Burnett's mini-me went on to star in her CBS variety show The Carol Burnett Show from 1967 to 1978 where she created the iconic character of 'Mama' Thelma Harper.

Lawrence recently guest starred as Lotte, the mother of the iconic comedian's murderous matriarch Norma Dellacorte, in four episodes of Palm Royale.

'What happened was [creator] Abe Sylvia called Vicki and said, "Okay, we would like you to be on the show, and you'll be Carol's mother." And Vicki said, "So what else is new?"' Burnett recalled to Parade last December.

'Being with Vicki again was like old times. I mean, it was as if all the years had not passed, and here we are again together.'

Addiction runs deep in Burnett's family as both of her parents Joseph and Ina were alcoholics and her daughter Erin also suffered from substance abuse issues.

The flame-haired funnywoman was raised by her maternal grandmother aka 'Nanny' Mabel Jones, whom she would famously signal on every episode of The Carol Burnett Show by tugging on her ear.

Burnett has been married to her third husband - former Hollywood Bowl Orchestra percussionist Brian Miller - for 24 years.

Aside from the seven Emmys, Tony, and Grammy - the living legend has won seven Golden Globe Awards, Kennedy Center Honors, Peabody Award, the Mark Twain Award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award.
