The singer explained that it gave them time to ‘prepare this a little bit better, because if it’s a natural birth, it could be two weeks late. It could be two weeks early’.

But despite being there for the birth of his first child, Olly had leave his wife and newborn just minutes after he became a father to perform as he was supporting Take That on their UK tour.

‘Yeah, that was hard. That was,’ he said. ‘I knew that Mila’s mum was there, which always gave me comfort. I knew Amelia was on her own.

‘I think again, I just went, ‘I’m going to work’. And if I overthink this, I’m going to cry my eyes out all the way up to the gig. So, I was kind of like, ‘I’m really sorry, babe, but I’ve got to go’.’

Getting emotional, Olly explained that he felt ‘awful’ leaving Amelia in hospital and said said he felt guilty for not bonding with Madison.

‘There was definitely that… I haven’t really had a chance to bond with Maddie yet, and I don’t really know who she is. So, there was a really big… like I’m gonna get emotional about it. I don’t want to get emotional. But yeah, it just felt a bit like…’ he  said as he held back tears.

‘It was hard to get that connection. Yeah. That relationship. And obviously Amelia obviously was amazing, and I had to leave.’

Despite feeling guilty about the situation, Olly had to remind himself that he had to ‘go provide’ for his family.

The Heart Skips A Beat hitmaker tied the knot with Amelia Tank in  the summer of 2023 and they recently welcomed baby Madi but he admitted that in the years that he was single, he had to learn to enjoy being alone.

He added: ‘When I was single for three years, I had to learn to like my own company. That’s when I met Amelia.’

Olly did not give any indication of whether he and his brother will ever be on speaking terms again but did share that his life goal is now to be the best husband and father he can be.

He added: ‘My aim in life is to be a great husband and father — that’s where my future lies. I’d love my career to continue as it is, but when you get married and become a dad, you just want to be the best for them.’

On their feud, Ben told MailOnline in January 2017: ‘I was very close to my parents, but fame and greed changed everything.

‘My parents wanted this bright, shiny Olly with the money who can give them the VIP lifestyle. They liked hanging around with Simon Cowell, or going to Bon Jovi concerts – they loved their VIP selfies.
