Arrowverse and Mad Men actress Caity Lotz is expecting her first child with husband Kyle Schmid.
The 37-year-old star – who is best known for playing Sara Lance / White Canary in DC’s Arrowverse and Stephanie Horton in the AMC series – took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy by sharing a sonogram and a series of snaps showing off her blossoming baby bump.
In one funny frame, she compared stomachs with her husband.
The star – who became engaged during a trip to Morocco – also penned a short message in her post’s caption to let her fans know that she was ‘gaining weight for the role of a lifetime.’
She wore a sleeveless black dress that conformed tightly to her baby bump underneath a light beige biker-style jacket in her snaps.

The performer’s gorgeous brunette hair cascaded onto her shoulders as she posed for the snaps.
Several of her castmates from the Arrowverse, including Candice Patton, Katherine McNamara and Danielle Panabaker, sent well wishes in the post’s comments section.
Schmid, 39, kept it casual in a flannel button-up shirt, black t-shirt and beige pants as he spent time with his wife.
The star of The I-Land also reposted the photos on his own Instagram account and wrote a message in which he expressed his excitement about being able to start a family with Lotz.
‘Never would have thought the woman of my dreams could have become anymore beautiful. Your glow, your shine, you’re going to be the best mom in the world,’ he wrote.
Schmid concluded by writing that he could not ‘wait to be a proud poppa. What a whirlwind of a year!’
Lotz went on to give her fans another look at her baby bump by sharing a photo on her account on Tuesday, in which she held her stomach as she took a break from a hike.
The actress donned a sleeveless black athletic top and a pair of patterned leggings, both of which conformed tightly to her stomach while she posed for the photo.

The actress and her husband announced that they had become engaged by sharing a post on his Instagram account in May of 2022.
The happy couple went on to tie the knot during a wedding ceremony that was held in Colombia in February of last year.
