Camila Cabello opened up about struggling to hold down long-term relationships in the past.
While reflecting on her love life, the Havana hitmaker, 27, admitted that after ‘the year-and-a-half mark’ she tends to get ‘the wandering eye.’
‘It’s also hard in my industry because there are so many interesting people,’ she told Star.
After confirming she is single, the singer, who dated Shawn Mendes from 2019 to 2021 before briefly rekindling their romance last year, revealed she has considered trying online dating.

‘It definitely feels hard to meet people right now for sure,’ the Fifth Harmony alum said. ‘I am like, ‘Do I do the dating app thing?’ I don’t know, but then I am like, ‘Am I too picky?’
Cabello went on to explain that she is ‘not a hook-up culture person.’
‘If I don’t like you, if I don’t get butterflies, it can’t just be a physical thing for me,’ she said of what she looks for in a partner. ‘I need to think you’re funny, it has to be a personality thing. It can’t just be like, ‘I wanna make out, so I’ll make out with you to make out.’
Previously, the four-time Grammy nominee was in a relationship with bestselling author Matthew Hussey for after more than a year together, before they split in 2019.
Most recently, the performer sparked romance rumors with rapper Drake after they were seen canoodling in the Caribbean together.
During an appearance on Alex Cooper’s podcast earlier this month, Cabello talked about her brief reconciliation with Mendes and tropical getaway with Drake.
Despite packing on the PDA with the Mercy singer, 25, at Coachella last year, she realized ‘it’s not a fit’ with them.
‘Luckily, I was in a place in my life where it took me less time to realize that. It took us both less time to be like, ‘This doesn’t feel right, and we really don’t need to try so hard to make it work,” she explained.

‘It’s all good. This is not feeling good. Let’s be friends. I love you, it’s all good let’s move on, you go do your thing … become the person that you’re becoming, and I’ll root for you,’ she said.
Speaking of their reconciliation, she called it a ‘fun moment’.
‘I’m kind of impulsive in that way, I would say. If I feel it, I say it, and I’m not really good at not doing that,’ she said. ‘Then the worst place for it to live in is my mind and then I’m like Ryan Gosling in The Notebook building a house for this person.
‘I would rather say it and see what happens, and then wake up the next day and find out that it’s been heavily documented,’ she added.
‘I opted for that route. It is what it is. It was a great route, it was a fun time. It was a fun moment.’
Though they are no longer together, she still spoke highly of her ex, praising him as a ‘good guy.’
‘I will always care about him and love him. He’s such a good person and I’m lucky because some people have exes that are awful, and he is not. He’s a really kind, good person,’ she said.
She also dished on her trip to Turks and Caicos back in December with Drake.
The duo were spotted jet-skiing together and having an intimate conversation at Turks and Caicos Islands’ hotspot Noah’s Ark Beach Club in footage obtained by Pop Crave.
‘First of all, I wouldn’t say ‘straight up vacation.’ It was vacation, plus work,’ she said.

‘You know what, I love that man. I love him. We all love him,’ she added.
But she averted answering a question about whether or not they had ever dated: ‘[Have I ever had a] beautiful artistic collaboration with him? I may or may not have.’
Camila said called the vacation a ‘friends trip’ as she revealed how they both ended up in the Caribbean with one another.
The songstress described how she listens to Drake’s tunes while writing her own music. She contacted him, asking if he wanted to listen to her new album.
‘So we hung out, I played him my album,’ she said. ‘He loved it … it was also such a surreal moment for me to play Drake my songs.’
‘It’s a dream. I remember being there and being like, wow, this is so f**king sick and he’s so generous and so kind and – but anyway, so I didn’t like just go on vacation with him,’ she explained.
‘It was like a vacation, like, work thing. But honestly, I will say I love him. And that has been such a fun part about this whole experience.’
