Brooks Nader makes a bold statement in a revealing dress and unveils new blonde hair at Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue launch in NY following recent divorce

Brooks Nader sizzled up a storm while attending the 60th Anniversary Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue launch in New York on Thursday.

The model, 27, had all eyes on her as she ditched her bra in a completely see-through black beaded floor-length dress that showed off her enviable figure. 

The Baton Rouge native — who featured on the magazine’s cover last year — wore a pair of nude thong underwear and black platform heels for the occasion. 

The beauty also debuted a drastic new hair transformation as she changed her signature dark tresses to a new light blonde shade. 

Her appearance at the event comes two weeks after it was revealed that she is  divorcing her husband of nearly four years Billy Haire.

Brooks had her golden tresses parted in the middle and styled in light waves which cascaded down her shoulders and back. 

She completed her look with picture-perfect makeup including pink lipstick and bronze eyeshadow. 

This year’s SI Swimsuit Issue boasts four covers, featuring Kate Upton, Gayle King, Chrissy Teigen and Hunter McGrady. 

Brooks graced one of the covers of the special issue last year.

The star also took to her Instagram on Thursday to show off her new blonde strands in a sizzling mirror selfie, where she flashed her toned midriff in a white crop top and blue jeans.

The hair transformation is a recent one, as just last week Brooks attended the Smile Train Gala in New York City with her signature dark brunette locks.  

Brooks got her start after she was selected and won the Sports Illustrated 2019 Swim Search, and was featured on the magazine’s cover in 2023.

‘Growing up, I had a copy of the magazine pinned to my bulletin board,’ she previously told The New York Post. ‘Being from a small town in Louisiana, I never thought this was an option, but my parents always encouraged me to chase my dreams and that’s exactly what I did.’

In 2019, she convinced her mom to fly to Miami with her for the Swim Search open casting – which she won by beating out more than 10,000 other contestants.

‘I loved the process because they didn’t even look at me in a swimsuit for the initial casting,’ she told the outlet.

‘They got to know me as a person and asked what I was passionate about. They wanted to know Brooks the person, not as a model. I was surprised when I didn’t just walk in the room and hear, ‘OK, next.’ It was like a therapy session.’

Brooks has been featured inside the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition every year since, but 2023 was her first cover.

Earlier this month it was reported that the star and her estranged businessman husband have been living apart for months and are divorcing.

A source told DailyMail.com that the couple amicably came to the decision to end their marriage.

The pair were last photographed together publicly in early February during a vacation to Mexico.

Notably, Nader attended the recent 8th Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards solo on April 28.

She failed to acknowledge their most recent wedding anniversary on social media and Haire has not appeared on the model’s Instagram since December 2022.

Nader and Haire tied the knot back on December 14, 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The couple exchanged vows in front of 330 of their closest friends and family, a rep for Nader told PEOPLE.

Nader gushed about how ‘excited’ she was to finally ‘call [Haire] hubby’ and that she was looking forward to their future together.

Haire is Vice President of the media company The Arena Group, which owns Sports Illustrated.

Because of this, Nader said that he has always understood the pressures of her job and fully supported her.

‘He’s busy, too,’ she explained. ‘He does his thing and although sometimes we are like ships passing in the night, it works perfectly for us.

‘And when we do get annoyed with each other, I’m probably about to jump on a plane.’
