Carol Vorderman made sure to make a statement with her outfit choice as she left Riverside Studios after recording Have I Got News For You on Thursday evening.

The presenter, 63, who has become known for her anti-Tory posts on social media, encouraged people to vote as she sported a black top with a political message.

Written in red capitals, it read: ‘Voting is hot AF’ with an X in the centre, representing the vote in the ballot box.

Turning around, the back read: ‘Polled. People find voters 40% more attractive’ with a marked box which repeated ‘Voting is hot AF’.

The star showcased her incredible physique as she paired the statement top with a pair of skinny black leather trousers.

Adding some black ankle boots, Carol’s hair was styled in voluminous waves while she picked up a packet of Tyrells crisps before heading home.

Carol has been incredibly vocal in her political views, especially after the announcement of the General Election on July 4.

Putting her passion for politics into words, back in April she revealed that her first political book is coming out on September 21 – titled OUT OF ORDER : What’s Gone Wrong with Britain and One Woman’s Mission to Fix It.

In an Instagram post, she described her work as a ‘rip-roaring call to arms telling the web of political influence responsible for the UK’s unravelling and how we can find our voice and stand up for what we believe in’.

‘I’m pulling no punches and telling some eye watering (and funny) tales you haven’t heard before,’ she teased. ‘Can you guess some of the names which might feature?’

Last November, Carol revealed that she was axed from her BBC Radio Wales show for breaching the broadcaster’s new social media guidelines – as she vowed to continue her anti-Tory posts online.

The presenter, who has been at the station for five years, said she was ‘not prepared to stop’ venting her ‘strong beliefs’ on X and Instagram.

She has since made appearances on LBC and upped how vocal she is about her political stances on social media.

After watching the election debate on ITV on Wednesday, Carol took to Instagram to share her opinions as she wrote: ‘Sunak tetchy and lying and interrupting endlessly. He’s a Tory…’

She added: ‘Sunak and the Tories are dangerous. We can EVISCERATE THEM ON JULY 4TH’.

Speaking about her new book and tour, the former Countdown star said: ‘I’ve been fighting this appalling Tory government with evidence and data, looking into the morally corrupt and questionable contracts they’ve signed with donors and associates.

‘It’s endless, and exhausting and heartbreaking. I’ve never known this country in such a state, with so little help and hope offered to those who need it.

‘But the tide has turned and I’m proud to have been a part of it.’
