She’s the lauded Australian actress perhaps best known for her star turn in the hit series McLeod’s Daughters.
After making her big screen debut in an uncredited role in the 1988 film Evil Angels, she went on to star in some of Australia’s best-loved TV series.
The popular actress’ talents have been featured in the likes of Stingers, Ocean Girl, Sea Change and Rake.
She also starred as fan favourite Yola Fatoush in the ’90s teen drama series Heartbreak High.
Her most recent small screen credit was in the Bryan Brown and Greta Scacchi series, Darby and Joan.
The talented actor also played the mother of nightclub identity John Ibrahim in The Last King Of The Cross.

The quirky ‘frameless’ specs featured rivets around the edge with thin gold arms.

Doris kept the rest of her outfit relatively low-key, opting for a ‘noir’ look for her Melbourne outing. Â

Doris also rolled her shirt sleeves up for the occasion sunny outing.
She accessorised with a black bag that was slung across her chest, along with some subtle bling around her wrists and neck.
She matched her scoop neck top with a pair of loose-fitting black cuffed trousers and plain black joggers.
She wore her curly brunette locks up in a large bun that sat perched atop her head.
Meanwhile, her husband Bill was no less low-key in a plain black T-shirt and a pair of black shorts with a white stripe embellishment.
Bill’s choice of eye protection was a touch more understated than his wife’s, and he finished his outfit with a pair of black sneakers.
Wearing a backpack over his shoulders, Bill finished his look with a light brown bucket hat and a shock of salt and pepper facial hair.
Back in 2021, Doris sold her quirky converted home in Adelaide, South Australia.

Realestate.com.au reported at the time that the former Anglican church hall in the suburb of Rosewater fetched $520,000.
Doris and Bill bought the home in 2007 and lived there when she was filming McLeod’s Daughters in Kingsford, north of Adelaide.
The couple lived in the next-door church conversion, which they sold in 2020 for $425,000, and used the hall as a studio space for acting classes.
