Three days after Jada Pinkett Smith revealed she’s been secretly separated from her husband Will Smith since 2016, her sister-in-law Patricia ‘Trisha’ Pinkett officially filed for divorce from her 43-year-old half-brother Caleeb Pinkett.
The Emmy-nominated Cobra Kai producer originally began dating the jewelry designer in 2002, they wed in September 2006, and she listed their legal separation date as February 28, 2020 just before the COVID-19 pandemic – according to TMZ.
Caleeb was last pictured with Trisha in February 2022 during a ‘fun’ family outing to Sherman Oaks Castle Park for miniature golf.
Citing ‘irreconcilable differences,’ the Korean momager requested spousal support as well as joint legal and physical custody of their 11-year-old daughter Caila Koren Pinkett.
Trisha – who’s been sharing many inspirational quotes on Instagram – asked the court to terminate its ability to award spousal support to Pinkett.

In September 2020, Jada revealed that both the Just A Lil Bling co-founder and her daughter Jade were ‘quarantining’ with her in Calabasas during an episode of her canceled Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk.

Pinkett is clearly proud of his relationship with Jada and her estranged 55-year-old husband, who boasts an eye-popping $350M fortune.
Last Friday, Pinkett Smith spilled the beans that she and Will have been living life as single people for the past seven years while promoting her 416-page memoir Worthy, which hits shelves this Tuesday.
‘I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce,’ the Daytime Emmy-winning producer told Hoda Kotb on NBC News.
‘We will work through whatever. And I just haven’t been able to break that promise.’
Jada continued: ‘We love our family. And we love each other. It’s more of a life partnership. Now, 10 years from now, Hoda, who knows? He’s getting old! Who’s going to be there for him, Hoda? It’s going to be me.’
Pinkett Smith officially kicked off her 12-date book signing tour on Monday night at the Perelman Performing Arts Center in Manhattan with moderator Arianna Huffington.
