The superhero series Spider-Noir is Cage's first lead TV role.

Based on the Marvel Comics character, the show is set in an alternate world based on 1930s New York.

The Oscar winner portrays the aging private investigator Ben Reilly. He previously played an iteration of Spider-Man Noir in the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.

Down on his luck Ben is known as The Spider – an older, hardened version of Spider-Man.

Other cast members include Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson, Brendan Gleeson as villain Silvermane and Jack Huston as Flint Marko.
