Brooke Shields and Daughter Dazzle at Charity Gala

The American actress, 60, was joined by her daughter Rowan, 22, for Animal Haven's Benefit for the Animals in on Thursday. 

Brooke stepped out in a black striped glitzy slip dress paired with stilettos and a satin clutch bag complete with a silver buckle.  

Meanwhile Rowan - who was honoured with an award at the charity gala - opted for a one-shoulder tulle navy gown featuring a cut-out lace pattern and a ruched bodice. 

The mother-daughter duo were joined at the animal charity event by their own pup Cluny, with Brooke even bringing along a pillow with his face printed on it. 

Rowan was recently reported to have joined the second season of the Bravo series in October, and production is expected to continue through the spring.

The show follows a group of '' and other children of well-known celebrities as they navigate adulthood and careers in New York.

Next Gen NYC also stars Riley Burruss, the daughter of ’s ; , the daughter of Real Housewives of ’s ; Brooks Marks, the son of Real Housewife of Salt Lake City’s Meredith Marks; Ariana Bierman, the daughter of Real Housewives of Atlanta star ; along with Damon Dash’s daughter Ava Dash among others.

Brooke has shown unwavering support when it comes to Rowan's career aspirations, and she appears to be actively encouraging her daughter's role on Next Gen NYC as well.

'She wants to go into broadcast journalism and news,' the proud mother told E! News in June last year. 'She's been at different outlets. She's done their carpet stuff.'

Brooke, who also , said everyone tells her how much they love her daughter.

'She's so appealing as a person,' Brooke continued. 'I mean, I'm her mother, you know, but people love her, and they tell me all the time. They come out of the woodwork, like when I'm doing a morning show.'

Speaking about the advice she gives Rowan, Brooke added, 'I just say, "Never give up. Just keep going." She's going to be just fine.'

Last month, Rowan referenced her mother's brief fling with John F Kennedy Jr in a video posted on TikTok. 

She was lip-syncing to Taylor Swift and Charli xcx's live performance of Boom Clap from Taylor's 1989 tour as 'I wonder if JFK Jr was a good kisser' was typed over the video.

Back in 2023, Brooke remembered the late son of John F Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy, aka the 'prince of Camelot,' as 'one of the best kissers' during an interview on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show.

She revealed she had loved him as a child.

'I was so madly in love with him. Since the time I was like three, my mom [Teri Shields] would say, "That's the boy you're going to marry."'

Brooke then recalled the time she and JFK Jr met during a skiing trip to Aspen, Colorado.

'We went out. I was invited with the family. He kept saying I looked like his mother, which was really interesting and a compliment. It was also like, "I don't know how to feel about this."'

Brooke admitted she was uncertain about going out with a man she had fancied for years.

'And then we did have a real date. And I wouldn't sleep with him because I kind of loved him too much,' she recalled.

After the pair enjoyed drinks at a bar with his family, they jumped in a cab back to JFK Jr’s 'chalet, hotel that he was in' before they shared a smooch. 

'He kissed me, and it was like the best kiss I've ever had in my life. It was beyond not disappointing. The lips are beautiful, and the face is amazing, and the body and the person, and he was down to earth and funny and irreverent,' she said.
