Bruce Springsteen and Jeremy Allen White had a cordial reunion on the red carpet at the premiere of the biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere on Sunday night at the New York Film Festival Spotlight Gala.
Springsteen, 76, was clad in a black suit jacket with a dark gray polo shirt and jeans at the screening, which was held at Alice Tully Hall.
The 20-time Grammy winner rounded out his ensemble with black boots and wore an earring to the screening.
Springsteen told TIME on Thursday he felt the film’s director Scott Cooper – who penned the biopic based off Warren Zanes’ book – had a daunting task in depicting his battle with depression on the silver screen.
The film ‘could have gone in a lot of different directions’ in terms of his depression battles, the iconic artist of hits such as Born to Run, Born in the U.S.A. and Hungry Heart told the outlet.
A logline for the film from producers describes the storyline of the motion picture as ‘Springsteen’s journey crafting his 1982 album Nebraska, which emerged as he recorded Born in the USA with the E Street Band.’

Springsteen said he had thought of taking his own life in 1982 after his album Nebraska was released, though his manager Landau intervened and suggested he get ‘professional help.’
The advice ‘was and has been a total life changer,’ Springsteen told TIME.
Landau told TIME of Springsteen’s woes at the time: ‘The show-business life is wonderful if it’s part of a larger life.
‘If it becomes a substitute for life, that’s the danger zone.’
White was dapper as he posed on the red carpet in a black leather jacket with a black tie and black pants.
White, 34, is best known for his Emmy-winning portrayal of Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto on FX’s The Bear.
He past played another 1980s icon in late pro wrestler Kerry Von Erich in 2023’s The Iron Claw.
Joining White in the movie includes Jeremy Strong, who played the iconic role of Kendall Roy on HBO’s Succession.

Director Cooper told the outlet of the timing of the motion picture: ‘This narrow time frame reveals deeper truths about Bruce’s lifelong struggles with identity and creative honesty.’
In the chat with TIME, Springsteen explained why he’s never strayed too far from his New Jersey beginnings.
‘What I worked very hard on was not running, but on standing, on making your life choices, and then standing with and for them,’ he said. ‘That’s been my theme since that record.’
Stephen Graham, Paul Walter Hauser, Gaby Hoffmann, Marc Maron and Johnny Cannizzaro round out an impressive ensemble cast.
Deliver Me From Nowhere arrives in theaters October 24.
