Former Vanderpump Rules star Brittany Cartwright believes that the current cast members are ‘jealous’ of Ariana Madix’s success following the Scandoval affair.
After her boyfriend Tom Sandoval cheated on her with pal Rachel Leviss last year, Ariana’s celebrity status skyrocketed and she was inundated with lucrative endorsement deals, acting and hosting roles, and a starring role on Broadway.
Brittany, 35, addressed Ariana’s newfound popularity on the Not Skinny Not Fat podcast after host Amanda Hirsch asked if the cast can truly be ‘genuinely happy’ for Ariana – or will it always be mixed with ‘jealousy’.
Amanda added, ‘Because you’re all kind of doing the same thing and you all want the same things and [Ariana’s] getting it right now.’
‘I think it’s obvious that there’s a little bit of jealousy going on in that show,’ said Cartwright who is now starring on her own show, The Valley.

‘I’m definitely happy for her and I know that they’re all happy for her. I think that everybody’s just like, “Well, why isn’t this happening to me!”
‘Like Scheana [Shay] for instance,’ she said.
‘She’s definitely happy for Ariana, but you can still be happy for someone and want to do those things too.’
Madix getting cast on Dancing with the Stars over Shay was a storyline on the current season of Vanderpump Rules.
Following Scandoval, Madix landed a seemingly endless string of endorsement deals with brands like Bic, Duracell, Bloomingdales, Lay’s, T-Mobile, Uber, Airbnb, and more.
The 38-year-old also just launched her own footwear collaboration with DSW.
Along with endorsements and doing Dancing with the Stars, Madix also launched a cocktail book, starred in a Lifetime film, and was just named the new host of Love Island USA.
She covered Glamour magazine and Us Weekly, and even played Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway.

Madix’s Vanderpump Rules co-star Lala Kent has been critical of her following Scandoval.
In a confessional on the show, she said Madix needs to ‘pull her head from out of her own a**’ and ‘remember who her friends are and what they’ve done for her.’
Meanwhile, Madix reportedly purchased a $1.6 million ‘recently renovated mid-century modern’ property that was originally built in 1962.
