I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia star Candice Warner has revealed that all was not as it seemed with her fellow contestants on the hit show.
The 39-year-old ironwoman, who was eliminated from the series on Thursday, has made the bold claim that some celebrities had ‘ulterior motives’ for signing on.
‘Everyone is doing the show for a different reason. Some people are very genuine, others are putting on an act,’ she told Yahoo.
The Sydney-born star then said she felt some of her fellow contestants had only agreed to appear on the show in order to further their career.
‘Other people are trying to get as much camera time because it might help them with something they’ve got coming up in the future,’ she explained.

‘When you’re in there, you know that some people have ulterior motives. But that’s fine, that’s their thing, that’s what they’re there for.’
Candice added that the only way she got through the show’s brutal challenges was focusing on herself and not worrying about what the other contestants were doing.
Candice’s shock eviction from the show on Thursday quickly divided viewers.
Her departure brought friend Michelle Bridges to tears and prompted a flood of mixed social media comments.

Many viewers of the Channel Ten reality television show flocked to X – formerly known as Twitter – to savagely troll the cricket WAG and express joy over her exit.
‘Why did they just call Candice kind and compassionate, to then cut to a montage of her bullying the other contestants?’ one person wrote.
‘Me looking for the kindness and compassion Candice showed her fellow camp mates,’ another quipped sarcastically.
However, many others defended the mother-of-three in social media comments.

‘Candice was really great in the end!’ someone tweeted. ‘I love how people really grow on you and teach you not to be so quick to judge!’
‘I actually don’t mind Candice,’ added another.
I’m A Celebrity fans were initially left shocked when Candice got the boot from the competition.
The athlete found herself in the nail-biting elimination alongside fellow contestants Peter and Stephen, but ultimately received the least votes from the Australian public.
But while Candice was sad her journey on the series had come to an end, she said she was ‘happy I’m going to see my beautiful family’.
