Carly Pearce is speaking out against fans who thought she was somehow supporting Satan… despite being a devout Christian.
Back on Monday, the 34-year-old Kentucky native posted photos from her appearance at CMA Fest, which took place in Nashville over the weekend.
One of the photos featured Pearce in a shimmering, strapless dress and knee-high shimmering silver boots, standing over a painted number on the ground that many fans apparently thought was 666 – a number most often associated with Satan.
After seeing a number of comments on her social media platforms about the supposed 666 reference, Pearce took to Twitter on Wednesday to clarify.
‘I’ve seen too many comments about this being some sort of “hint” towards 666 or satan to not comment,’ Pearce began.

‘I’ve seen too many comments about this being some sort of “hint” towards 666 or satan to not comment,’ Pearce began
‘First of all, this was the parking spot for my tour bus at CMA fest & I believe it is 668,’ she clarified, revealing she was not in fact standing over 666.
‘I am a devout Christian who takes PRIDE in using my platform to point people towards JESUS,’ she added.
‘So, for anyone wondering… there are absolutely ZERO underlying messages except a girl excited to be playing the big stage,’ Pearce concluded.
While there didn’t appear to be any Satan comments on her original Twitter post, there were several on her Instagram.
‘The obvious 666..? Disappointing,’ said Instagram user @disneyannna said while @lalasuefish added ‘Why the 666??’
The clarification came just weeks after Peace revealed she’s been diagnosed with a heart condition called pericarditis.
Mayo Clinic describes pericarditis as ‘swelling and irritation of the thin, saclike tissue surrounding the heart’ which ‘often causes sharp chest pain.’
The 34-year-old country singer spoke directly to her 808,000 followers, she detailed the diagnosis in a video clip and added, ‘love y’all.’

She noted that she will continue to perform, but must keep track of her heart rate while on stage.
‘Hey y’all, I have always been transparent and honest about every part of my life, so I feel like this deserves the same honesty.
‘You guys know that I’ve been dealing with some health issues and through that, I have developed something called pericarditis, which is a heart issue, and I’ve been working with doctors and talking to my cardiologist and I still want to be out on the road.’
She continued in the candid recording, ‘We have all decided that it is in my best interest as I’m healing to alter my shows a little bit.
‘So if my shows look a little bit different, just know it’s because I have to keep my heart rate under control right now. And that doesn’t mean I’m not going to be completely fine, it just means right now I’ve got to really take this seriously.’
The star assured fans, ‘If you are coming to the shows, if you are gonna be a part of any of the amazing things we have going on with [my album] Hummingbird, it is all gonna be great.’
‘It just might look a little different so I’m asking for a little bit of grace,’ she added humbly.
Then Pearce advised, ‘And truly, more importantly, if any of you are dealing with any kind of health stuff, or aren’t — I’m a young, healthy person that really watches what I eat and exercises, and this happened to me — I just want to use my platform to tell you to take care of your body and listen to it.
‘And just know that if it’s trying to tell you something, it’s gonna tell you.’
