Brittany Cartwright Addresses Fling with Married Man Amid Divorce from Jax Taylor

Brittany Cartwright has revealed that she is available and ready to date again amid her bitter divorce from her husband Jax Taylor.

‘I am single, so introduce me,’ Cartwright, 36, said onstage during the Peaks & The Valley panel held at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Friday.

She also clarified the nature of her recent relationship with one Brandon Hanson, after she was beset by rumors accusing her of dating him while he was married.

Cartwright explained that by the time Hanson became romantically involved with her, he was already separated from his wife.

‘It was like a short lived thing. It got more popular on the internet, like much quicker than it should have. So I would not have went public with that,’ she said, noting that he was ‘separated, just like me, not married. I’m not a homewrecker.’

As for the type of man she wants to date next, Cartwright explained that she wants someone with affection for her son Cruz, four, whom she had with Taylor.

‘Somebody who’s a family man, somebody who eventually would love Cruz. You know, he’s my priority,’ noted Cartwright, who shot to fame with Taylor on Vanderpump Rules before they both started starring on The Valley.

She announced her split from Hanson in mid-October, two months after their relationship went public when they were seen on a romantic getaway to Mexico.

‘We were very good friends before we started dating. It was kind of like a whirlwind relationship. It went into the public way sooner than we ever would have wanted it to,’ she said on her podcast When Reality Hits with Brittany Cartwright.

‘We still care a lot about each other,’ she noted. ‘It ended amicably, but I just could not do the long distance and he’s got a lot of obligations with his three kids and jobs, and we lived three hours away, so it was just too tough to keep it going.’

Cartwright broke her breakup news shortly after undergoing a ‘mommy makeover’ that included a tummy tuck and a breast reduction.

She confessed on her podcast that her decision to have plastic surgery stemmed partly from the scathing remarks Taylor made about her body during their relationship, such as that she ‘looked like a tree trunk.’

Cartwright explained that she ‘was torn down in my last relationship’ and ‘lost a lot of my confidence, so I really wanted to get my confidence back.’

Over the first two seasons of Cartwright’s current reality show, fans watched the explosive collapse of her marriage to Taylor, who has confessed to cocaine addiction and anger issues and now maintains he is sober.

Cartwright has accused him of violent behavior, including that he once ‘threw’ a coffee table during a fight and struck her knee, which ‘turned black immediately.’

She also claimed that he once ‘threw me into the rose bushes’ during one outburst, an accusation Taylor denied, prompting her to retort: ‘It’s on my Ring camera doorbell. My close friends up here have seen the videos.’

Taylor announced his departure from The Valley this July, saying he planned to ‘focus’ on ‘my sobriety, my mental health and coparenting relationship.’
