Calvin Harris Comments on Miley Cyrus ‘Feud’ While Teasing New Music Without Her

Calvin Harris has addressed rumours of a feud with Miley Cyrus as he teased new music on TikTok on Tuesday.

The DJ, 41, offered a sneak peak at a collaboration with female artist Jessie Reyez, who is the co-writer of the tune, called Ocean.

However despite some fans being thrilled, others noted that Calvin had previously shared a glimpse at the unreleased track with Grammy award winning singer Miley, 32, on vocals.

Fans asked: ‘What happened to the one with Miley?; I love Miley’s version more; Please release it with Miley’s vocals’.

In response to the comments, Calvin joked fans should ‘tell her’ as he also seemed to want to release the track feature the We Can’t Stop hitmaker.

He also added that it’s ‘not possible’ and ‘I’m afraid not’, when questioned if the Miley version was will ever see the light of day.

The superstar DJ claims it was a mishap on his end that led to Miley no longer appearing on the track.

Asked who was to blame, he said: ‘Nah it was my bad . . . crossed wires.’

Dispelling speculation the pair had fallen out, he added: ‘I love Miley.’

Daily Mail have contacted Calvin Harris and Miley Cyrus’ representatives for comment.

Earlier this year, Calvin returned with his first song since 2018 to feature only his own vocals, Smoke The Pain Away, and his first single since his 2024 collaboration with Ellie Goulding, Free.

As for Miley, the pop star is planning ‘something really special’ for Hannah Montana’s 20th anniversary.

The singer shot to fame in the Disney show – which ran for four seasons from 2006 to 2011 – and she revealed she would love to pay tribute to the series with a special celebration next year.

She told SiriusXM’s TikTok Radio: ‘I want to design something really, really special for it because it really was the beginning of all of this that now sits here today.

‘Without Hannah, there really wouldn’t be this kind of… this me.’

The show starred Cyrus as Miley Stewart, a teenage girl living a double life as famous pop singer Hannah Montana and Miley is excited to celebrate the character.

She said: ‘It’s so crazy to think, too, that I started as a character that I thought was going to be impossible to shed.

‘And now that’s something that when I walk into a space, it’s looked at as this sense of nostalgia or something that you have from your childhood, but I’ve now been as kind of integrated into everyone’s life as the character itself.

‘So that’s exciting to get to celebrate that.’

It comes after Calvin and his Radio 1 DJ wife Vick Hope, 34, celebrated the arrival of their first child together.

British DJ Calvin announced the arrival of their son Micah on his Instagram page and praised his spouse as a ‘superhero’.

BBC Radio 1 host Vick had a home water birth at their property in Ibiza, where she flew after beginning her maternity leave.

Calvin shared a candid photograph of his wife laying in the birthing pool and a tender shot of himself with Micah moments after the birth.

Alongside the series of photos, Calvin announced the birth and wrote: ’20th of July our boy arrived. Micah is here! My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much Micah.’
