declaring ‘free the nip!’ to cheers from the audience.

Charli stunned in a very daring sheer black gown which she wore over skimpy underwear as she put her enviable figure on full display.

After host Jack Whitehall quipped the songstress would not be performing at the O2 ceremony in order to ‘get drunk’ the bleary-eyed singer was in great spirits while accepting her numerous honours.

During one stage appearance she joked it was great to see a song about underwear win after her hit Guess ft Billie Eilish was crowned Best Song Of The Year.

Sabrina Carpenter also landed her first BRIT when she scooped the special Global Success Award.

Unable to be there, she accepted via video link and paid tribute to the trans community as well as thanking drag queens and the late Sinead O’Connor for inspiriting her.

Awkward moment Jade Thirlwall laughs off Jack Whitehall’s Phil and Holly joke – before BRIT Awards host crudely brings up her X-rated merch in front of her mother

The BRIT Awards host Jack Whitehall caused controversy by making a series of savage digs directed at the A-list guests on Saturday night.

But as well as his brutal jibes, the comedian, 36, also suffered a very awkward moment with Jade Thirlwall as he referenced former best pals and This Morning co-stars Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Phil, 62, stepped down from the ITV show last May following an ‘unwise’ affair with a junior colleague.

Jack sat down next to the singer, 32, who won Best Pop Act earlier in the night, and began chatting to her about the potenital of a Little Mix reunion.

The presenter quipped: ‘You know I’m a big Mixer and I have to ask. Little Mix – the official line is you’re currently on a hiatus, focusing on solo projects.

‘When we say on a hiatus focusing on solo projects, do we mean in more of a Phil and Kirsty way or a Phil and Holly way?’

Taken aback and looking slightly uncomfortable, Jade mumbled: ‘Ooh, er, well erm I think in more of a Five way. They’ve just got back together haven’t they.’

‘It could happen in the future, Little Mix reforming?,’ Jack questioned, to which the hitmaker responded: ‘Absolutely!,’ which earned a cheer from the crowd.

However, it got even more awkward when Jack decided to talk about how Jade’s image has changed since becoming a solo artist and stepping away from Little Mix.

He proceeded to pull up her merch website and discuss some of her X-rated merch – including butt plugs and lube.

But Jack failed to realise that he was also sat next to Jade’s mother, who looked mortified by the topic of conversation.

And it seems Jade wasn’t too pleased with the jokes either as the tone turned slightly sour before she joked that Jack must have bought one of the butt plugs.

Jack said: ‘I want to talk though about this kind of you image you have now that you’re a solo artist, it’s all a little bit racier. In fact, I went on Jade’s website, basically, ladies and gentlemen, as I often do, I clicked on the merchandise store.

‘She knows where this is going. Some of the items that are available to purchase on Jade’s website, merchandise like edible underwear. Lubricant… I’m not making this up. It’s certainly one way to ensure a standing ovation at your gigs.’

After joking that he was wearing a butt plug, he quickly realised his mistake and added: ‘I’ve just noticed that’s your mum… I’m so sorry, Norma.

They wrote: ‘the way jade is climbing the stairs has killed me’; ‘Jade winning her first solo Brit then fighting for her life to get up those stairs I LOVE HER’.

‘Jade did not factor in stairs when she chose her outfit for tonight.’; ‘the tiny running with that massive dress omg’; ‘Jade crawling up the stairs to get the award was so her too’.

As well as her win for Pop Act, Jade is also nominated for her debut hit Angel of My Dreams for the Song Of The Year award.

She revealed it was when she wrote the popular track that she finally established her individual sound.

Speaking as the nominations were announced, Jade said: ‘Obviously as a band we were nominated a few times and that’s amazing but when it’s for your own music and my own personal experiences, it does hit different, it feels extra special.

‘When I first started this solo journey, I was writing a lot of music to exist outside of the group and figure out who I am on my own but the minute I wrote Angel Of My Dreams, that was when I knew I had arrived and this is my sound, this is me.’

The 2025 BRIT Awards ceremony is hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, marking his fifth time at the helm of the event, after having previously presented the show in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

The star-studded event will take place once again at London’s O2 Arena with the trophy this year designed by the talented Gabriel Moses.

The night will feature massive performances from Ezra Collective and special guest Jorja Smith.

