Busy Philipps is opening up about her guest-starring stint on HBO’s Entourage… admitting she was by no means a fan.
HBO debuted Entourage in 2004, and it quickly became a network hit, loosely based on executive producer Mark Wahlberg’s experiences as an up and coming actor.
The show ran for eight seasons, ending in 2011, and spawned a 2015 movie that brought the cast back together.
Philipps, 44, appeared on Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino, where she was asked about her guest-starring experience in a 2007 episode.
‘Full disclosure. Like, I f***ing hated that show,’ she began on the podcast, when the host brought up her episode.

‘And I remember, though, being sort of told, like, “This is the thing you like, you should do this,”‘ she added.
‘Like, “you gotta do that. If you’re a hot girl, like, like and you wanna be like, you gotta be on Entourage,”‘ she continued.
She admitted that she had auditioned, ‘a couple times,’ adding she also auditioned for the character Cheryl she landed in the Season 3 episode Dog Day Afternoon.
That particular episode included an arc where Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon) and Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) were using their guard dog Arnold to help get them dates.
Philipps’ Cheryl was one of the girls they tried to pick up, resulting in a make-out scene with Turtle, with the actress saying they gave her a warm welcome.
“I really just worked with Jerry and Kevin, and Jerry was just the sweetest, the nicest kid,’ she said, adding that she thinks their kissing scene was his first in the show.
She added that the episode was long before there were any, ‘intimacy coordinators’ like there are on sets now.
‘I remember, like, taking him aside and being, like, “Okay. Look. Like, here’s how this is gonna work,”‘ she added.

‘Because it was post Dawson’s Creek that I did that. So I had obviously done a lot of making out on the on the creek,’ she said.
‘(So I was like) “I need this. I know how to do it, Jerry. Listen, nothing to be nervous about.” So, like, yeah. I remember having this whole conversation, and he was so nice,’ she said.

She also played Mrs. George in the musical movie adaptation of Mean Girls, which debuted earlier this year.
