In November, the Rivals actress revealed she and Alistair discovered the pregnancy news during their first ever holiday together in Italy last year and described it as the ‘most perfect day’ of her life.

Emily rarely comments on her private life but recalled how on their last day in Palmero the lovebirds were discussing future plans for a family, when she realised she had in fact missed her period.

She told The Times: ‘[Alistair] joked, “Let’s buy a pregnancy test then”’ We did and I was pregnant. It was the happiest, most perfect day of my life. Not long afterwards, he packed all his stuff in a van in Manchester where he lived and arrived at my house’.

It comes as Emily is set to join the likes of Rachel Shenton from All Creatures Great And Small and Doctor Who’s Samuel Anderson in The Rumour.

The new Channel 5 series is based on the hit Sunday Times bestselling novel of the same name by Lesley Kara.

The show explores how small-town gossip can spiral out of control and can have unintended consequences.

Rachel Shenton will play Joanna, a young mother who moves to the town of Flinstead seeking a fresh start.

However, when Joanna stumbles upon an online rumour concerning a notorious child killer who lives in the town, she uses it as a way to win over the mothers she sees at the school gate.

Speaking about joining the show, she said: ‘I’m really excited to play Joanna. The Rumour is a story of a woman unravelling as she relentlessly pursues the truth.

‘She’s very relatable and the cast are amazing. It’s lovely to work with so many women.’

Wolf Hall’s Joanne Whalley and Enola Holmes’s Ellie Haddington are also part of the cast.

Paul Testar, Commissioning Editor, Drama, Channel 5 commented: With Lesley Kara’s captivating story and a stellar cast, this series promises edge-of-your-seat suspense and a fascinating exploration of the thin line between trust and fear.’

Dixie Linder, Executive Producer for Cuba Pictures, said: ‘The Rumour delves into the unsettling impact of gossip, paranoia, and suspicion in a close-knit community.

It comes after Disney+ confirmed Rivals has been renewed for a second series.

Rivals is based on Jilly Cooper’s saucy Rutshire Chronicles and is jam-packed with the same sharp wit, romantic entanglements, raunchy sex scenes and unforgettable characters.

The story is set in 1986 and follows the cut throat world of television, including the tense rivalry between Rupert Campbell-Black (Hassell) and Lord Tony Baddingham (Tennant).

The first season saw a series of parties and luncheons in Lord Baddingham’s country pile result in steamy affairs and star-crossed yearnings.

On review website Rotten Tomatoes it earned a whopping 94% from critics on the Tomatometer and an impressive 91% from all audiences on their Popcornmeter.

‘But the irony that my t*ts have got me through my life and now they’re not f***ing working for me. Yeah, cheers.

‘When I really needed you. When I really f***ing needed you. The breastfeeding thing for me was very, very difficult.

‘The baby just would not latch. He did it first, and then he stopped, and he was getting thinner and thinner by the day.

She added: ‘I got very ill. I got so, so ill with something called mastitis, which happens when the milk gets all kind of blocked up.

Katie Price is slammed by fans for being ‘unhygienic’ as they spot her hairless cat eating out of her sink while she cooks family meal

Katie Price has left fans feossd out when her hairless cat walked along her kitchen worktop as she cooked a family meal in a new Instagram video on Wednesday.

The former glamour model, 46, was busy making a delicious looking one pan cheesy tomato pasta dish when her pet Sphynx cat jumped on her kitchen counter and started eating something out of her sink.

Katie seemed oblivious as she chatted away to the camera explaining how she was putting basil leaves, spaghetti, cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms and mozzarella in the dish before popping it in the oven.

However, fans couldn’t take their eyes off the pet as it leaned into the sink, which had items stacked inside, to eat something.

Fans quickly slammed Katie for being ‘so unhygienic’ while cooking for her children and joked the cat looked like a ‘bald chicken’.

    ‘Why is nobody mentioning the bald cat in the back; Looks great but the cat is walking on your worktops in the background; It’s the bald cat over the worktops and in the sink for me;

‘Now I am not one to attack, even though it was Emily Atack,’ Katie added. ‘I don’t attack anyone. I am the kindest person ever.

‘But if someone goes for me, I make sure I have the last word.’

A source previously told The Sun Katie was ‘furious’ when she heard what Emily had said about her.

