Britain’s Got Talent star Tom Ball has welcomed his miracle baby with wife Hannah, a little girl they have named Adeline Hope.
Crooner Tom, 27, was by Hannah’s side when their baby girl was delivered by c-section at midnight on Wednesday, weighing 7lbs 5oz.
Doctors were worried that their baby was going to be too big for a natural birth so took steps to induce Hannah two weeks early.
But when their baby’s heartbeat dropped they took the decision to deliver the baby by C-section, something Tom admits was very scary.
In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, Tom, who now has six weeks at home with his wife and daughter before going off on his 34-date UK tour Spotlight in March, said: ‘We are both over the moon. Adeline is just perfect and Hannah has been amazing, she’s been a real trooper.
‘We were induced two weeks early, because baby was getting big so they wanted to ensure that Hannah was able to have a natural birth if possible.

‘We went in on Monday to be induced, the 13th January. It was a rough 24 hours for Hannah, she was in a lot of pain and didn’t sleep. It was tough on Hannah.
‘The next day on Tuesday the 14th, they came in and Hannah had dilated which meant that her body had responded to the hormones she’d been given to bring on the labour.
‘They said they were ready to break her waters but then it got incredibly busy on the ward, there were five other babies, including a set of twins being born at the same time.
‘We had to wait eight hours, and at 5pm they broke Hannah’s waters and we were waiting to see whether she would naturally start contractions and start active labour.
‘It didn’t start as quickly as they’d liked, they’d got the Oxytocin ready, a hormone which brings on the contractions, and then at about 10.30pm they were double checking baby’s heartbeat before they started and they noticed that when Hannah was contracting baby’s heartbeat was going down quite considerably which was not good.
‘They were hesitant to start the Oxytocin because that would encourage it even more which was really scary.
‘They said to wait another ten minutes, and gave us the option of starting the Oxytocin and seeing what happens or to go straight for a c-section.
‘Hannah said lets’ wait another ten minutes and see what happens but again it went low.

‘They were predicting a 16 hour labour and ultimately we thought we’d end up in a c-section anyway, so we made the decision to go straight for the c-section.
‘I’m so proud of Hannah, she’s been amazing with little Adeline. We still can’t believe that she is here, our little miracle.’
The couple, who spoke about their struggles to conceive naturally and their devastation at being told that fertility treatment on the NHS would be a waste of taxpayers’ money, revealed they were expecting their first child exclusively to MailOnline after one round of privately funded IVF back in September.
They decided not to find out the sex of their baby before the birth but had already chosen the name Adeline if it was a girl.
Tom said: ‘We included the name Hope largely down the journey that we’ve been on over the last year with IVF.
‘Hannah suggested the name ‘Hope’ on the drive into hospital on the Monday and I just thought that’s beautiful.
‘We didn’t know what we were having but we had Adeline as a first name we just didn’t have a second one.
‘We’d decided on Adeline years ago. When we were first trying for a baby we knew that the girls name would be Adeline because of a song, it turns out a couple if songs now, but initially, there’s a song called ‘Sweet Adeline’ by Avi Kaplan, we love him and his music.
‘And then another one of our favourite bands, Alt-J released a song called ‘Adeline’ and we were like this is a sign, it’s such a beautiful name.
‘We’ve even played the songs when Adeline came back into the ward. I’ve been singing it to her too.’

Tom shot to fame coming third on BGT in 2022, before becoming a ‘golden buzzer’ finalist on America’s Got Talent: All Stars in 2023.
He released his debut album Curtain Call last year, achieving a Top 5.
His success allowed him to give up his job as a teacher, and meant that he was able to become a father as without his show business career he wouldn’t have had the money to pay for expensive IVF treatment.
He added: ‘We only got out of hospital yesterday. I went home a few hours after she was born on Wednesday.
‘Hannah agreed that if one of us could get a few hours sleep it would be beneficial so I went home and came straight back at 9am and was there all day.
‘Then I went back in yesterday and they finally let us leave and we’re now home, feeding and trying to sort out everything.
‘It’s been a rollercoaster the last year and to look back at that first meeting we had with the people we did IVF with is almost a year ago. And now we have our little girl. I’m home now for the next six weeks and then I’ve got some gigs, and then I start my tour.
‘I know Hannah is keen on bringing Adeline to a couple of the dates even if it’s just back stage, which will be lovely.
‘But at the moment we’re just going to enjoy being in this baby bubble.’
