The country crooner, 43, opened up about her 'traditional' marriage with Mike Fisher and the  farm – which is located just outside Nashville – that they share together. 

An insider also shed insight about her 'real life' outside of Hollywood in her Us Weekly cover story, published on Wednesday. 

The mother of two shared a glimpse at her 'grounded' life and her marriage as an example of a 'very traditional couple living a not-so-traditional life.'

The insight comes as the singer – who won nearly 21 years ago and returned to the long-running series as a judge in March 2025 – has repeatedly . 

Underwood married her hockey player husband at the Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Georgia in July 2010, almost a decade before they started living the farm life together in Tennessee.

The couple have been raising the two boys on their sprawling farm since leaving Hollywood in 2019.

Underwood and her husband purchased the property in 2011 for a reported $3 million sum, and they finished remodeling their 'forever home' around 2018.

'If I had all the time in the world, I would not really need to go to the grocery store for too much,' Underwood told Fox News Digital about living a 'self-sustained' life at home with her husband and kids.

'It's a lot of fun. We have cows, we have sheep, we have donkeys. We have horses. I have my garden, and it's a great way to connect with the earth,' she said. 

'That's my contribution to the family.' 

The insider also said: 'When she isn't working, Carrie loves spending time with her boys and being outdoors.'

'When they’re in Tennessee, it's the typical lifestyle of a family with young kids,' the source added.

And in addition to tending to her farm, Underwood often 'works out with her trainer at home' and 'loves to run outside' on the property.
