Canadian Influencer Stabbed to Death, Murder Probe Launched

Authorities in Ontario, are investigating the fatal stabbing Tuesday of influencer Nancy Grewal, who was pronounced dead at the age of 45.

LaSalle Police Chief Michael Pearce said in a statement that 'investigators are confident this was not a random act of violence.'

Pearce said that 'Grewal’s murder is being investigated as an intentional act against her,' adding that 'all information is being considered' in the ongoing probe.

'While we recognize the significant public interest in this case,' the police chief said, 'we will not share information that will compromise the investigation, including leads, tips, and investigative avenues.'

Authorities previously said that the deadly stabbing took place 'just before 9:30 p.m.' and was being viewed as 'an isolated incident.'

Grewal 'was transported by Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries,' police previously said.

Grewal had amassed a sizeable social media following, with more than 13,000 Instagram followers and 9,000 more on YouTube, with content focused on lifestyle and fitness.

Another graphic her sister posted with an image of the late content creator read, 'Signing off from this world,' adding, 'Thank you for being a part of my journey.'
