The British Soap Awards got off to a terrible start when it aired on Thursday, with the show being delayed for seven whole minutes due to technical difficulties.
The awards took place on Saturday night at the Hackney Empire in London, with a slew of the country’s favourite soaps stars in attendance and Jane McDonald playing host.
But when it came time for fans to get to watch the ceremony itself, they were greeted with a black screen from ITV with the message: ‘We’re sorry for the disruption’.