They have joined an exciting lineup of already announced acts including Jade Thirlwall, Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Fender, Lola Young, Teddy Swims, and The Last Dinner Party.

Charli XCX will no longer be performing at the ceremony despite months of negotiations.

According to a close source, the decision comes as she shifted her focus toward preparing for the Grammy Awards, which took place earlier this month.

The pop singer leads the 2025 BRIT Awards nominations with five nods, closely followed by Dua Lipa who has been recognised in four categories.

It was recently announced that Charli will receive the coveted Songwriter Of The Year prize.

The star, 32, made history when her No1 album Brat became a cultural phenomenon last summer along with the colour slime green as millions of fans showed their support by posting clips of Charli’s Apple Dance on TikTok.

And now her Brat summer lives on as Charli has received nominations in five prestigious categories including Song Of The Year for Guess ft. Billie Eilish, Artist Of The Year, Dance Act, Pop Act, and the sought-after Album Of The Year.

Dua, 29, who is already the recipient of seven BRITs, has been awarded another four nods as she goes head-to-head against Charli for Song Of The Year with hit Training Season, Artist Of The Year, Pop Act, and Album Of The Year with Radical Optimism.

US superstar Taylor Swift, 35, will battle it out with Billie Eilish in the International Artist Of The Year category, which also features Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan, as well as for the International Song Of The Year accolade.

The winners of five genre awards – Alternative/Rock Act, Dance Act, Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act, Pop Act, R&B Act – will be determined by a public vote exclusively through WhatsApp for the first time ever.

The jazz quintet Ezra Collective, who won the Mercury prize in 2023, landed four nominations for Best New Artist, Group Of The Year, Alternative Rock Act and Album Of The Year for their body of work Dance, No One’s Watching.

Their biggest competition comes from The Last Dinner Party who are also up for Best New Artist, Group Of The Year, Alternative Rock Act and Album Of The Year.

Thanks to globally successful artists Central Cee, Stormzy, and Dave, British rap is also well represented at this year’s BRIT Awards.

Central Cee has earned nods in the Song Of The Year category as well as Artist Of The Year, and Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act, while Stormzy has been nominated for the latter.

Another top contender is Myles Smith, who has three nominations in addition to the Rising Star award he was announced as winner last month.

His hit Stargazing, which has amassed over 600 million streams, is up for Song Of The Year, with the hitmaker saying March’s ceremony will be the first BRIT Awards he’s ever attended.

He said: ‘Last year I was watching it on TV and to be there this year is something I am so looking forward to. It’s slap bang in the middle of my tour so my head is everywhere right now but I’m going to figure it out.’

The Beatles have landed a shock nomination after last receiving recognition at the BRITs 42 years ago.

They have been nominated for Song Of The Year with track Now and Then, written by the late John Lennon, 45 years ago.

It was digitally remastered in 2023, reached the No1 spot on the UK Singles Chart and broke several records including the longest gap between a band’s first and last number one.

Jade Thirlwall makes a statement in denim wedding dress as she is joined by the giant from her Angel of My Dreams on the red carpet ahead of performing at the BRIT Awards

Jade Thirlwall ensured all eyes were on her as she graced the red carpet at the BRIT Awards 2025 on Saturday night, bringing along an unusual date.

The former Little Mix star, 32, commanded attention in a romantic denim wedding dress with a dropped waist and voluminous skirt.

The pale blue gown boasted a plunging neckline adorned with roses that showcased a glimpse of her cleavage and a dramatically long train that flowed behind her.

Jade added a dainty diamond necklace and emphasized the wedding theme of the look by clutching a bouquet of denim flowers.

The singer – who launched her solo career as JADE last year – wore her raven hair in soft waves and completed her fairytale look with a dusting of glitter across her eyes and cheeks.

But despite her stunning appearance, many fans were distracted by Jade’s date for the evening.

She brought along Srbo Markovic to play her groom, who donned a fat suit and huge prosthetic gloves under his white suit to resemble a giant.

The look was a nod to Jade’s music video for her debut hit Angel of My Dreams, where Srbo played a giant menacing figure to represent a controlling music manager.

The track is up for the Song Of The Year award at the BRITs, while Jade has also been nominated for Pop Act – her first nomination as a solo artist after previously winning three awards with the group Little Mix.

She revealed it was when she wrote the hit Angel Of My Dreams that she finally established her individual sound.