They revealed: ‘She was telling people that she can’t believe Emily would say something so snide and if she “wants a problem, I’ll give her a problem”.

‘At one point Katie was saying she’d fly out to Australia and confront her. She’s not going to, obviously, but she was asking around to see if anyone had Emily’s number.’

Emily has not responded to Katie’s most recent jibe or the video she previously made about her.

And on Friday night, Emily Atack ensured all eyes were on her as she posted a stunning selfie to her Instagram.

The actress, 34, teased her chest in a plunging leotard style top as she took the suggestive snap and stared longingly down the camera lens.

She wore bold blue eye makeup and back combed her blonde locks into bouncy waves, for added volume.

The Inbetweeners star looked sensational in the sassy snap and opted for a dewy bronzed makeup palette, adding a pop of pink to her cheeks, before she finished off the stunning look with a lick of gloss across her lips.

Captioning the picture, Emily revealed a bombshell about her racy new series – based on the book by Jilly Cooper.

She wrote: ‘Calling all Hulu folk. Rivals is now available to watch in the US.’

She added: ‘Bring back blue mascara!’

It comes after the TV star revealed she feels ‘sexier than ever’ after her ‘liberating’ naked tennis scene and lingerie-clad romps in the new ‘bonkbuster’ show.

As she opened up about her feelings towards her body, the comedian told how she’s embracing her curves and feels no pressure to lose weight after welcoming baby Barney in June.

In her new role, Emily, who plays the wife of the Deputy Prime Minister, Sarah Stratton, appears fully naked to play tennis with Alex Hassell’s character Rupert Campbell Black, who is also starkers.

The actress also strips down to black lingerie for a romp all within the first 25 minutes of the first episode.

As she opened up about her feelings towards her body, the comedian told of how she’s embracing her curves (Emily pictured in Rivals)

Explaining that she’s more than happy with her body, Emily told Hello!: ‘People keep asking me if I’m going to the gym but I’m not. I’m a mum, I’ve got rolly bits and I’m healthy, feeling sexier than ever and playing a bombshell in an amazing series.

‘In my teens all I wanted to be was a size eight or 10. Our value always depends on what size we are and it shouldn’t be that way.’

Speaking of the iconic scene, Emily reflected: ‘Of course it was nerve-racking but by the end, but by the end of the day I felt very liberated. It’s such a famous scene in the book and I wanted to get it right.’

Emily has been praised for her racy performance in the raucous Disney+ series, and was completely nude in the eye-popping scene, where she protects her modesty with a just tennis ball and racket.

She previously stressed that she was unbothered by the prospect of baring all, explaining on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X that she was more intimidated by the thought of playing tennis.

‘It was so funny, because when they sent me the script, they said, ‘You know, you’re going to have to play tennis naked.’ That was one of the things they said. And I said, ‘Disney, there is no way on Earth you’re going to get me to play tennis!’

‘That’s genuinely what I was worried about. I was like, ‘No way!’ But yeah. So, once I got past all that bit, read the script, I was like, ‘Yeah, this is made for me, this role.’ Those roles come along very rarely, and it just spoke to me.’

After the racy tennis scene, Emily gets intimate with her on-screen husband while a gay couple performs oral sex in a parallel scene.

In the sex montage, the camera then pans to Danny Dyer, who plays Freddie Jones, and David Tennant, who stars as Tony, jumping into bed naked with Nafessa Williams, who plays Cameron – despite his wife at home alone.

Reflecting on the sex scenes, she added: ‘When you’re there and you’re doing it, it’s really not what it seems in in real life. Like, when you’re doing a sex scene, for example, there’s nothing sexy about it! It’s hilarious!

‘You know, we all get the giggles, but we’re all very professional. And in this day and age, you have intimacy coordinators, it’s a very different thing.

‘You have people putting a robe on you as soon as they yell cut, you know? And also, it really helps when you have someone like Alex Hassell, who’s just the loveliest gentleman in the world.

‘And yeah, as long as everybody is safe and being professional, and getting on with it, yeah, I’m just there, doing my job, having a lovely time!’

Emily even revealed that she has a fan in Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds.

Recounting the premiere for the new series, she said: ‘The premier was great. And yeah, everyone seems to be loving it. So, it’s great. Ryan Reynolds spoke about it on Instagram.

