A soap legend looked completely unrecognisable with a bushy moustache as he stepped out in Manchester on Wednesday.
The Irish actor, 60, is renowned for starring in EastEnders, embarking on several love affairs and bust ups.
The TV star looked worlds away from his soap character on Albert Square as he ditched his clean-shaven face for a handlebar moustache.
The icon also made history by becoming the first mainstream British TV character to be diagnosed with HIV and helped change attitudes about the virus when fear and misinformation was rife.

Todd’s looks have completely transformed since he starred as Mark Fowler in EastEnders and Tucker Jenkins in Grange Hill.
Stepping out for a casual outing, Todd popped out to grab some shopping at Waitrose.
He sported denim jeans and a casual blue sweatshirt, while he attempted to keep a low profile with a navy blue cap.
Todd first found fame when he played the endearing schoolboy scamp Tucker Jenkins in BBC1’s Grange Hill from 1978 to 1982 and its 1983 to 1985 spin-off Tucker’s Luck.
He then went on to portray Mark Fowler in EastEnders for 13 years until HIV-positive Mark rode off on his motorbike into the Walford sunset for an off-screen death.
Todd’s profile was raised sky-high all over again in 2009 as the hilariously improbable skating star of reality TV show Dancing on Ice – a film of him losing control and shooting off into the wings of the rink quickly went viral.
Speaking about his love of acting, he previously told The Daily Mail: ‘Being a child actor teaches you discipline.

Todd is known for his infamous Dancing On Ice blunder which took place live on air during his stint on the show in 2009.
He hilariously hurtled off the rink and straight out of the studio as he fought to stop himself falling to the ground.