‘He put up a story about it last night… Ryan Reynolds has seen my bum!’

Emily has been outspoken about body positivity after a wave of cruel comments from trolls about her fluctuating weight over the years.

She told Stylist that she doesn’t let the trolls get her down, regardless of where she sits on the scales, explaining: ‘Luckily I have a wonderful life full of love and friendship and I have my health, so I take strength from that.

‘I won’t bow to a stranger who felt a desire to call me out on my double chins.’

On Monday, Emily insisted ‘the world needs’ her new Disney+ series Rivals as an escape from reality, during an interview on Loose Women.

The actress stressed that stripping off for sexy scenes in her career does not undermine her campaigning to end violence against women.

Speaking to Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Katie Piper and Brenda Edwards about her new raunchy role in the series, Emily credited the show for touching on sensitive subjects ‘brilliantly’.

She said: ‘I think the world needs this at the moment and it is escapism. It touches on really sensitive subjects and it does it brilliantly.

‘It’s very unusual, a different dynamic to navigate but it shows to me that finally people are understanding that these things need to be in place.

She went on to explain how the hunky scientist is so proud of her career, something she has never experienced in a relationship, and admitted he eagerly cuts out articles about her from newspapers and magazines to keep.

Gushing over Alex, Emily also teased wedding plans: ‘I know Al will look after me and Barney. I know he will be the best father and the best husband eventually. I am happier than I ever thought I could be’.

In another candid admission, the actress revealed how, fresh from filming Disney+’s smash hit Rivals, she supported her partner at his dying father’s beside, and said the tragedy brought them closer as a couple.

‘We were together at the deathbed and then afterwards we left the room and hugged. We held each other for about 20 minutes and we just knew. There was history, but in that moment something clarified. “This was love. This was real”‘.

She previously told HELLO! magazine that she felt as if she has ‘won the lottery’ with their baby son Barney, and added that she couldn’t have gone through the ‘difficult labour’ with anyone but Alex.

She told the publication:  ‘I couldn’t ask for a better partner and Al is the only person on this earth that I could have done this with.

‘It was a very difficult birth and after 12 hours of labour, I ended up having an emergency caesarean, but he was so calm.’

She added: ‘All the cliches of life become true when you fall in love and have a baby. He’s my rock, but he really, literally, is my rock; I couldn’t do life with anyone else but him.’

Emily had known Alistair for more than 30 years by the time they struck up a relationship, and MailOnline revealed that he is actually her auntie’s stepson.

Writing in her 2019 autobiography Are We There Yet?, Emily gave clues as to why she’s ended up in a relationship with Alistair, 38, because her cousins ‘understand each other on a deep level.’

She says: ‘Cousins are the best invention since the Game Boy. They are basically 50 per cent sibling, 50 per cent mate. You look the same but different…

‘You understand each other on a deep, deep, level and you have a smidgen more social etiquette towards them than your brother or sister…

‘It makes me sad for my friends who don’t have that relationship with their cousins, because mine were the best friends I ever had. They are still my best friends to this day.’

Emily previously explained how she found the scenes ‘so liberating’ in Rivals.

It is a pivotal moment for the star, who has admitted she ‘naively didn’t think what narrative was being painted for me’ when she rose to fame as Charlotte ‘Big Jugs’ Hinchcliffe on The Inbetweeners 16 years ago.

The life-changing role meant she got recognised instantly and booked for plenty of risqué photoshoots in lads magazines.

However, Emily was also hit by the dark side of fame where she became a victim to online sexual harassment and fat-shaming.

In Rivals, the actress strips off to play tennis with Alex Hassell’s character Rupert Campbell Black, who is also starkers.

Of the racy scenes, Emily told Sky News: ‘It’s so liberating and of course there are going to be people out there that take what you do and try and spin this negative narrative on it. I’m a woman, of course people are going to do that.

‘But what I need to keep doing is stressing to people is I’m exactly where I need to be, I’m at work. I’m playing a role and I’m very comfortable.’

Emily added there was an intimacy co-ordinator on set.

‘As soon as I read it, I got the same feeling that I got when I first auditioned for Charlotte from The Inbetweeners; the same little thrill in my stomach of, “Oh my god, this is perfect for me”,’ she told Radio Times.
